00:00Protests marking the one year anniversary since the start of the deadly Gaza conflict
00:07are kicking off all around the country.
00:09This protest here in Sydney's Town Hall is peaceful but it is extremely passionate.
00:14We've seen demonstrations happen almost weekly here but this has been one of the largest
00:18turnouts with estimated over a thousand, perhaps two thousand people here in attendance.
00:24Attendees have described feeling worried and concerned for family members in both Palestine
00:29and Lebanon but also for civilian deaths.
00:32I think that politics aside, there's been too many people who've lost their lives and
00:37that should be the focus on everyone.
00:40It's children that are dying every day, innocent people that are dying every day, so we want
00:44the world to know what's really going on and who the real enemies are.
00:47We're here today for humanitarian reasons, nothing more.
00:52We want this to stop.
00:54We want children to stop dying.
00:56We want mothers to stop dying.
00:58We want people to go to school.
00:59We want them to finish school.
01:00We want people to live in peace and that's the only thing we want.
01:04Israel should stop bombing, stop all the bombing, stop all the shootings, they should let the
01:08countries go.
01:09Casualties have so far reached almost 40,000 in the region but the protest is promising
01:15to keep returning until a peaceful resolution is reached.
