Silent crime: What crimes go unreported and why?
Transcript
00:00Antisocial behaviour, a lot of that, you know, and threatening behaviour and things like that,
00:10that's all I can say. It seems to be something which the councils seem to have a difficulty
00:16in handling, yeah, and especially with drug abuse as well. I mean, you only have to go down here to
00:26see a lot of that, you know. What about shoplifting? Well, yeah, I mean, I've seen it,
00:32shoplifting, where they've gone in and really gone in, you know, violently and just pushed
00:36the staff out of the way. It's totally wrong. Prices are that cheap in Poundland anyway,
00:42what do they need to go in and rob it for? They're still at a decent price, aren't they?
00:48They're not much to buy the stuff as it is in there, but it's like, I don't know, it's like
00:54they do it because they want, it's like somebody in them where they've got to have a go at taking
01:00it and see if they can get away with it, haven't they? Do you think it's being tackled?
01:07They try. They do try, don't they? You don't know what you're going to get for trying, do you?
01:14You don't, do you? That's why you ignore it seems first. Yeah. You think, why get involved?
