We are made of sea’.

00:00It's a very different Salone from 10 years ago. This morning a citizen from Genoa sent me what was on the newspaper of our city 10 years ago, when it was said in 2014 that the Salone was in recession, who knows how it will be.
00:21I don't know if the contributions have arrived. Two years ago people were protesting in front of the Salone, saying that it was for the rich. Someone was saying that even the rich cry.
00:32One day when I came back from the United States, I saw the protests on the streets with the boats, and I said, it's nice that they talk about boats.
00:39Today we can say it with joy, with pride, with passion and with vision. I really liked the three words I said, and I liked that everyone else repeated them, because they are messages that we want to send.
00:58Pride, passion, vision. Passion for the sea, pride to have been able to reach the top as an industry, as entrepreneurs, as a city, as a Salone, as Liguria, as everything.
01:10Vision, because we look to see the future. Like sailors on the wave, they know how to manage it, they know that there will be high waves, low waves, etc. They have to get used to everything that will be in the future.
01:22And this technology, the way of doing business and the entrepreneurial capacity always foresees the future with vision and knows how to align and manage it, modulating all things. The success of these years is precisely the success of this way of thinking.
