00:00Hi, navigating the path to breakthrough, overcoming challenges and embracing God's promises.
00:152 Corinthians 4.17 tells us we view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity.
00:25We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory
00:31far beyond all comparison.
00:34In the powerful true words of Oswald Chambers, faith never knows where it is being led, but
00:40it loves and knows the one who is leading.
00:44Navigating the path to breakthrough, overcoming challenges and embracing God's promises.
00:51Want to know more?
00:53Hang around.
00:57Welcome, welcome to Lions Roar 3.8 Ministries.
01:02Amos 3.8 tells us, a lion has roared who will not fear or hear the Lord God has spoken who
01:09can but prophesy.
01:11My name is George Magalhães and we are an apostolic ministry with a prophetic teaching
01:17edge.
01:18It is our passion, our mission to reignite, equip and release Christ-like disciples, both
01:23locally and globally.
01:24We do that through our itinerant ministry, but as well as providing with resources just
01:29like this one to help you, to aid you in your God-given calling.
01:34Today we have a great topic, a great topic, bringing us to our main verse today.
01:41And as we heard at the beginning, the main verse comes from chapter two, sorry, 2 Corinthians
01:51chapter four, verse 17.
01:54So 2 Corinthians 4.17, now reading from the New King James Version, for our light affliction,
02:01which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight
02:08of glory.
02:09Amen.
02:10Amen.
02:11Oh, come on.
02:14Here we are.
02:17There's my beautiful, right here, right next to me.
02:21And she's got an amazing word this week for us.
02:24So without further ado, let me just give you a little quick introduction, just so you know
02:30what we're going to be speaking, studying today.
02:34Yes, we do have a study.
02:35So today's words will be a study on navigating the path to breakthrough, overcoming challenges
02:42and embracing God's promises.
02:45So first, Sabrina, my wife, Prophet Sabrina here, will give a simple intro, so a context
02:51into today's topic, and then we'll dive right into our study, covering the following specific
02:57questions.
02:58Yes, we're going to be covering, answering the following specific questions.
03:02Who is our Lord, specifically in times of adversity and attack?
03:07Number two.
03:08Who is our enemy?
03:11Very good.
03:12Number three.
03:13What is the enemy's reaction when we are close to God?
03:17Number four.
03:18What are some of the enemy's tactics?
03:20Six of the most common tactics.
03:23And number five.
03:25What are some practical points we can take from today's study?
03:29Okay, so let's pray.
03:31Lord, I thank you for this wonderful word.
03:34I thank you for the study that we have on today.
03:36I thank you for every single brother or every single sister that is online, that is listening,
03:41that is watching right now.
03:42We lift them up in your hands, and we thank you for your spirit of wisdom and revelation
03:47is moving even as we speak right now.
03:50We thank you for miracles, signs, and wonders.
03:53Follow your word wherever you go.
03:56Lord, as we declare your word, as we study your word today, Lord, we thank you for breakthrough.
04:02We thank you for breakthrough, Lord, in people's lives, in finances, in their health, in their
04:06marriages, in their workplaces, wherever they need a breakthrough.
04:10We thank you that there'll be plenty of testimonies of your breakthrough tonight itself or today,
04:18wherever you are in the world.
04:19We thank you, Lord, for you are absolutely good, God.
04:23In Jesus' mighty name, amen.
04:26All right, here we go.
04:28Well, today, let's dive into what happens when we are on the brink of a breakthrough
04:34and when we've just experienced one.
04:37So take a look at the challenges and growth that come with these transformative moments.
04:44Now over the years in ministry, I mean, one of the most frequent questions we've heard
04:49is why it seems that the closer we get to God, the more challenges we face, or sometimes,
04:56you know, even after experiencing a healing, it can feel like the same issues are resurfacing.
05:03It's a common challenge, and often people might return to the old habits simply because
05:09they're unsure of how to move forward.
05:12The Bible tells us that my people perish for lack of knowledge, which often comes from
05:18not being focused on God.
05:20Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that God is all-powerful and greater than anything
05:26we face, including the enemy itself.
05:30Let's start by reading in Hosea 4, verse 6.
05:34All right, Hosea 4, verse 6, from the Amplified Classic.
05:39My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
05:43Because you, the priestly nation, have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you
05:48shall be no priest to me.
05:51Seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I also forget your children.
05:57The point of here is, without knowledge, or should I say, the knowledge of God, of
06:04the Word of God, is crucial, as we read from this passage, because it helps us truly grasp
06:11the practical application of who our Lord is and who we are in Him, and who is our enemy.
06:19As George introduced already today, in today's study, we will be examining and answering
06:25the following questions.
06:27First one, who is our Lord, specifically in times of adversity and attack?
06:31Second one?
06:33Who is our enemy?
06:34Third one, what is the enemy's reaction when we are close to God?
06:38Number four?
06:39What are some of the enemy's tactics?
06:42And number five, what are some practical points we can take from today's study?
06:47Now our study, number one, we're going to start, who is our Lord in times of adversity
06:53and attack?
06:55Very important to know, right?
06:57To confidently trust in our walk with Jesus Christ, it is essential to understand who
07:04God is, isn't it?
07:06Knowing His heart for us is filled with hope, not just empty words, right?
07:11Give us the strength then to navigate any circumstances with faith and assurance.
07:17Then we also can be like Paul, we can grow confident like Paul, who boldly expresses
07:22faith in 2 Timothy 1, verse 12.
07:26Let's read it.
07:272 Timothy 1, verse 12, again, reading from the Amplified Classic.
07:32And this is why I am suffering as I do.
07:36Still I am not ashamed, for I know, perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with
07:41Him whom I have believed, adhered to, and trusted in, and relied on.
07:48And I am positively persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been
07:54entrusted to me, and which I have committed to Him until that day.
08:00Wow, what a wonderful scripture that explained quite a bit, right?
08:03So He is, our God is the creator of everything, the Alpha and the Omega.
08:09There is no one else like Him, and He has the final word in all things, right?
08:15We are going to do a lot of scriptural confirmation, so I hope you guys write it down or we listen
08:21to it afterward.
08:22Let's read Colossians 1, verse 16.
08:25Colossians 1, verse 16, again, reading from the Amplified Classic.
08:28For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things
08:35unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities.
08:40All things were created and exist through Him, by His service, intervention, and in
08:46and for Him.
08:47So knowing He is the creator, when we surrender to God during our challenges, we can be confident.
08:54I mean, seriously, as these scriptures assure us that He is our refuge, our strength, our
09:00hope, our peace, and our source of power.
09:03Let's confirm it.
09:04George, you want to read Psalm 46, verse 1?
09:07Psalm 46, verse 1, Amplified Classic.
09:11God is our refuge and strength, mighty and impenetrable to temptation, a very present
09:17and well-proven help in trouble.
09:19Wow.
09:20See, Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31 from the NKJV says, but those who wait on the Lord
09:26shall renew their strength.
09:28They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
09:30They shall run and not be weary.
09:32They shall walk and not faint.
09:34So that shows who our God is when He's with us in all those circumstances.
09:39Let's keep reading who He is in those circumstances.
09:42So next one, you want to read it?
09:44Romans 15, verse 13 in the NKJV.
09:48Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound
09:54in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
09:58So we understand who our creator is, right?
10:02So who is our Lord in times of adversity and attack?
10:06So when we are under all those pressure, who is He?
10:10So in times of adversity and attack, our Lord is our unshakable refuge and strength, like
10:17a sturdy anchor in a storm.
10:19As Paul expressed in 2 Timothy 1 at 12, we trust Him because we know His faithful character.
10:26He is the creator of all, Colossians 1.16, and our ever-present help, Psalm 46.1, which
10:33we've all just gone through.
10:35With Him, we saw above all challenges, renewed in strength, Isaiah 40.31, filled with hope
10:42and peace through His Spirit, Romans 15.13.
10:48Now that we understand who is our Lord, we need to understand who is the enemy, to understand
10:54who is against us and why, right?
10:58We need to know the enemy.
11:00We need to, let's look at what the Word of God first says about the enemy and its character.
11:05Let's read John 8, verse 44.
11:08John 8, verse 44, Amplified Classic.
11:11You are of your father the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify
11:16the desires which are characteristic of your father.
11:20He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there
11:25is no truth in him.
11:27When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar himself,
11:33and the father of lies, and of all that is false.
11:39Now let's look at another verse which still talks about the enemy, Isaiah 14, verse 12.
11:46Amen.
11:47Isaiah 14, verse 12, again, Amplified Classic.
11:51How have you fallen from heaven, O light-bringer and day-star, sun of the morning?
11:57How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations,
12:04O blasphemous satanic king of Babylon.
12:07Now we know that the devil is a liar from that scripture we've just read, right?
12:11He is only an angel created by God who was cast down out of heaven.
12:16Since it was created and cast down, we can be confident that it is no match for God.
12:23Since God is with us, we have already won.
12:27Now why is Satan so bothered, right, about us then?
12:31Because he's jealous of man's relationship with God.
12:34These are important to know why attacks come as well.
12:37Let's look at Job chapter 1, verse 9 to 10.
12:41Job 1, 9 to 10, Amplified Classic.
12:44Then Satan answered the Lord, does Job reverently fear God for nothing?
12:49Have you not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has on every side?
12:55You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his
13:00possessions have increased in the land.
13:02So as we've just heard in Job chapter 1, verse 9 to 10, Satan questions Job's loyalty to
13:08God, suggesting that Job's faithfulness is due to the blessing and protection he has
13:12received rather than a genuine relationship with God.
13:16Now these reflect a deeper envy and antagonism toward the relationship between God and humans.
13:23So who is our enemy?
13:25Our enemy is the devil, a fallen angel who was cast out of heaven, Isaiah 14, verse 12.
13:33And he is the father of lies, John 8, 44.
13:36He opposes God's truth and seeks to destroy the relationship between God and humanity.
13:42As seen in his jealousy of Job's faithfulness, Job 1, verses 9 to 10, however, Satan is no
13:51match for God.
13:52And with God on our side, we already have the victory.
13:57Now here's the point.
14:00He's already jealous of us, not knowing that we are getting closer and closer to where
14:05we belong, to having a relationship with God.
14:07What is his reaction?
14:08So number three, what is the enemy's reaction when we are close to God?
14:12It goes without saying that Satan is unhappy when we have a strong relationship with God.
14:18Being the father of lies, it can't be trusted.
14:22Someone wise once said, and I really like that, said, if it was a conflict of sheer
14:26power, there would be no conflict.
14:29God is all powerful.
14:31So the conflict must be of another kind.
14:34It's actually a conflict of a character.
14:37See, it wants us to doubt God.
14:39It slanders God's character by causing people to question God's goodness.
14:44It tries to disrupt our journey and discourage us from moving forward in our faith.
14:49We must remember, when we draw near to God, we step into His glory.
14:54And Satan's attempts to hinder us are just signs that we are on the right path.
15:00Recognizing those signs of the enemy helps us to stay discerning rather than focusing
15:05on the negativity.
15:07It's all about being aware so that we can stand firm and remain strong in our faith.
15:13Let's read 1 Peter 5, verse 8.
15:171 Peter 5, verse 8, Amplified Classic.
15:20Be well balanced, temperate, sober of mind.
15:24Be vigilant and cautious at all times, for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around
15:30like a lion roaring in fierce hunger, seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
15:36So what is the enemy's reaction when we are close to God?
15:41When we are close to God, the enemy reacts with increased opposition, seeking to devour
15:47and disrupt our faith, as 1 Peter 5 warns.
15:51The devil, unable to overpower God, tries to make us doubt His goodness and character.
15:57The enemy's attacks are signs we're on the right path, and by staying vigilant and strong
16:03in faith, we overcome his attempts to hinder our spiritual growth.
16:10So what we're going to do is number four.
16:12What are some of the enemy's tactics?
16:15We'll be covering six of the most common tactics the enemy uses against us.
16:20Number one, increased temptation.
16:22Yeah, I'm pretty sure everybody's like familiar with this one.
16:26Increased temptation by the enemy is found in the story of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness.
16:33Matthew 4, verses 1 to 11, in this passage, Jesus is led into the wilderness by the Spirit
16:39to be tempted by the devil.
16:42After fasting for 40 days and nights, Jesus is confronted with a series of intense temptation.
16:52The devil tries to tempt Jesus to turn stone into bread, to throw himself down from the
16:57temple and worship Him in exchange for all the kingdoms of the world.
17:02This story shows us how the enemy increased temptation, particularly when Jesus is at
17:08a vulnerable point after fasting for 40 days and nights.
17:12He hasn't eaten and all those things.
17:15Take note, the first thing we talk about was changing the stone into bread.
17:20Despite the intense pressure, Jesus responds to each temptation with Scripture, demonstrating
17:26how to withstand increased temptation through reliance on God's Word and steadfast faith.
17:36Number two, complacency to avoid opposition.
17:40Let's look at Revelation chapter 3, verse 15 to 16.
17:44Revelation 3, 15 to 16, the Amplified Classic.
17:48I know your record of works and what you are doing.
17:51You are neither cold nor hot.
17:53Would that you were cold or hot, so that because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot,
17:59I will spew you out of my mouth.
18:02Now this passage addresses the danger of being complacency, as a church in Laodicea was criticized
18:11for being lukewarm in their faith.
18:14The enemy attack sometimes makes you feel like, you know, I'm not, I don't want to do
18:19anything.
18:20I'll just, I will do something, but I know I need to do something.
18:23At least I'm doing some bits.
18:25That's what being warm is about.
18:27You're not doing the most that you can, giving you the right standard unto the Lord, yeah?
18:33Number three, the lie that we are not good enough for God and stuck going nowhere.
18:39Let's look at Exodus chapter 3, verse 11 to 12.
18:42You want to read that?
18:43Exodus 3, 11 to 12 in the New King James Version.
18:46But Moses said to God, who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the
18:51children of Israel out of Egypt?
18:54So he said, I will certainly be with you.
18:56And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you.
19:00When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.
19:05Wow.
19:06See, as we've just heard, when God called Moses to lead the Israelite out of Egypt,
19:11Moses questioned his own worthiness and capability saying, who am I that I should go to Pharaoh
19:16and bring the Israelite out of Egypt?
19:19God then, what does God do?
19:21God reassured him of his presence and power despite Moses own insecurities.
19:28These shows God's character, right?
19:31Number four, many of you are very familiar with this one, increased demonic oppression.
19:38See, often when a breakthrough is near, we might face uncertainties that make us question
19:44whether, wow, is God hearing our prayer or well, is he ready to answer?
19:50Is he going to answer it?
19:51However, this is just a sign that we are on the verge of something significant, of that
19:56breakthrough to happen, you know, that last push, right?
19:59And we can trust that God is working on our behalf, even when it feels like we are in
20:04the midst of an impossible storm.
20:09The story of Daniel praying and fasting, seeking, understanding about a vision he received is
20:15a good example.
20:16After three weeks of intense prayer, an angel appeared to him.
20:21Let's read from Daniel chapter 10, 12 to 14.
20:24Daniel 10, 12 to 14 in the New King James Version.
20:28Then he said to me, do not fear Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart
20:33to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard.
20:38And I have come because of your words.
20:41But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me 21 days and behold, Michael, one of the
20:47chief princes came to help me for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.
20:54Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days.
21:00Now the vision refers to many days yet to come.
21:04So as we've just heard, the angel shared that he was delayed by a powerful demonic force
21:09called the Prince of Persia Kingdom, which was resisting his mission.
21:15Even though Daniel was so close to receiving a breakthrough in understanding and revelation,
21:19significant spiritual opposition came right before it was about to happen.
21:24This shows how the enemy often tries to hinder us just when we're on the brink of a breakthrough.
21:32Number five, hope I'm not going too quick for you all.
21:35Number five, fear and intimidation.
21:39Fear and intimidation are tactics the enemy uses to unsettle our hope and make us question
21:44our breakthrough, right?
21:46For example, we've seen people who were healed, right?
21:50They were healed and then they come back with, they face a return of symptom after
21:57some time they were healed, right?
22:00And they doubted.
22:02This doesn't mean that the healing wasn't real, rather it means that the enemy is trying
22:06to intimidate them into thinking they've fallen back to where they started.
22:12I call it an illusion because it's not the truth, you've been healed, but you get those
22:17things afterwards where people say to us, oh, you know, I have this symptom.
22:20I don't know what happened.
22:22Did I open it or did I do this?
22:23Did I do that?
22:24But what truly matters is not what the enemy is giving you as an illusion, but what truly
22:29matters is how we decide to respond to this false evidence in our life.
22:34Now the story of Job fits perfectly an example of fear and intimidation by the enemy.
22:42Job 1-2 describes Job's initial prosperity and the subsequent attacks by the enemy.
22:54Now despite this deep suffering, including physical affliction and the loss of his health,
23:00Job's faith in his healing and restoration was tested.
23:03Now the enemy tried to make Job fear that his suffering meant he has lost everything.
23:08We all know the story, right?
23:10But Job's story ultimately showed that the breakthrough of restoration was still on the
23:15horizon.
23:16I mean, he got double portion going from nothing and that's it.
23:20It's called gone.
23:21Fear and intimidation too, you know.
23:23Let's look at Job 42-10.
23:26Job 42-10, New King James Version.
23:29And the Lord restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends.
23:34Indeed, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
23:38Wow.
23:39After Job had prayed for his friend, the Lord restored his fortune and gave him twice
23:43as much as he had before.
23:45Now despite the apparent setbacks and suffering Job faced, his breakthrough came in the end,
23:51demonstrating that initial affliction and doubts were part of the illusion and not the
23:56final outcome.
23:58That is very important to understand.
24:00The story shows that when symptoms or challenges return, they do not negate the reality of
24:07God's works or promises.
24:09It's our response to those challenges, to these challenges that determines our experience
24:16of God's truth and breakthrough.
24:19Number six, desperation.
24:23Desperation is another way the enemy tries to keep us from experiencing our breakthrough.
24:27We might get so desperate to solve our problem, I mean, we've all been there, that we would
24:33try to handle everything on our own or even dictate our solutions to God and say, this
24:38is how it needs to happen, then I know God is there, right?
24:41The desperation can block our ability to fully surrender to Him and trust in His perfect
24:49timing, wisdom, and perfect solution.
24:51I mean, if we take 1 Samuel chapter 13, 8 to 14, for example, we see King Saul's impatient
24:58leadership leads him to offer a burnt sacrifice himself rather than waiting for the prophet
25:04Samuel as God had commanded.
25:07Now Saul's decision to act on his own rather than waiting for God's timing resulted in
25:12his rejection as king.
25:15And then we have in Job chapter 38 verse 2, we read, who is it that obscured my plans
25:22with words without knowledge?
25:24That's what this verse does, it reflects God's response to Job who questioned and tried to
25:31understand God's ways and timing.
25:34So desperation can lead us into this path.
25:38So far today, we've already answered some very common questions in regards to our main
25:43study today, which is navigating the path to breakthrough, overcoming challenges and
25:49embracing God's promises.
25:50So we've covered and we answered who is our Lord, specifically in times of adversity and
25:56attack.
25:57We've covered who is our enemy.
25:59We've covered what is the enemy's reaction when we are close to God.
26:03We've just covered what are some of the enemy's tactics.
26:06We covered six of the most common tactics.
26:09And our final question we're going to be covering right now is what are some practical points
26:14we can take from today's study?
26:18I just realized the green thing of the tea, just transparent it.
26:23Anyways, so number five, what are some practical points we can take from today's study?
26:29Right.
26:30So we have an incredible resource at our disposal, right?
26:34And I've always, I've been saying that, not always, I've been saying that for a couple
26:37of weeks now.
26:39We have an open book of solutions.
26:41Now God is not our enemy, but our ally, ready to help us if we allow him, if we don't allow
26:47ourselves to be deceived by the enemy, right?
26:51Here are some practical tips and prayers to support us when the enemy comes at us with
26:56its lies, right?
26:58Number one, when we're going through a storm and waiting for our breakthrough, remember
27:02that God prepares a table for us even in the presence of our enemies.
27:07Sounds simple, but that the reality, the blessing that God has put in our life, knowing that
27:12we are not alone in our struggles and boldly, boldly declare, because you're trusting,
27:18boldly declare, declaring this truth can bring us peace and strengthen our faith during our
27:24challenging times.
27:25Do you want to read the verse?
27:27Psalm 23 verse five, New King James Version.
27:29You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
27:33You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.
27:36Amen.
27:37As we've just heard, this verse emphasizes that even in the midst of adversity, God provides
27:43and blesses us, reassuring us of his presence and care.
27:48Number two, we must pray for guidance during times of temptation, knowing that God's strengths
27:54and character are far greater than any challenge we face.
27:58With his powerful guidance, we can confidently overcome difficulties and remain steadfast
28:04in our faith.
28:05It's very important.
28:06You want to read 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verse 13.
28:101 Corinthians 10, 13, New King James Version.
28:13No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to men.
28:18But God is faithful.
28:19Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able?
28:24But with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear
28:29it.
28:30Wow.
28:31But with temptation will also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.
28:36This verse reassures that God is faithful and powerful.
28:39Read.
28:40Yes.
28:41I'm trying to cover everything.
28:46That God is faithful and powerful more than enough to guide us through temptation and
28:50challenges, providing a way for us to overcome them.
28:55We have a way.
28:56We always have a way with God.
28:58If there's no way, he makes way for us.
29:01Number three, embrace your authority and trust that God's promises are always true
29:07and fulfilled.
29:08We have been given power over the enemy's lies, and it's important to use its authority
29:13to affirm and align with what God has desired for us.
29:19You want to read it?
29:202 Corinthians 1, verse 20, Amplified Classic.
29:23For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their yes answer in him, Christ.
29:30For this reason, we also utter the amen, so be it, to God through him, in his person
29:36and by his agency, to the glory of God.
29:40Wow.
29:41This verse highlights that God's promises are always fulfilled in Christ, and it encourages
29:46to stand firm in this truth, because this is the truth that you can actually speak out
29:53with authority.
29:54Right?
29:55Luke 10, verse 19, Luke 10, verse 19, in the New King James Version, Behold, I give you
30:02the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing
30:08shall by any means hurt you.
30:10Now this verse underscore the authority given to us to overcome the enemy and the enemy's
30:15lies and affirm what God desires for our life, to use that authority, right?
30:22Number four, we must stand firm against the enemy's lies and they will retreat, hold
30:29fast to God's word and rest assured that having done all you can, the victory is already yours.
30:37James 4, verse 7, New King James Version, Therefore submit to God, resist the devil,
30:42and he will flee from you.
30:45Now this verse encourages to resist the enemy with the promise that he will flee, it will
30:50flee from us.
30:53Read the next one.
30:54Ephesians 6, verse 13, New King James Version, Therefore take up the whole armor of God that
31:00you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand.
31:06Wow.
31:07Now this verse highlights the importance of standing firm in God's word and reassures
31:10us that having done all we can, we can confidently rely on God's victory.
31:16Now finally, while challenges are part of the journey to breakthrough, there are also
31:22opportunities for growth and deeper faith in God's promises.
31:26Now allow me to finish with 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 13 from the AMPC, 17, sorry.
31:33So 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 17, For our light momentary affliction, this slight
31:43distress of the passing hour, is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing
31:49and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory beyond all measure, excessively surpassing
31:58all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never
32:07decease.
32:08Amen.
32:09Mouthful.
32:10It is mouthful.
32:11So God is leading the path to breakthrough, overcoming challenges and embracing God's
32:17promises.
32:18Now if you are listening for the first time, you've never heard about Christianity in this
32:23manner, you're probably wondering, wow, what is that?
32:26And you probably just had an experience with God himself, because yes, the Christian God
32:31is not just some picture, it's not just some statue, it's not just some cross on a building.
32:37The Christian God is very much alive.
32:39He died on that cross, but he came back to life.
32:43And the word of God is very clear.
32:45It says in 1 John 5, 4 to 5, for whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
32:50And this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith.
32:55I want to ask you, where are you putting your faith?
32:57Is it in money?
32:59Is it in vain things, collection of things in your life?
33:03Is it in women?
33:04Is it in men?
33:05Is it in your guru?
33:06Is it in your whatever it is?
33:08You're putting your faith in something and you wouldn't be here just by accident.
33:12This is a divine appointment.
33:15This is a divine appointment.
33:16And God's word goes on to say in John 3, 16, 17, it's very clear, and he says, for God
33:21so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.
33:24That's talking about Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have
33:29everlasting life.
33:31But God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through
33:36him might be saved.
33:39So what do I have to do?
33:401 John 1, verse 9 tells us the very first thing that we need to acknowledge is if we
33:45confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
33:51all unrighteousness.
33:52Oh, that's the dirty word that nobody wants to talk about right now in the world.
33:56But guess what?
33:57Sin, sin, sin, sin, wake up.
33:59Sin is real.
34:01Sin took Jesus to that cross so that we will not have to pay for it.
34:06Sin in its most simplistic definition is when we try to live our lives without God.
34:11And the word of God is very clear, says that the creator himself, Father God, our Lord
34:17created the whole universe.
34:19And the only creation he created in his image, in his image is us, humanity, because he loves
34:25us that much.
34:26Not only did he create us in his image, but he gave us authority of all the things of
34:30the earth.
34:31That is what this word goes on to say.
34:33But you can't hold any authority if you're not under his covering, if you're not, if
34:38you're not submitted to God as your Lord and savior, as your father, as your God.
34:44If you've got other things on the side, it doesn't work like that.
34:48So what do you need to do?
34:50Well, look at the screen.
34:51It's very simple.
34:52It is very simple.
34:54Cost Jesus very dearly, but it's very simple.
34:57It's a simple and free gift of grace.
35:01It's God's grace.
35:02Romans 10, 9 to 10 goes on to say that if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus,
35:07and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
35:11So come to him as you are, and he will save you.
35:15Just speak it out like I'm speaking to you right now.
35:19But with a heart man believeth unto righteousness and with a mouth confession is made unto salvation.
35:25That means the matter of the heart is the heart of the matter.
35:28Or the other way, the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart.
35:30It all comes down to your heart.
35:32So what you believe.
35:33So right now, are you desperate?
35:35Do you need a breakthrough?
35:37Then you need to call out to Jesus right now.
35:39You need to make Jesus your Lord and savior, declare it with your mouth.
35:43Stop that car if you're driving right now.
35:44If you're in the workplace, who cares?
35:46Go to the bathroom, go wherever.
35:48Go and speak to Jesus right now.
35:51He's very real.
35:52He's waiting for you.
35:53This is your opportunity and he will save you.
35:56It's guaranteed.
35:57Just go to him as you are.
35:59But it doesn't end there.
36:00Titus 3 verse 5, Ephesians 2 verse 8, Acts 1 verse 8, and many more.
36:05Go on to say then, then he saves you.
36:07So by faith, you exercise faith in the gift of grace, as you can see on the screen.
36:16By grace through faith, it's grace is God's part, faith is your part.
36:21Not that you're buying salvation, but you still need to exercise faith to accept that
36:27gift of grace, to believe.
36:30The gift of God washing away our sins and giving us the new joy of the indwelling Holy
36:35Spirit.
36:36And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses
36:40telling people about me everywhere.
36:43What does that mean, George?
36:45Well, that means that after you give your life to Jesus, and we're going to be praying
36:51together right now, we're going to have the privilege to pray with you together.
36:56Then you invite Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of God to come and live inside of you.
37:00No longer will he just come into a building, into a church, synagogue, temple, wherever
37:05you go.
37:06No, he will come and live inside of you.
37:08And the Word of God says that you become his indwelling place, the temple of the Holy Spirit.
37:16You invite him, he comes bearing gifts.
37:18He comes with power, spiritual power and gifts that he will equip you and he will train you
37:24and he will comfort you and he will correct you and he will guide you through your life
37:28journey so that your life will bring glory to Christ Jesus.
37:32So that your life and the light of God will shine in your life and through your life and
37:38for him throughout the world.
37:41Are you ready?
37:42Let's pray together.
37:43Do you want to pray?
37:44You pray.
37:46All right, Lord, I thank you right now for this privilege, for my brother and my sister
37:50that have cried out to you.
37:53And right now, as your Word shows us, Lord, we cry out to you, Holy Spirit, and we say,
37:57fill us afresh with a baptism of Holy Spirit and fire.
38:03Come Lord, set us alight for you so that the world will come and watch us burn for you.
38:09Revival fire.
38:10When I mean burn, I mean it's a revival fire.
38:13It's a spiritual empowerment.
38:16God wants to empower you.
38:17Lord, we say yes.
38:18We say more of you.
38:21We surrender to you.
38:23Use our lives for your glory, Lord.
38:26In the mighty name of Jesus.
38:28Amen and amen.
38:31Glory to God.
38:32Hallelujah.
38:33All right.
38:34I encourage you, please, if you've made that decision today, get connected with a Bible
38:42teaching Holy Spirit filled church.
38:44You need to be connected with the body of Christ.
38:48It'll give you a place to learn, to grow, to serve, to be served.
38:53It's an encouraging family of God, the kingdom of God's family.
38:58And he created us to be together so that we can overcome things in this world.
39:02Remember, we are in a fallen world right now.
39:05And until God comes back, we are living in a world where the enemy is roaming around,
39:10deceiving people.
39:11We need each other to hold each other, not just accountable, but to hold each other up,
39:16to strengthen each other.
39:17To edify each other.
39:19Exactly.
39:20Through this journey.
39:21So if you don't have a place for whatever reason and you need some help, send us a message.
39:25Send us an email.
39:26We can do our best to find wherever you are, a Bible teaching Holy Spirit filled church
39:32that you can go and attend.
39:33If you can't attend in person for some reason, there are some countries that are being very
39:38anti-Christian, very persecuting Christianity a lot.
39:43You can connect with an online community.
39:47It's best to go in person, but you can connect with an online community.
39:50Amen?
39:51Amen.
39:52All right.
39:53This brings us to our second part of the program, which is called The Collective, where we spend
39:56time with those that are watching, those that are listening.
39:58We pray, prophesy, whatever Holy Spirit leads us to do.
40:02If you have specific prayer requests, please write them down in the Facebook live chat
40:06section already so that we can get onto them.
40:09If this was your first time, if you gave your life to Jesus, or you're just watching it
40:13for the first time, drop us a line.
40:15Let us know who you are, your name, where you're watching from.
40:18It's always encouraging.
40:19It's always exciting for us to know who's watching, who is being blessed, and share.
40:26Please share these messages with those you know need to hear this.
40:30Amen?
40:31Amen.
40:32All right.
40:33The Collective!
