00:08Aside from highlighting the favorite destinations in the country and several travel deals and tips,

00:15what else is the significance that Travel Expo will help in our tourism?

00:21Philippines is continuously recognized as one of the leading destinations in Asia and around the world when it comes to tourism.

00:36In the past 100 years, the country has received many prestigious awards.

00:42In the 2024 World Travel Awards, the country has won many nominations, including the Asia's Leading Beach Destination,

00:54Asia's Leading Dive Destination,

00:59Asia's Leading Island Destination,

01:05Asia's Leading Tourist Attraction in Intramuros,

01:09Asia's Leading Luxury Island Destination in Boracay,

01:16and Cebu as Asia's Leading Wedding Destination.

01:23These nominations show the dedication of the Department of Tourism in promoting tourism in the country.

01:32We have been doing a lot in response to the tourism sector.

01:37We're trying to reach our target, of course.

01:40Travel Expo has helped a lot, just like the One-Stop Travel Sale Expo in Ortigas.

01:46It aims to bring travelers and foreign visitors closer to the places they can visit here in the Philippines.

01:54We're very happy to announce that we are full house for the second time because we have more exhibitors for around 176 exhibitors.

02:04Our partnership with our private stakeholders is topmost in the mind of our dear Secretary,

02:11especially because it is actually a very big help for the Department of Tourism,

02:17and we cannot move forward without the assistance and support of our private stakeholders.

02:22Because of these events, many foreigners and retirees are chosen to visit or live here.

02:29A lot of foreign retirees are all over the Philippines, in all the regions.

02:34We even have retirees living in Basilan.

02:37We have retirees living in the Mountain Province.

02:40You know, they just love our country.

02:42The nominations and awards received by the Philippines in the field of tourism

02:47not only show the beauty of our country,

02:50but also the dedication and hard work of the Filipinos in maintaining and improving our destinations.

02:58With the continuous support of the government, private stakeholders, and residents,

03:04tourism in the country will surely continue to grow.
