00:00Now, there are some overwhelming numbers when it comes to just the rankings of these two
00:08sides, but the one other thing I want to mention just from outside the international side is
00:16that the rookies on foreign soil, the United States rookies, I should say, are 45, 64,
00:23and 19.
00:24So these guys, they have four rookies on this team, only two for the international team.
00:29So there's a way in which now we're talking about international soil in which the U.S.
00:36is already, they're not dominating on foreign soil, they are winning, they're not dominating,
00:40and now you have four rookies that are new to the President's Cup.
00:45So that's kind of just some numbers I wanted to throw at you.
00:48But how is the international team going to do this?
00:52Well, we're going to need a lot.
00:54We're going to need a lot from our stars.
00:56Let's go to what we saw at the Ryder Cup.
01:00Why did it seem like the European side was so dominant?
01:03Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, their stars showed up.
01:08They're going to need their stars to show up to give them points.
01:11And to me, their stars need to be Hideki Matsuyama, Corey Connors, and then some combination of
01:18either Jason Day or Adam Scott.
01:21You have to have, of those four guys, you really need them all to have solid President's
01:28Cups.
01:29But then you're going to have to find something from cast of characters of who's going to
01:34be the guy to take that leap into, you know, potential President's Cup leader, leading
01:40point getters.
01:42And there's the next group of guys that I think that if they have really nice weeks,
01:48that they can build off of maybe like a Tom Kim from the Quail Hollow, how well he played,
01:53he would be a guy.
01:54I think you have to have one guy between Mackenzie Hughes and Taylor Pendereth to have good weeks.
02:01You can't have Corey Connors and Taylor Pendereth go 0-4 like they did at the President's Cup.
02:08I think if those two guys, or just the Canadians in general, have good President's Cups, we're
02:14talking about now a Korean side who I feel as strong of any of the groups of where these
02:20guys are from, with Siwoo Kim being a ball striker that he is, Tom Kim we've already
02:26mentioned, and then Sungjae him, right?
02:28Like Sungjae is a guy that absolutely is a killer, and then Ben Ahn as well, who's been
02:35a bit of a silent assassin this year.
02:37So the way I frame it, Your Honor, is that the United States, although they look strong
02:45on paper, their world ranking looks strong, I still feel like there's rookies on this team.
02:52There's plenty of star power in the international side.
02:55They do need it to show up, they need their stars to play well.
02:59They're going to need some guys to, you know, the combination of making these picks like
03:04Mike Weir made with Mackenzie Hughes for his putting.
03:08He's got to putt good.
03:09Minwoo Lee with the driver, he's got to drive it good.
03:13Like we can't have these guys' superpowers not show up.
03:17But if they do show up, I think there's an opportunity for this international team to win.
03:23And I rest my case.
