Jo Phillips along with State of Mind is organising a walk from Headingley to Old Trafford.
Transcript
00:00I'm Jo Phillips, I work for this charity State of Mind Sport. I'm a former Rugby League player and a former Rugby League coach.
00:08We're doing a charity walk. 11th October to the 12th we're walking from Leeds Head and Leeds Stadium to Old Trafford.
00:18Just in time for the Grand Final hopefully. We're trying to do within under 20,000.
00:23It's a team of 25 of us raising funds for Leeds Hospitals charity which is helping with the build of the Rob Burrow Motor Neuro Disease Centre which will be located in Leeds.
00:37Q. And what inspired you to do the walk?
00:39Rob Burrow really. You see what he endured with his diagnosis.
00:47The friendship between him and Kev, for me obviously we were aware of the friendship they had on the pitch.
00:53But how it translated off the pitch and in life we all encounter adversity and to see Rob having Kev by his side and that iconic picture of Kev carrying him over the line, it motivated me.
01:07We all go through stuff and sometimes we just need people to walk beside us in that journey.
01:12Q. And how can people help you?
01:15People can help us if they go on to Just Give In and type in State of Mind Sport Walk for Rob Burrow and they can donate to that.
01:23We've also got a raffle to win a family portrait, photoshoot at Leeds Venture Studios, kindly donated.
01:30£8 a ticket, winner gets a gift worth £245.
01:36So they can help us by that.
01:37If anybody wants to donate, we're going to have to place your bookings when we're doing the walk.
01:43If people want to be at various points, that'll be going on our social media platform soon.
01:48So come and greet us and drop a bit of money in the pot, that'd be ideal. Thank you.
