00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel. In this video, I will explain the ending of I Believe in

00:04Santa, so, let's begin.

00:06I Believe in Santa is a 2022 comedy romance film directed by Alex Ranarivolo. Spoilers

00:12for the film's ending follow.

00:14I Believe in Santa is Netflix's newest rom-com Christmas release. The story revolves around

00:20how a couple bicker over the belief of whether Santa exists or not.

00:23Lisa is a writer with very strong opinions. She is someone who does not prefer Christmas

00:29at all. For her, Christmas is a fool's tale. In her opinion, the Fourth of July is the

00:35best holiday and not Christmas.

00:38She is a single mother, who only keeps up with the tale of a Santa Claus for the sake

00:41of her daughter, Ella. Tom is a lawyer by profession but holds Christmas very close

00:46to his heart.

00:48Upon reading an article, written by Lisa, though he remains unaware that she's the

00:52author, Tom firmly believes that Christmas is one of the best holidays to exist.

00:57On the eve of the Fourth of July, Lisa takes Ella to a fair for a dance event. In this

01:02fair, Ella is momentarily lost. This is where Tom stumbles upon Ella and eventually gets

01:08introduced to Lisa. The romance between Tom and Lisa begins to brew from here.

01:13Amidst this, Tom's friend Asin and Lisa's friend Sharon become good friends. The ship

01:19sails smoothly for both Tom and Lisa until Christmas arrives.

01:23Lisa condemns Christmas. She is anything but in awe of the holiday season and for her,

01:28the holiday is much of a waste. Twenty-five days prior to Christmas, Lisa and Sharon visit

01:34Tom's apartment for dinner with him and Asin. To Lisa's horror, Tom's apartment is glamorously

01:40decorated with Christmas ornaments.

01:42She is taken aback when she learns that Tom is a person who enjoys Christmas from the

01:46core of his heart. It is something he wholeheartedly enjoys and celebrates. During a heartfelt

01:52conversation car ride back home, Sharon encourages Lisa to give Tom a chance and indulge in the

01:57Christmas fever. Lisa accepts.

02:01The next few days pass by with Lisa participating in different Christmas activities for the

02:05sake of Tom and their relationship. However, things go downhill when Lisa discovers Tom's

02:10strong belief in the existence of Santa Claus. The two bicker about the controversial opinions

02:16on the topic to the extent that Lisa calls for a breakup. Tom slowly mellows down his

02:20Christmas spirit while Lisa is made to write an article on the theme of Christmas. Lisa

02:25gets to have a conversation with Asin in order to gain a clearer perspective regarding Tom's

02:29beliefs. To this, Asin helps Lisa comprehend that some matters are easier to just put up

02:35with if one simply wishes to.

02:37In another subplot, Tom volunteers to help build a sleigh for Ella for a sleigh race.

02:42On the day of the sleigh race, Tom and Lisa meet again. Along with Ella, they too take

02:47part in the competition and ultimately win. In the course of the celebration, Lisa, Tom,

02:53Asin, Sharon, and Ella gather at Lisa's home. This is where Lisa approaches Tom in

02:58the hope to reconcile. In response, Tom proposes marriage with a ring. This is when Ella reveals

03:05that she had asked Santa for Tom and Lisa to get married, and her gift was finally given.

03:10Are Lisa and Tom still together?

03:13Lisa and Tom have a picture-perfect relationship until Tom's obsession with Christmas is revealed.

03:19Lisa is a practical and logical individual who is strongly against the idea of Christmas.

03:24There comes a point in the relationship where Lisa refuses to adjust any further for the

03:28sake of Tom and their relationship. Though after a brief conversation with Asin, Tom's

03:33friend, Lisa realizes that her relationship with Tom is more than just one opinionated

03:37conflict. Eventually, Lisa and Tom confess their love for each other and decide to tie

03:42the knot.

03:44Does Lisa believe in Santa?

03:46From the start of the I Believe in Santa, Lisa is strongly against the idea of Christmas.

03:51She shares a childhood memory of Christmas with Tom, which made her lose her Christmas

03:55spirit. By the end of the movie, Lisa adjusts to the idea of Christmas for Tom. For her,

04:01the relationship becomes more important than a conflict of opinions, however, she continues

04:06to disbelieve in the existence of Santa.

04:09Does Tom still have his Christmas spirit?

04:11Tom is quite obsessed with the idea of Christmas. A man of logic loses every ounce of it when

04:16it comes to the holiday season. As the movie proceeds, it is seen that Tom thrives upon

04:22the Christmas spirit. After the argument and separation from Lisa, Tom's Christmas spirit

04:27begins to fade. His enthusiasm shimmers down as loneliness dawns upon him. He lifts up

04:33his spirits once again when Ella asks him to help build a sleigh for a sleigh race.

04:37Towards the end of the I Believe in Santa, Tom regains his enthusiasm for Christmas.

04:42And once he reconciles with Lisa, Tom goes back to being himself again.
