00:00Last Sunday night at the WWF Royal Rumble, Scott Bam Bam Bigelow was involved
00:05in an unfortunate incident with football legend Lawrence Taylor.
00:10That unfortunate incident resulted in a 30 day suspension for Mr. Bigelow.
00:14And as an additional penalty, Bam Bam was forced to make a public apology to Mr.
00:19Taylor last week on Monday Night Raw.
00:22Technical difficulties, however, prevented that apology from airing.
00:25But tonight, Bam Bam Bigelow will apologize to Lawrence Taylor on
00:30Monday Night Raw.

00:53Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw.
00:57I'm Vince McMahon along with Shawn Michaels.
00:58And tonight, the Tag Team Championship once again up for
01:01a grab three turn title matchup.
01:03We'll see the challengers, the one, two, three kid, and
01:05Bob Clark Plugholly, who's had a week to prepare now, against the Smoking Guns.
01:10The competition in that matchup,
01:12likely to be considerably better than the recent Super Bowl competition.
01:15However, speaking of competitiveness, how about this?
01:18One on one, the mini two man WWF Royal Rumble tonight.
01:24It's huge, Mabel against King Kong Bundy.
01:27And if anybody knows anything about Royal Rumbles, it's you, Shawn Michaels.
01:30Hey, that's the truth, big man.
01:32Nobody knows Rumbles like the Heartbreak Kid.
01:34And I wanna share a little story with you.
01:36As I was coming out of the 1995 Royal Rumble, with Bam Anderson on my arm.
01:41A fan looked at me and he said, Shawn Michaels,
01:44now that you've won the WWF Royal Rumble, where are you going?
01:49I looked him in the eye and I said, Jack,
01:51this ain't no fantasy, the Heartbreak Kid's going to WrestleMania.
01:55Well, look where Mabel's going.
02:04Yeah, Mabel is heading into the ring, ladies and gentlemen.
02:07What a matchup this is gonna be.
02:09Let's go through the rules as Mabel now brings his capacity craft to its feet.
02:14A reminder, in a Royal Rumble, and
02:16normally there are 30 individuals, not two.
02:19In a Royal Rumble, the process of elimination is to be thrown over the top rope.
02:24And then both feet- Both feet.
02:26I got it, Shawn Michaels, not one- Both feet.
02:29Both feet have to hit the floor.
02:32That will declare the remaining individual in the ring a winner.
02:35And many thought, quite frankly, Shawn Michaels, that either Mabel or
02:39Bundy, who was my pick, would win the 1995 WWF Royal Rumble.
02:46And indeed, you proved us all wrong.
02:47Yes, I did, and if you think I'm gonna gloat, baby, you are right.
02:51Everybody said it was a game of size.
02:54I got news for you.
02:56Guys like me, Andre Agassi, we're on a winning streak.
02:59We may not look like everybody else.
03:01We got the earrings, we got the chicks, but one thing's for sure, we are winners.
03:06And take a look, if you look, at this huge monster King Kong Bundy,
03:11who was involved, if you will recall, in the Undertaker match-up,
03:15after the match was officially over, actually.
03:18And Ted DiBiase and his corporation are now the possessor.
03:23They have repossessed, if you would, the urn of the Undertaker.
03:28That's right, and you know something?
03:29I hear Bundy's using that little incident as an excuse,
03:32like that threw off his timing in the Royal Rumble.
03:35He's gonna make any excuse because he was so big and came up so, so short.
03:41A little consultation now by the million dollar man, Ted DiBiase.
03:43That's what it's all about, yes, his million dollar corporation,
03:46ladies and gentlemen.
03:49Look at the size of these two monsters.
03:53And you're calling this a mini?
03:55No, I'm not.
03:57Good point.
03:58Bundy very close to the 500-pound mark at 444 pounds,
04:03and Mabel over the 500-pound mark.
04:06Well, once again, I have to say, this is not necessarily a game of size.
04:10It's a game of brains, in which case, Vin Man, we could be here all night.
04:16What do you mean by that?
04:17Well, big bodies- And wait a minute,
04:20let's listen to the million dollar man.
04:21The only way- Speaking of pea brains.
04:23There's a winner in this match.
04:26Wait a minute, he's gonna tell us the rules now?
04:29I think we understand the rules for sure.
04:31I hope you understand the rules.
04:33As a matter of fact, tomorrow night, Shawn Michaels, when you and
04:37Rowdy Roddy Piper get together for an interview, it's Encore Plus tomorrow night.

04:45An encore of the recent WWF Royal Rumble hosted by the Rowdy one,
04:51Rowdy Roddy Piper.
04:52All right, bell rings, here we go.
04:53And of course, highlighted by the winner of the 1995 Royal Rumble,
04:56The Heartbreak Kid.
04:58And Mabel locking in with King Kong Bundy.
05:00Remember, no holds barred here, and Mabel trying to get King Kong Bundy right over.
05:05See, that's all wrong already, all wrong.
05:07Wear him down first.
05:09You've got to wear him down.
05:11Bundy doing just that now.
05:13King Kong Bundy with those mammoth forearms.
05:16Now trying to get Mabel over, and Mabel hanging on.
05:21But I must say, no one was hanging on like Shawn Michaels.
05:25I have never, ever seen a feat of athleticism.
05:29Giving you credit where it's due.
05:30Or for that matter, Lady Luck riding on someone's shoulders,
05:34as Lady Luck was riding on yours.
05:37And now there's a lady riding on my arm by the name of Pam Anderson.
05:42Yes, and I'm not saying-
05:43I know it's killing you to admit it.
05:44I can't believe I heard you say it, but you did say it.
05:47What an extraordinary feat of athleticism by the Heartbreak Kid.
05:51I've said it time and time again.
05:53Yes, indeed.
05:54Nonetheless, the British Bulldog, ladies and gentlemen,
05:58was hoodwinked by Shawn Michaels.
05:59More on that later, as now Bundy just can't quite seem to get huge Mabel all the way over and out.
06:07Well, as things with guys this size,
06:08obviously you've got to get more than just half the weight going one direction.
06:12Look at that.
06:13If you can get three quarters, then you know the rest of the goo's going with it.
06:17But that three quarters is hard to do when they're this size.
06:19And look at Bundy now.
06:21Bundy, the aggressor.
06:23And somehow or another, he has to get more of Mabel's upper body over that top rope
06:29to have a leverage factor going for him, and he can't quite do it yet.
06:31That's right. These two guys, too, got big, huge craniums that come out.
06:35Through the buckle, and Bundy moves in.
06:37He's avalanching Mabel.
06:41And Bundy appears to have an advantage now.
06:43You will recall, during the Royal Rumble matchup itself,
06:47it was Mabel who threw Bundy over,
06:49although Mabel did have some assistance from some of his friends.
06:53And it was every man for himself.
06:55That's right, and everybody wanted to know how the Heartbreak Kid was gonna contend with these big guys.
06:59I know what I'm doing.
07:00These big morons contend with themselves.
07:03That's exactly what they're doing now, headbutt by Mabel.
07:06Mabel, look at that maneuver.
07:08Across the back.
07:10Mabel connecting.
07:12And look out.
07:13Here it comes, 500 plus pounds.

07:16Look at these two.
07:18You think either one of these two men could have lasted around 45 minutes like the Heartbreak Kid?

07:51They're trying to get Mabel over the top rope, but they can't do it.

08:23Here is your winner, King Kong.
08:25Speaking of a shame, I must say that the WWF was ashamed recently of the actions of Bam Bam Bigelow.
08:31And Mr. Bigelow, as we promised, is standing by to issue an apology to Lawrence Taylor and to his family.
08:38So with that in mind, let's take you now, ladies and gentlemen, to Bam Bam Bigelow.
08:42Mr. Bigelow, thank you very much for joining us.
08:43Before we hear your apology, let's take you back to the Royal Rumble and talk about the match itself, if we may, for a moment.
08:49I mean, there you were losing to the 1-2-3 kid.
08:55That had to be the most embarrassing moment in your whole career, was it not?
09:01You know, you really know how to stick a guy in a ring.
09:03No, but I mean, it had to be embarrassing.
09:05It was the kid's greatest day of his life.
09:07Every dog has its day.
09:09I will give him to that.
09:10He beat Bam Bam Bigelow.
09:11All right, fine.
09:12From their actions in the match, it required you to go to the hospital later on.
09:16You took 14 stitches in your upper lip.
09:18You were obviously disoriented after the match was over.
09:21Your manager was not there.
09:23Your tag team partner was not there.
09:25You were left alone.
09:26You were left alone, embarrassed in the ring.
09:29You got out of the ring.
09:30The fans started making fun of you, didn't they?
09:33Well, you know, when you get left alone and all your homies and everybody leaves you behind, you feel dissed.
09:38Mr. Bigelow, they were making fun of you, weren't they?
09:40The people were making fun.
09:41The people were having a blast.
09:43Exactly. Everybody in the audience, as far as I can see, they were just having a good old time, in my experience.
09:47And you know what?
09:48They pay their money, and they're entitled to laugh.
09:50They're entitled to jeer.
09:52They can do anything they want.
09:53And you should not take exception to it, which leads me to Lawrence Taylor.
09:57Why did you take exception to Lawrence Taylor when Lawrence was simply doing no more, no less than any other fan around ringside?
10:05Well, you know, it was my opinion that he was just having a little bit more of a better time than everybody else.
10:11No, it's because he's a professional athlete, isn't it?
10:14And you felt that he disrespected you.
10:16That's what you said before the broadcast, is it not?
10:18Yes, that's right.
10:19In what way do you feel Lawrence Taylor disrespected you?
10:23You know, any athlete that's the caliber of Lawrence Taylor and that's the caliber of Bam Bam, you put them on the same level.
10:31At least I would as a man.
10:32I would show pride.
10:34I would show admiration to my fellow man, my fellow athlete.
10:37But no, Lawrence Taylor had to put me at a level that was below his.
10:41How did he do that?
10:42Well, you know, he smiled.
10:44He's laughing, having a good old time, puts his hand up.
10:47Anybody that goes to shake another man's hand, you shake his hand.
10:51You don't laugh in his face.
10:53So as a result of that, then that would be the justification to shove Lawrence Taylor on a concrete floor?
11:01Is that the justification?
11:03You know, I came out here last week to make an apology.
11:07I all, out of sincerity of my heart, I was gonna make that apology.
11:11And it didn't feel right then.
11:13And it don't feel right now, McMahon.
11:15I'm not making no apologies for what I did to Lawrence Taylor.
11:19If I shoved him, I should have shoved him harder.
11:21Wait a minute.
11:22You were suspended for 30 days.
11:23Yeah, I was suspended for 30 days.
11:25I gotta remind you that just about, just not everybody, but just about everybody in the WWF fraternity agreed with.
11:30Listen, let me tell you something.
11:31I don't care about the 30 day suspension.
11:33And I don't care what happens from now and then.
11:36You listen to me and you listen good.
11:38And you, LT, if you're out there, I want you to open up your ears too.
11:42Because I got something to say to you.
11:44Now, you want to put dignity and pride on the line?

12:08I must say that Bam Bam Bigelow's challenge has a number of WWF officials scrambling at this moment.

12:16I got a little bit of a different scenario for you there, McMahon.

12:20Let's say LT is in the biggest game of his life.

12:27The team scores.
12:28Costs the team the game.
12:31Off the field comes LT.
12:33And then there, Bam Bam Bigelow, who's been invited there, the 50 yard line, to be there to watch the game,
12:38walks up to LT, laughing and smiling, putting his hand out.
12:41What do you think LT's reaction is going to be?
12:43That's all I'm saying.
12:44Can you understand maybe the heat of the moment, the passion of the game?
12:48To a certain extent, I can understand the passion of the game you're making reference to, Shawn Michaels.
12:52But hey, listen.
12:53I think both you and Bam Bam are just trying to distort the truth here.
12:57I mean, Lawrence Taylor is a gentleman.
12:59Lawrence Taylor is one of the greatest athletes in the history of professional sports.
13:04Lawrence Taylor, I'm certain, meant absolutely nothing but the best for Bam Bam Bigelow.
13:09If anything, I think LT was attempting to show compassion for what happened to Bam Bam Bigelow.
13:16In no way is it Lawrence Taylor's style to put anyone down.
13:20That's just not his style.
13:21He never got caught up in the game.
13:23Come on, you never see him.
13:24Of course he got caught up in the game.
13:25He played on emotion.
13:26Come on, but what does he think this is?
13:27We're out there having fun.
13:29This is ballet.
13:30We take our sport just as serious as he took his.
13:32And he's gotta understand that.
13:34I'm sure he does, indeed.
13:35I'm sure he has great respect for all these superstars.

14:55of the seven-foot WWF champion Diesel.

16:03that you weren't going to Disneyland or Disney World
16:06after winning the Royal Rumble.
16:08A little bit later on, joining us,
16:10it's gonna be, well, an individual
16:13from the victorious San Francisco 49ers,
16:17and I don't believe that he's going to Disneyland either.
16:20I would venture to say on April 2nd,
16:23nobody's gonna be at Disneyland.
16:25All eyes are gonna be at WrestleMania
16:26because the one thing that's guaranteed
16:29is that the Heartbreak Kid is there.
16:30That's all we know.

17:20Arnz Taylor would have been proud of that one.
17:22LT wouldn't have the guts to get up there.

18:17Let's talk about the Royal Rumble,
18:19Big Daddy Cool against the Hitman Fred Hart.
18:21A tremendous seesaw battle all the way through this thing.
18:26Both individuals, I think you'll have to grant,
18:28Shawn Michaels gave it their all.
18:30I don't know, I didn't really see the match.
18:33You didn't see the match.
18:34You were involved in the match.
18:35As a matter of fact, yes, there it is right there.
18:38Diesel at Jackknife, Fred Hart, a count of two, almost three.
18:42And the official said, hey,
18:43Shawn Michaels is not gonna stop this match.
18:45This match will resume.
18:46And then Owen Hart interfered.
18:49But yet the official said,
18:50no, the match is still gonna resume.
18:52And did it ever until the official was knocked down.
18:54And then here come the vultures.
18:56Yes, all of them going after Bret.
18:58All of them going after Diesel.
18:59Diesel clean houses Bob Backlund for the cross face chicken wing of Bret Hart.
19:03But in the end, it was a standing ovation.
19:05Out of respect for these two extraordinary combatants.
19:09And then from there, my, who would have ever predicted Double J, Jeff Jarrett, and
19:13the bad guy, Razor Ramon, would have the kind of match they did.
19:17Razor Ramon, there you see the roadie taking out the bad guy's knee.
19:20From there, Double J continues to go to Razor Ramon into getting back into the ring.
19:25Say, hey, I know I can't win the title on the count out.
19:28Get back in.
19:29Let's go. And then the bad guy, when he had Double J up.
19:32Here comes, no, it wasn't the razor's edge.
19:34His knee gave out.
19:35Double J wrapped up.
19:37Razor Ramon became the Intercontinental Champion.
19:40And then from there, IRS against The Undertaker.
19:44Erwin R Scheister knowing full well that against The Undertaker,
19:47his chances were slim and none.
19:49And in fact, The Undertaker pinned Erwin R Scheister.
19:53But then, the Druids got into action, as well as King Kong Bundy.
19:57IRS repossessed the urn.
20:02Who would have ever thought that would have happened?
20:04And then from there, the Royal Rumble.
20:06Thinking from here, McManakin, the Heartbreak Kid makes history
20:09by drawing the number one entry and lasting through 29 of the biggest and
20:14the baddest in the World Wrestling Federation to win the 1995 Royal Rumble.
20:19With everything that went on, it was crazy.
20:21There's damn rooting for me, of course.
20:23What a wild night.
20:24And it came down to me and the British Bulldog, number one and number two.
20:27Yes, and indeed, everyone thought as well as I did that the British Bulldog threw you
20:31over and won the match to music with playing the winner of the Royal Rumble,
20:34the British Bulldog.
20:35Not tonight, Bulldog.
20:37Mr. Shrewd himself, the Heartbreak Kid, pulls it out in the end.
20:40And like I said, left standing, arm in arm with Hot Pam in the arms of
20:44the Heartbreak Kid.
20:46Unbelievable.
20:47All right, ladies and gentlemen, we continue with WWF action on Monday Night Raw.
20:54Yes, the Portuguese Man of War, who himself gave quite a performance,
20:59indeed, at the recent WWF Royal Rumble.
21:03But then got tossed out of the ring by the man who won it.

21:09And indeed, the fireworks going off for the Portuguese Man of War.
