00:00All right, so you win a Super Bowl at Seattle Golden, and you go to the Lions, and that's
00:08where really I feel like your best statistics were, were in Detroit.
00:11And this was something I've always seen on the internet, and I just want you to kind
00:14of put this into perspective, is that Matthew Safford is maybe one of the most underrated
00:19quarterbacks of all time for what he is able to bring to that position.
00:24Can you just talk to that being a wide receiver and a guy that that caught balls for Matthew
00:28Safford?
00:29Yeah, without Matthew Stafford, I'm not sure I would have been known as the acting.
00:33I mean, he was phenomenal.
00:36And, you know, the good thing about being down a lot is that you knew you had to throw
00:41the ball a lot.
00:42Good.
00:43Now, obviously, bad thing.
00:44You didn't Yeah, when as much as we wanted to, but I knew that I was gonna be fed and
00:49Matthew Stafford's arm is just is so strong.
00:52Like he makes hard throws look easy.
00:56His arm strength is so strong that it doesn't look like he's trying to throw it hard.
01:00It's just kind of like, but there's like, it's right there on you.
01:05And anytime I came out my break, the ball was there.
01:08And so for receiver, it's so important for me to get the ball as soon as I'm coming out
01:14my break, because that's less time for the DB to be crashing down on me.
01:18And like, what made me so good is that when I come out my break, my brain would take a
01:23picture of like where the defense was and where I thought the defense is going to be
01:28once I caught it.
01:30And based on what their technique and stuff, so I get the ball early and I'd have a time
01:34to get the ball, make a quick move and then get up field and they'd only gained maybe
01:39a yard on me.
01:40And so that was so important for creating angles at the wide receiver position and getting
01:45yards at the catch and yards at the first touch that man, it Stafford made me the at
01:51king because he was so strong, so smart, his, where he placed the ball was incredible.
01:57There was times where I felt like I was completely covered.
02:00I'm like, mom, dad, I'm covered.
02:02And he would throw the ball like right here, where the DB couldn't get over the top.
02:06And I would just fingertip catch it, DB slides off and I run for 30 yards as a man.
02:11That's what made him next level.
