00:00Speaker 3 I'm surprised Mackenzie and CWU didn't play
00:06today. The reason why, especially for CWU, he's a fantastic ball striker, somebody that
00:13had a very nice presence, kept the last go around. And I just didn't see Mackenzie playing
00:19in the four Sims. I thought he would be playing four ball because he's such a good putter.
00:24And if you get enough looks now, maybe they're going to pair them up with somebody tomorrow
00:29that's going to be a really nice ball striker, that he will have more opportunities to make
00:34some putts. But that means if he had some bad shots, they're going to be in some trouble.
00:41But if it were me, it kind of seemed like a missed opportunity not to put two Canadians
00:47together. Not that it would have made a difference. But in that first group, go put out Corey
00:52Connors, go put out Taylor Pinder together and let them go. Just try to get some energy
00:58from the Canadian crowd. But just takeaways of what this President's Cup needs. Well,
01:07first off, if they went to Australia and the United States every year, you wouldn't have
01:10to worry about this. But I think the Canadian crowd's eventually going to show up. 5-0 lead
01:15doesn't help anything. I think the issue with the President's Cup is that it's four days.
01:20And that it's Thursday. It just seems like it should be a three-day deal.
01:27Go exactly the same format as the Ryder Cup. Instead of five matches today,
01:31should have been four. And I don't know. I think that's kind of one of the things I'm thinking
01:36about. I totally agree with you because it's interesting. And I should go retrace the history
01:41of the competition and the way that they've changed the structure of it. But it would seem
01:45to me that more so than a Ryder Cup scenario, you'd want the number of matches played to be
01:53less for the President's Cup, because that's where you start really exposing the lack of depth
01:57and talent on the international side. If you ask him to play 10 guys every day.
02:02Compared to the Americans. Yeah.
02:03Right. If you ask him to play 10 instead of 8. And this is no knock on these international guys,
02:07but it's just when you get to 9 and 10 on that list and you look at the 9 and 10 on the American
02:13side, that's a clear talent advantage. And so I think that going to using 8 guys in each session
02:20every day until you get to the 12 singles matches on Sunday would make a lot more sense to give
02:24them a better crack at it. Yes.
