‘Hezbollah has not started the war yet’ says expert

‘Hezbollah has lost the small battles so far, but it did not lose the war and Israel did not win the war. It has won a few battles. The war is still at the beginning.’ That’s the view of military and political analyst Elijah Magnier.

00:00The special forces have not been engaged in a battle from the day one. So for the last
00:07almost 12 months, the special forces are still waiting in their place. They have not been
00:13damaged. Only commanders that are immediately replaceable have been assassinated. Secondly,
00:20the naval force has not been touched and the missile force has been hit, but only the
00:29warehouses that are above the ground. Anything that under the ground and the long range missiles
00:36that are on the borders between Syria and Israel have not been destroyed. So because Israel has
00:44violated the rule of the war that has been established in the last 11 months, they start
00:51bombing the capital in a suburb and then killing the commanders, including the secretary general.
00:59That was a clear violation of the non-declared rule of engagement. And I think Hezbollah will
01:06do exactly the same by starting retaliating against Israel without any rule. Earlier, the
01:15supreme leader of Iran says Nasrallah's death will not go unavenged. And how likely is it now that
01:22other regional actors may step in? Iran doesn't need to step in because any direct
01:32intervention will indicate the weakness of Hezbollah. And I think Hezbollah has not started
01:39the war yet. Only in the last two weeks, there were a series of events that indicated apparently
01:49that there is a large confusion and Hezbollah has been defeated. Even if the Israeli media is saying
01:55well Hezbollah has endorsed more than 10% of its capability, which is quite accurate, which means
02:02Hezbollah still has 90% to fund Israel with, which is quite a lot.
02:0912 nations are now calling for a 21-day ceasefire, including the US. What can we conclude from
02:16Israel's refusal? And how will Biden calling Hassan Nasrallah's death a measure of justice
02:22affect US efforts to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah?
02:27I haven't seen any sign that matched what the Americans are saying and what they are doing
02:33since the beginning of the war in Gaza. They said they want to stop the war, but they continue
02:38supplying Israel up to 50,000 tons of explosives. They've added the financial support to Israel.
02:46They've refilled their interception missiles. There are 2,000 Delta forces in Israel,
02:525 to 6 highly experienced generals, the intelligence support that Israel is enjoying
03:03from being part of the US Central Command, CENTCOM, and the interception of all the missiles
03:10and drones that come from either Yemen or Iraq. The Americans are saying we don't want the Israeli
03:16to go to Rafah and Israel went to Rafah. The Americans are saying we don't want another war
03:22and don't bomb Beirut. The Israelis bombed Beirut and killed the commanders and this is
03:27when everything started. The Americans said we don't know what's happening, but then they said
03:31we have been informed and it's good that Nasrallah was killed and we're ready to defend Israel.
03:37So between the acts and the word, there is a huge difference.
