00:00Good evening, Ricky Charlesworth here from Stadium MK after a pretty entertaining afternoon
00:06for Doncaster Rovers. Got there in the end, didn't they? Drew 1-1 here against MK Dons.
00:12But yeah, I mean, that doesn't really tell the whole story of the game. Both sides finishing
00:17with 10 men. As we said in the report, kind of a game that overshadowed really by some
00:22of the refereeing calls. That was the first point of matter really that when we were chatting
00:29to Grant McCann afterwards that he was kind of asked about and yeah, safe to say he didn't
00:34agree with the red card. Not even 10 minutes on the clock for Harry Clifton before he was
00:41sent his marching orders. The first one I think, watching it live, by the way I've not
00:45been able to see any replays of it, but Grant McCann has and he says that fair enough, the
00:51first incident was a yellow. But he strongly disagrees that the second one was a yellow
00:57and I think the timing of it as well, you know, pretty much, I think it was two or three
01:01minutes after his initial booking. So, you know, within 10 minutes for him to have got
01:06two yellows is, you know, like I say, I've not seen the replay of the second one, but
01:10by all accounts, it's an extremely harsh one and then, you know, does that play in the
01:14referee's mind and, you know, he kind of levels it up, doesn't he? After halftime, Harrison,
01:19the guy who opened the scoring for MK Dons in the first half, that was one that I remember
01:25watching that live and I think it was Bailey who he thought stood up, so that was probably
01:29justified but MK Dons will probably say, well, he had to even it up after the first decision.
01:34But, yeah, it's a shame to be talking about the referees because, or the referees, sorry,
01:38because, you know, at the bones of what was going to be a really good contest today, you
01:42know, two sides that play good football, different styles but both entertaining on the day when
01:47it works. So, yeah, maybe fair but I think 11 against 11, it would have been really interesting
01:54to see how Rovers would have, you know, taken it to MK Dons, you know, they have a lot of
01:59possession, they have a lot of possession anyway but especially when it's 11 against
02:0210, you know, they boss the ball but Rovers were still a threat at certain times during
02:08that period but, you know, they got there in the end, Tom Anderson with a bullet header
02:12from Joe Sparrow's corner and I think that was the least they deserved really today.
02:16Yeah, just one of those games where, I think we've said it a few times this season, you
02:21go back to last year, they'd have probably lost that game by two, maybe three goals,
02:26you know, they probably would have wilted whereas this team, this class of 24-25's got
02:31something about them, plenty of character and I think that showed in the end and, you
02:37know, arguably had chances, certainly had better chances to win it than the hosts. So,
02:41yeah, finishes one all, plenty on the website, on the free press, got the report, got the
02:45ratings, got the reaction from Grant McCann as well also, get an update on Luke Mullen
02:50who went off with a, well he took a few whacks didn't he, towards the end. So, yeah, check
02:55it all out and I'll speak to you after the Tuesday game which is, of course, back at
03:00home for an extended period, they're back at home on Tuesday, taking on Man Utd's under
03:0621's in the trophy, obviously a Tommy Rowe reunion on the cards there. So, yeah, cheers
03:10for joining and, yeah, I'll speak to you very soon.
