00:00Welcome to Sweden, one of the happiest and healthiest places on earth.
00:15I'm loving it already.
00:16Yeah.
00:17Woo!
00:18Look at that.
00:19This is a hydrofoil.
00:20This is a hydrofoil.
00:21I thought you'd like this.
00:22It's so calming and soothing.
00:23It's the opposite of you.
00:24It's a zero disruption system.
00:26Me and Chris have test driven cars all around the world together.
00:27Have you missed me?
00:28I thought I had.
00:29And now we're going back behind the wheel.
00:30If you're going to do that, drop a window.
00:31It's dealt with.
00:32I'm not farting.
00:33Flip it!
00:34Take it!

00:56I've hit the big 5-0 and it's coming for Chris too.
00:59I'm not giving up.
01:00But instead of getting weird about it, what are you doing?
01:05We've decided to tackle getting older head on.
01:08Oh, my God!
01:11So we're visiting some of our European neighbours.
01:14Cheers!
01:15Cheers!
01:16Cheers!
01:17Yay!
01:19To see if any of them can let us in on the secret.
01:22Hello, chaps.
01:23Hello.
01:24That's it, Chris.
01:26I can't hold on.
01:28To living healthier, happier, and longer lives.
01:32You are a change man. I'm so proud of you.
01:34Here we go, Chris.
01:36Come on, son.
01:41Three, let's go!
01:44We're starting off in Sweden, home of flat pack furniture and Abba.
01:49So perfect for this pair of dancing queens.
01:52Hey!
01:53And their new set of wheels.
01:56What better way to travel across country than in a cross country?
02:01Hey!
02:03Good lad.
02:04Oh, you've spoilt me here.
02:08Chris loves a Volvo.
02:10They're like him. Reliable.
02:12Even when they've got a few miles on the clock.
02:14I might be here for some time.
02:17Do yourself a brew.
02:19But I had to let him do a little bit of sum up with cars, so bear with.
02:23Five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
02:26Ten.
02:27Ten.
02:28Ten.
02:29Ten.
02:30Ten.
02:31Ten.
02:32Ten.
02:33Ten.
02:34Ten.
02:36Five-cylinder as well, Pat.
02:38Yeah, it's got that lovely five-cylinder warble.
02:40I know you like a five-cylinder.
02:41Brilliant. Get in. Let's go.
02:43Listen to that door. Listen to that door.
02:45That is quality, mate.
02:47And we're off! Adventure time!
02:50If you change your mind
02:52Take a chance
02:53I'm the first in line
02:54Take a chance
02:55Honey, I'm still free
02:56Take a chance
02:57Take a chance on me
02:58Take a chance
02:59If you need me
03:00Let me know
03:02The Swedes are some of the happiest people on earth,
03:05despite how much time they spend assembling furniture.
03:09Oh, on cue, an Ikea!
03:12Maybe they can teach us a few things, starting with the highway code.
03:16I've got a funny feeling I'm in the wrong lane here.
03:18Whoa!
03:19What you could do is try and put your foot down a bit
03:21and get in front of this yellow one.
03:23All right, Sterling, for God's sake, calm down.
03:26We're starting our trip south of the city of Gothenburg
03:29and heading down the west coast
03:31in search of Swedish remedies for getting older.
03:35I'm 50. When are you 50?
03:37Next year.
03:38Next year.
03:39Are you having me on?
03:40Next year.
03:41I'm older than you?
03:42Yes.
03:44Look at yourself in the mirror.
03:46That is what I'm basing it on.
03:48No, you are.
03:50Wow.
03:54Men, as they get older, worry about things like the masculinity.
03:58They worry about virility.
04:00Virality. Is it virility?
04:02Being virile.
04:03You choose.
04:04Yeah, I'll say being virile.
04:07Loss.
04:08Yeah.
04:09We both know what that's like.
04:10I think a lot of it is down to stress.
04:13I think my problem is I can saunter through life ignoring my age,
04:18but there are specific moments where...
04:20You get reminded.
04:21Things remind me of it, particularly physical things.
04:23I mean, you're in good shape, but I'm not in good shape.
04:27When I start limping or I sit down and I can't get up again,
04:30I don't like it.
04:31But what does a woman worry about?
04:33I don't know.
04:34I don't know, but I'll tell you this.
04:36This 23-year-old Volvo has got one of the nicest spaced pedal boxes
04:40I've ever experienced because I can get a roll onto the throttle
04:45when I brake.
04:46Feel this now. Feel this heel and toe.
04:48Like that.
04:49You didn't feel that, did you?
04:50As I said earlier, that's the other shore.
04:53You've got to stop doing that on this trip.
04:57It's not going to wash.
04:59Different set of viewers just putting it out there.
05:02Yeah, but I like all that stuff.
05:04Oh, God.
05:06Getting Chris out of his comfort zone is always tough,
05:10so I'm hoping our first stop will chill him out a bit.
05:23This is the seaside town of Varberg.
05:26Imagine Blackpool, but full of saunas.
05:29Some Swedes reckon that spending time in steamy huts
05:33is the key to health and happiness.
05:35I'm going to have to open my mind to this
05:37because I'm used to going to the pub, really,
05:39but they like going and sweating.
05:41Well, we've done that in the pub as well, haven't we?
05:43We have.
05:44I'm not a great sauna-goer.
05:45I'm approaching this with some trepidation
05:47because I don't like confined spaces much
05:50and I think they like to throw you in cold water afterwards.
05:53We have to integrate with the locals to understand it
05:56and they'll be looking at us thinking,
05:58who are these softies?
06:06There you go.
06:07Oh, that's it, look at that!
06:08It's beautiful.
06:09Beautiful!
06:10It looks a bit like a sort of religious building.
06:12It does, doesn't it?
06:14This isn't just any old sauna, but the granddaddy of them all.
06:19One of the oldest and most famous in the country.
06:22Isn't that gorgeous?
06:23That's gorgeous.
06:24Now, it doesn't scream sauna, does it?
06:26No, it doesn't.
06:27No, it looks like Western supermarket, but in Morocco.
06:30Right, I'm going to get the towels out the back.
06:33There you are, son.
06:34Good lad.
06:37Here we go.
06:38Have you brought your flip-flops?
06:39No.
06:40I'm always nervous about going into a new place and undressing.
06:43You smell the old Albus, can't you?
06:45But we're meeting a lad who's been coming here for 25 years.
06:49Hello, pal.
06:50Hello.
06:51Tell you what, you're looking very relaxed.
06:54I am.
06:55How are you, pal?
06:56Good to meet you.
06:57I'm Paddy.
06:58I'm Chris.
06:59Hi, Chris.
07:00Nice to meet you guys.
07:01Beautiful.
07:02Yeah, it is.
07:03So where's the sauna?
07:04It's there, it's the other side.
07:05That's where we're going.
07:06You want to come?
07:07Yes.
07:08Yeah, go and take your clothes off.
07:09Yes.
07:10He's keen.
07:11Are you joining us?
07:12I'll be your guide.
07:13Right, come on then.
07:14Here we go.
07:15Nature's Botox.
07:21Do you remember on Top Gear, the first time I dropped my dogs in front of me
07:24and you shrieked?
07:25Yeah, that isn't the pretty sight, to be honest.
07:27Ready?
07:32I can't believe we've gone from...
07:34I used to test Lamborghinis.
07:36I'm now doing a shower scene with McGuinness.
07:39Woo!
07:40Where did my life come from?
07:45I don't know about health and happiness,
07:47but these lads aren't suffering from shyness.
07:53Hi, guys.
07:54Hello, chaps.
07:55Hello.
07:56Hello.
07:57Welcome.
07:58This is my friends.
08:01The idea is that saunas are supposed to reduce stress,
08:04although, to be honest, I've rarely felt more nervous.
08:08Hello, boys.
08:10Here we are in the country, at Gable's Abba,
08:13and they've already whipped out the Chiquititas.
08:17What a view.
08:18Let's keep looking out there.
08:25Who's the oldest gentleman here?
08:2788.
08:2888?
08:29You look fantastic.
08:31So, did you guys all meet through coming here,
08:33or did you know each other outside of coming here?
08:37We didn't know each other before we come here.
08:39We meet here.
08:40And after a while, someone said,
08:42you're welcome to join our group.
08:44Come in and you talk, or you're quiet?
08:46We talk.
08:47We talk.
08:48We listen.
08:49We listen.
08:53It's sort of like a big naked version of my local pub.
08:58What about outside of here?
09:00What's your lifestyle like?
09:01You're retired.
09:02Yeah, but before you retire...
09:04He was a teacher.
09:05Teacher.
09:06Right, OK.
09:07He was a fire chief.
09:09Yeah.
09:10He was a sausage maker.
09:12Sausage maker?
09:13Right, sausage maker, OK.
09:15All right, OK.
09:16One thing with being naked,
09:19when you take your clothes off,
09:21everyone is on the same level.
09:23Are they?
09:24Yeah.
09:25Well, some more than others.
09:26Maybe that's the problem.
09:27In the UK, some aren't the same.
09:29And here you are.
09:30Yeah.
09:31OK.
09:33Over here, it's a different vibe, isn't it?
09:35It's a level playing field.
09:37There's no class.
09:38It's kind of everyone's naked as babies
09:40and just chatting about anything, really.
09:42The spine is too short.
09:44Everything's too short.
09:46That's why I'm wearing shorts.
09:48I know I'm not in good shape.
09:50So you are more self-conscious, and it's not a good feeling.
09:53They don't seem to have that at all.
09:55So how much do you associate how fit and healthy you are
09:59for your ages to this kind of activity?
10:02Is this key?
10:03I think it's the well-being in your mind.
10:07Yeah.
10:08I think that's the most important.
10:10We've lost some of the men that have died, yeah?
10:13And at every funeral, the priest has been talking
10:16about how important the sauna was, yeah?
10:18Really?
10:19Yeah, and some of them have put a towel
10:21for sitting on the coffin, yeah?
10:23No!
10:24Yeah.
10:25Yeah, it's true.
10:26Wow, that's something, isn't it?
10:29But it's not just the sauna that's good for your health.
10:32You finish off by plunging into crystal-clear icy water.
10:36When you go into the very cold water,
10:39you have some hormones just pumping.
10:42So when you stay there a couple of minutes,
10:44when you come up, you feel so well.
10:46You feel good.
10:47You feel happy.
10:48Yeah.
10:49Yeah.
10:50So if you don't come here, if you're away on vacation
10:52or whatever, do you miss this place?
10:54Do you feel mentally you're missing?
10:56Yeah, we do.
10:58Especially the water.
10:59Not them, but the water.
11:02I feel like I need a bit of a cold plunge now myself.
11:05Ready?
11:06Let's do it!
11:07I think you'll cover.
11:08Oh!
11:14Fresh.
11:15Look at this!
11:20It's straight in there.
11:21I know.
11:23Oh!
11:26They warned us the water was a bit chilly,
11:28so Chris and I went in fully prepared for shrinkage.
11:35Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
11:36Nice!
11:39That's fresh!
11:41Fresh.
11:42Yes!
11:43My word!
11:44That's fresh.
11:45Really good.
11:46Nice.
11:47That's not 15.
11:48That's about 10!
11:50My God, you feel it.
11:51You feel your forearms and your legs going a bit.
11:55I bet you it's not 15.
11:56If it is, you've had it between your legs.
11:58Nearly 17.
12:00He says it is.
12:01You are a kid.
12:02Yes.
12:03Good Lord, that is cold, Patrick.
12:05It's not cold.
12:06It's fresh.
12:07Beaker!
12:08Beaker!
12:09Tell you what, there's something to be said for that.
12:11Feel amazing.
12:12Actually, for that water we're boating,
12:14when you get out and five minutes later,
12:16you feel, like, lovely and warm and glowing.
12:18A bit like when you were a kid and you had your Eddibrek.
12:21It feels fantastic.
12:23Oh!
12:24Cheers.
12:25How do we say cheers in Swedish?
12:27Skål!
12:28Skål!
12:29Skål!
12:30So this is fika, and it's a big deal in Sweden.
12:33It's a traditional ritual that basically involves some buns...
12:37Cinnamon bun.
12:38Oh!
12:39Have you got one?
12:40..and some bands.
12:41Look at that.
12:42We have a name of our group.
12:45We call the sauna club The Raisins.
12:48The Raisins? Because it's shriveled.
12:50Shriveled, yeah.
12:54That's good.
12:55Two times a week.
12:56It's really important.
12:57Yeah.
12:58And just to walk and go and have a sweet.
13:01But we never talk political.
13:03No politics.
13:04I was going to ask you that, so no politics.
13:06No politics, no religion.
13:08The most we talk about cars, sports.
13:11I like cars.
13:12Cars is good.
13:13I really, really enjoyed it.
13:15The idea of no politics, no negativity, no religion.
13:18Let's just sit and chat about our lives.
13:20It's an escape valve.
13:21They've got a two-times-a-week escape valve
13:23where their bodies enjoy what's happening to them,
13:26and I think their brains do as well.
13:28There's something in it, definitely something in it.
13:30I'd love to get one of the towels.
13:33I need one to put in his coffin when we get back home.
13:37I have a spare towel.
13:39Oh, fantastic.
13:41That's from the 70s.
13:43It don't smell so good.
13:45Like cheese.
13:50Obviously, it's working, lads, isn't it?
13:53Cos you're all looking amazing, you feel great as well.
13:57We want a little bit of that, don't we?
13:59I think we've started.
14:00I'm not in good shape at the moment.
14:02I'm nearly 50 years old.
14:03I've had three years of not really looking after myself.
14:06This is a reboot for me.
14:08Thank you very much, guys.
14:10Gentlemen, thank you very much.
14:12Thanks for having us, lads.
14:13I think we're all guilty in life of living our lives by the clock,
14:17especially in the UK.
14:18You know, you're always checking the time,
14:20you're stressing about stuff.
14:21These guys take time out.
14:23It's a full day of everything for them.
14:25I think as you get older, it's not about looking amazing,
14:29it's about feeling amazing.
14:32Absolutely fantastic.
14:34Considering this is day one,
14:36and I'm already feeling great off the back of it,
14:39if this is the start,
14:40I can't wait to see what the end's going to be like.
14:43I managed to get my towel.
14:45Look at that.
14:471985.
14:50I'll give my hands a quick sanitise after it,
14:54but take it home, give it a wash,
14:56and we're all good.
15:10After just one day,
15:12we can already see how important good health is to the Swedes.
15:16And it's made me realise myself and Chris have got a lot to learn.
15:22It still amazes me, when you come to a country like Sweden,
15:25how the philosophy's different to where we live.
15:28I think as men, it's very easy in the UK to kind of go,
15:32oh, I'm not doing all that.
15:35You take a look at yourself,
15:36oh, I'm not doing all that.
15:38You take a look at something like your testicles,
15:40it's like they might be swollen up like grapefruits.
15:43That's the level you get to as a bloke,
15:45where you think, no, I'll go to doctors.
15:47Yeah, and you've just used the word testicles,
15:49and I'm amazed at actually my newfound maturity,
15:51because even until recently,
15:53if someone just said the word testicles, I'd sneak it.
15:55I still struggle with the word anus.
15:59I think arse is just better.
16:00Yeah, but they're different things, mate.
16:02What are you on about?
16:03If you were to see a man with a nicely shaped backside,
16:06if you said, I like the look of his anus,
16:09I would say to you, what do you mean?
16:12But if you said, I like the look of his arse...
16:17That's true, you don't go, nice anus.
16:29When it comes to keeping fit and healthy,
16:31we might not know our, well, our anus from our elbow,
16:35but it turns out the Swedes have a secret weapon.
16:39Mother Nature.
16:41There's a philosophy in these Nordic countries,
16:44and I'm going to question my pronunciation here.
16:46OK.
16:47Friluftsliv.
16:49Friluftsliv.
16:51Friluftsliv.
16:52It's a concept of being at one with nature
16:55and de-stressing your life.
16:57We all go to...
16:59Well, you, I wouldn't.
17:01You all go to places like Magaluf and get hammered and do what you do.
17:05These guys, they'll go to a fjord or they'll go to a lake up north
17:09and they'll walk, they'll eat healthily.
17:12That's what they do.
17:13They use their spare time to go back and reconnect with nature,
17:17which is probably something that we should do more.
17:20So today we're heading inland to bond with nature
17:24and push the philosophy of Friluftsliv to an extreme.
17:30Here, people don't need a gym to stay fit.
17:35Just give them a lake, a forest track, some lycra,
17:39and they're good to go.
17:41I'm already feeling intimidated.
17:43I can ease in the water here.
17:45Oh, blimey.
17:49He's off running. We're not doing this, are we?
17:51That's not even running, that's sprinting.
17:54The one good thing is they're all clothed.
17:57No-one's naked.
18:02We're about to be put through our paces by Jonas Kulty.
18:06He's a top triathlete and two-time Ultraman World Champion.
18:11Slightly more depressingly, he's the same age as me and Chris,
18:15and he looks a lot better in that wetsuit.
18:18Must be Jonas. Yes.
18:21Good to see you, Paddy.
18:22I'm Jonas. Jonas is Chris.
18:24Hi.
18:25It's obviously working.
18:27You're looking fantastic, pal.
18:29Please tell us we're not doing that.
18:31We could, but I hadn't planned for it.
18:34I'm taking you out for a Swedish typical forest excursion.
18:38Oh, I love that. Let's go. We'll follow you.
18:41I presume you're going to get out of that wet gear.
18:43I don't want any chaffing.
18:45Almost three-quarters of Sweden is made up of forests,
18:49and unlike a gym, you can work out in any of them for free.
18:56Sweden would be probably one of the best countries
19:00for outdoor activities,
19:02because we have something called the Allemandsrätt,
19:04which means we all have access to nature.
19:06I mean, there's basically no private land
19:08where you're not able to access.
19:10So it is really the Swedish way to...
19:12That's interesting. So there's no private land.
19:14This is all public land? Yeah, this is all public.
19:16But everything, like forests, lakes,
19:18you can swim basically anywhere.
19:20You can hike basically anywhere.
19:21You can pick mushrooms and berries basically anywhere in the season.
19:24Oh, fantastic.
19:25So most Swedes really use nature as a way to decompress,
19:28handle lifestyle stress, and also just to, you know, keep healthy.
19:38So far, it's been a lovely country walk
19:41that Jonas is about to ruin by making us do some exercise.
19:46Welcome to the Swedish forest.
19:48Quite nice, this. It's almost like a gym mat.
19:50It is, it is, it is.
19:52We're doing a 45-minute extreme forest workout.
19:57Are you ready for this?
19:58This is the beginning of the new me.
20:00That's excellent. Love that.
20:03Good foot positioning.
20:04Yeah.
20:07Are we sure to go from high, Bob?
20:13I wouldn't want to be that tree stump right now.
20:18Ready?
20:19Just imagine it's my head.
20:20Oh, bring it on.
20:23Bring it on high.
20:24Jonas calls this primal training.
20:27Pulling, we're pushing, we're lifting,
20:29we're throwing, we're hurling, we're sledging.
20:32And I tell you what, it's the best therapy.
20:35All right.
20:36Enjoyed that.
20:38Hold it as far out as you can.
20:39As far out on the...
20:40There you go.
20:41There you go. One more on that side.
20:43Oh, he's enjoying that.
20:45Bring it up high.
20:46Bring it up high.
20:48Please don't go battering dead trees in your local park,
20:51unless you're with a Swedish triathlete.
20:55Yeah.
20:56Good stuff.
20:57Enjoyed that.
20:58Enjoyed that.
20:59The first time we've done any real exercise in a long time
21:02always kills, doesn't it?
21:04Get that wide stance.
21:07Probably done a bit of drinking and smoking
21:09in the last couple of years, so I get that burn.
21:11But you have to start somewhere.
21:13The rock section is really about speed and repetition.
21:17Chest.
21:18Pushing it.
21:19That will be very tiring.
21:21Good.
21:22Now, kids, don't try this at all,
21:24or anywhere else for that matter.
21:26Two chest, hurl.
21:27Yeah.
21:28I'll get that.
21:29I knew he'd say that.
21:30It's not pleasant, it's profoundly unpleasant.
21:32There's a little bit of your brain that's going,
21:34this is good.
21:36Oh, yeah.
21:37Yeah.
21:40All right, last one.
21:41Wow.
21:42Good, good, good.
21:44All right, guys, we're doing the tug of war.
21:46So grab the rope, leave it some slack,
21:48and just really strain against each other
21:51and work that entire body.
21:54I'll pull you uphill.
21:56It's the same.
21:59Oh, I've always done this before.
22:01I like that.
22:02Just get a really good stance.
22:03I mean, really solid stance.
22:05Don't just leave Gola up.
22:06No, no, no.
22:08I was about to say.
22:10Three, two, one.
22:12All right, let's hold.
22:1330 seconds from now.
22:15You may change footing a little bit, but...
22:17Are you putting all your weight on that?
22:19That feels like it to me.
22:21I'm trying to get you up an hill here.
22:22Look at that.
22:23He's pulling me in, the lad.
22:24Put some effort into it.
22:26Put some effort into it.
22:27All right.
22:28All right.
22:29Put some more effort into it.
22:34Now I'm tired.
22:35All right, that's 35, 40 seconds.
22:37That was good, that.
22:38It feels good, right?
22:39Yeah.
22:40I really enjoyed that.
22:41There's something to be said about training.
22:43With no mirrors, no mobile phones,
22:46no distractions,
22:47no trying to outdo anyone around you.
22:50Just inner forest, nature,
22:54fresh air.
22:55It's amazing.
22:56Yeah, I feel good.
22:57Feel it, yeah.
22:58I feel like you brought your primal inner being out.
23:00I'm actually thinking of growing a beard,
23:02to be honest.
23:03I would join this gym.
23:04I don't like gyms.
23:05Gyms smell of toilet block,
23:07whereas this smells of green stuff
23:10and a little bit of conifer.
23:12I love it.
23:19This is part of friluftsliv.
23:21It's like making food outdoors.
23:26So I'd love for you to meet my family, my kids.
23:28This is my wife, Elin.
23:30Hi, nice to meet you.
23:31Nice to meet you.
23:32Chris, nice to meet you.
23:33Elin will make you a Swedish hot dog
23:36with Swedish specialties.
23:38Oh, fantastic.
23:39Oh, what's this?
23:40Shrimp salad hot dog.
23:43Good.
23:44Very Swedish.
23:45Bit of crunch in that as well, isn't there?
23:47Oh, yeah.
23:48Since you've had children,
23:50how have you found your work-life balance
23:52with your training and everything else?
23:54Toned down the training a bit.
23:56It becomes more challenging.
23:57My motivation for staying fit
24:00or even more so staying healthy
24:02is bigger than ever.
24:03It's for me to be there for them, you know?
24:06My dream with the boys is to be able to do
24:08a swim run competition with them
24:10when they're teenagers, you know?
24:11Yeah, yeah.
24:12When you're 70, that's when you'll look 50.
24:14You'll be all right.
24:15Yeah, I don't know about that.
24:16You'll be okay.
24:17Because my kids, they've realised I'm getting older.
24:20And then, of course, I'm not in very good shape.
24:22They're gentle, but I think what they want to say to me is,
24:24sort yourself out.
24:25Yeah, I don't think you're in that shape, Chris.
24:28Just getting rid of perfection, first of all, is a good...
24:30Because life is never perfect.
24:31Goals become totally unattainable
24:33if you put them up too high.
24:35Like, I'll do the best I can with what I have.
24:37Oh, look.
24:38Have you taken it?
24:39How cute you are.
24:40Thank you very much.
24:44In the UK, we do everything 100 miles an hour.
24:49I'm the worst for that, you know?
24:51But I think when you've got this on your doorstep,
24:53you can get out on your own and just do your bit.
24:56Whereas in the UK, if you see a bloke in a forest on his own,
25:00he's not training.
25:02Just putting it out there.
25:07They're doing something right, aren't they?
25:09Because they seem to have time with their families.
25:12Look at all these kids running around.
25:13After school, they come to a lake, have a good laugh,
25:16and our kids are going back and looking at devices
25:18and eating McDonald's.
25:19It's not very good.
25:21We could learn a lot from it.
25:23I think, for me, it's about sorting out the balance
25:27between work and life.
25:28I don't know about you in the UK,
25:30but my work-life balance is work, work, work, work,
25:35little bit of life.
25:36That's a trap you can fall into.
25:38I want to get it the other way.
25:39I want to get a bit of 50-50 going on crystals.
25:41Yeah.
25:42Because, you know, it's over.
25:43It's over like that, isn't it?
25:51Right, you lot.
25:52In the spirit of living life to its fullest,
25:55we're off to the big city to have some fun, Swedish style.
26:07Gothenburg has the longest summer in Sweden.
26:11144 days of summer.
26:14Gorgeous.
26:15If you're going to do that, by the way,
26:17can you put the window down because it's not on?
26:19I'm not farted.
26:20Just for the smoothness of this trip,
26:22drop a window and it's dealt with.
26:26Nice building.
26:28When did you start to have architectural sympathies?
26:31Erm...
26:33Because I've seen your house.
26:36Urban Swedes love a team sport,
26:40and after football, ice hockey's the most popular.
26:44I think club sports,
26:45they might be the healthiest headspace for people.
26:48And I think people that have played team sports
26:51and don't now, like at our age,
26:53we look back on those years as some of our fondest memories.
27:01The Freelunder ice hockey team
27:03have won the national championships five times.
27:06Today, some of their former players
27:08are going to put us through our paces.
27:10Quite fast, isn't it?
27:11Quite fast, yeah.
27:13Now, when it comes to hockey,
27:15you might think it's all fistfights and missing teeth,
27:18but the sport also offers ageing athletes like us
27:22a full-body workout.
27:24I've spotted one thing already, Pat.
27:26Yeah?
27:27They're all more your size than my size.
27:29They're huge.
27:30Even the small ones are a foot taller than me.
27:33Have you told them you can do this?
27:36How hard can it be, sliding in a boat?
27:38We've all been on sledges as kids, haven't we?
27:41We're going to get absolutely hammered here.
27:44Hey, only one way to find out.
27:47When in Sweden...
27:52Even Torvald and Dean had to start somewhere,
27:55so before we're allowed to play with the big boys,
27:58we need to master the basics.
28:00Just hold on to the board for now.
28:03He's on.
28:04He's on. Good job.
28:11Are you going to let go of the board so now we can try?
28:14No, thank you.
28:16Yeah!
28:17Actually, this is one of the few times
28:19you'll see him better than me at something.
28:21I think I'm going to take the goalie stint.
28:23I don't quite know how I'm going to do that,
28:25but apparently you can spend a lot of time on your knees,
28:28which is good.
28:31Tell you what, it's tiring, isn't it?
28:35The exhibition we've made of ourselves
28:37seems to have attracted attention.
28:39Impressive. You're a very kind man.
28:42I think we're finishing our practice here now,
28:44but we're going to play a little game.
28:46You guys are keen? We're up for it.
28:48Can you really hit it as hard as you can against him?
28:51Cos he likes that. We'll give it a shot. Yeah.
28:55Before we hit the ice, we need to loop the part.
28:58Time to get kitted out.
29:00How long have you all been in the team?
29:02We all come from different groups, different backgrounds,
29:05but, I mean, the majority of us here have probably been
29:08playing hockey since we're five or six years old.
29:10Wow. Right. Right, let's go. Let's go.
29:13Up, up, up, up, up, up, up.
29:15Thank you. Bye-bye.
29:17Hey, you've got a game to play.
29:19Right, here we go.
29:21We're going to need some serious protection against this lot.
29:25Look at that. Shall I test it? No.
29:28Just a little gentle one. No, no, no.
29:31How's that? That's not bad. That's all right. That was enough.
29:35The lads have an average age of 50,
29:37but I think they're going to be skating rings around us.
29:40Oh, Chris looks well.
29:44All we need now is to put your padding on underneath.
29:48Time for talk is over.
29:50And these lads aren't messing about.
29:56Rasta, madre, rasta.
29:58Viva la neta, rasta.
30:06What are they saying? I don't know.
30:08I think it says something about kill the goalie.
30:10Yeah.
30:12We've got all the gear, but no idea.
30:15Still, no turning back now.
30:17That's the fastest I've ever been.
30:19Fassic, pads up front going for glory.
30:22I'm in goal-saving pucks.
30:25Here we go.
30:27All right, Paddy, you ready for this?
30:29Come on, Paddy.
30:31Paddy, Paddy, Paddy.
30:33Paddy, Paddy, Paddy.
30:35Paddy, Paddy, Paddy.
30:37Paddy, Paddy, Paddy.
30:39All right, Paddy, you ready for this?
30:41Push me back.
30:43We're off.
30:45Which way are we shooting?
30:47Just like that, I've let one in already.
30:50Have they scored?
30:56But as the saying goes,
30:58when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
31:02I think I might have cracked the ice.
31:04Ha-ha-ha-ha!
31:07Can we get it together and pull this one out of the bag?
31:11Come on, Paddy!
31:13Of course not.
31:17Chris, any chance you save it?
31:20I'm trying, son, I'm trying!
31:26Come on, Paddy, son!
31:28Oh, God, here he comes.
31:30But with the crowd behind us and time ticking away,
31:34Seyfan's Chris goes and pulls off an absolute worldie.
31:38HE SCREAMS
31:44Go, go, go, go, Paddy, go!
31:46It's... Yes, then!
31:49Oh, it's an absolute screamer by Paddy de Daddy from Bolton.
31:53It's just scored!
31:55Paddy, Paddy, Paddy!
31:58HE LAUGHS
32:01I mean, I knew this was a tough sport anyhow,
32:04but I have got a newfound respect for these lot.
32:07Cheers, boys. Well done, gentlemen.
32:09Oh, boys, boys! Thank you, boys.
32:15Thanks, guys. Cheers, pal, thank you.
32:17I've played Sunday League football most of my life,
32:20never seen as much penis as I've been in Sweden.
32:23Very comfortable.
32:25I tell you, some of them, you're looking at a way of getting fit,
32:28but having a bit of fun and camaraderie and what have you.
32:31This is perfect.
32:32Because, seriously, calories-wise,
32:34God knows how many calories we've burned off out there,
32:37but all the lads look after you.
32:39It's a great club. I think it's a good thing to do. I really do.
32:48My God.
32:50Anyone got any Raljex?
32:52Where's Harris?
32:54Probably getting the coffees in.
32:59HE SIGHS
33:12Has this got an eating seat on it?
33:14Is your seat really hot?
33:16No, mine's fine.
33:18You didn't have eating seats.
33:20How old's this car? What, you say early 90s?
33:22What is this car?
33:24Have I got an eating seat on or have I pissed myself?
33:28That's the age again.
33:33After a hard workout with the lads,
33:35we could do with a bit of a breather.
33:39That amusement park.
33:42I reckon we should get to that.
33:44Roll back the years. Get on the old big one.
33:46Why?
33:48It's a bit of fun, innit?
33:51Liseberg is one of the most popular amusement parks in Europe.
33:56There's something for everyone.
33:58We've even got Chris a new set of wheels.
34:02Do you know, our school, we did one trip a year to Alton Towers.
34:06That was our big trip.
34:08And now schools, they're going skiing in Italy.
34:12I had a letter sent home for the kids the other week from school
34:17asking for permission for the kids to go to NASA.
34:24NASA!
34:26We went to Alton Towers once a year.
34:29NASA! I went, what, the NASA?
34:32That was the quickest no ever.
34:38There's something about a theme park.
34:40It just makes you smile.
34:43No, this isn't just an excuse for us.
34:46Health aficionados say having fun boosts your immune system.
34:50I love these places. It reminds me of being young.
34:53And gives you a happy hormone hit.
34:56You've absolutely smashed it!
34:59And the biggest hit of all around here is this monster.
35:06Introducing the Valkyria.
35:10Watch. Oh, that's not good.
35:13Oh, that's not good. Oh, dear, Patrick.
35:16Europe's longest dive coaster with a vertical drop of 50 metres.
35:21Blimey.
35:25My word!
35:27Strap in and bring some spur on the vans.
35:30Er, it's not turning back.
35:32Let's go!
35:34My God.
35:36Dear me.
35:38Yeah, OK, that's not... That's not entirely pleasant.
35:41This is not... That's not entirely pleasant.
35:44Lovely views, folks.
35:46Lovely views. Lovely views.
35:49I never knew adrenaline was brown.
35:52Oh, no, no, no. Oh, my God, no.
35:55Oh, just...
35:57Oh! That's not good.
35:59That's not good.
36:01Oh!
36:03Oh!
36:05Oh!
36:07Oh, my God!
36:09Oh, my...
36:11This is not good!
36:13Oh! Oh!
36:15Oh, my God!
36:27Ha-ha-ha! Ha-ha-ha-ha!
36:30Whoo! Now I feel old.
36:34Do you know, when you're a child
36:36and your dad goes over a humpback bridge... Yeah.
36:39..and you get that feeling in your stomach... Yeah.
36:41..I got that in my stomach and in my anus.
36:45Both at the same time.
36:47But, hey, feel good.
36:57With all the exercise and fun stuff the Swedes get up to,
37:00it's no wonder they top the charts for health and happiness.
37:04But us Brits don't even make the top ten.
37:07I love a corn, I think. I like a strawberry corn, I think.
37:10Oh, yeah. Classic.
37:12I mean, they probably eat a bit better than us and all.
37:15Pretzel with popcorn.
37:20I like to think I'm a healthy eater, but I'm probably not.
37:23What gives you that impression?
37:26Well, I eat lots of it.
37:28Yeah, you know, cos when people say,
37:30what's Chris like, I go, he's great,
37:32but he's just always eating nuts and berries and fruit.
37:35You can't... You can't...
37:38You can't move in the car for bananas and nectarines.
37:44To be honest, when it comes to junk food,
37:46we're probably both as bad as each other.
37:48And we're definitely much worse than the Swedes.
37:51So we're off to find out about a superfood
37:54that's trending here right now.
37:56Hope it goes well with chips.
37:58Today is all about seaweed.
38:01Now, seaweed is supposed to be that rich in nutrients
38:05and good for you and everything else.
38:07This is all about what you put in your body.
38:10OK. Right?
38:12Do you like eating seaweed?
38:14Never tried it.
38:16Now, I would say when it comes to sort of being an adventurous eater,
38:20you are definitely higher up the scale than me.
38:23I know five-year-olds that are further up the scale than you, honestly.
38:26It's not one of your strengths.
38:28You've got better over the time I've known you,
38:30but you like what you like, don't you?
38:32I like what I like. I'm very, very simple tastes.
38:35And my simple tastes don't normally run to munching on a load of seaweed.
38:40But, you know, maybe it's time for a change.
38:51We are absolutely surrounded now by the archipelagos.
38:55It's an archipelago.
38:58So it's one body of islands.
39:00You can't have archipelagos.
39:03The archipelago contains the islands. It's a singular thing.
39:06Archipelago? We're surrounded by the archipelago?
39:09Yeah, we are in the archipelago. These are the islands that are in it.
39:12Do you know what? I wish I had your education.
39:15No.
39:16Because that has absolutely made that crystal clear for me now.
39:20I just didn't want you making even more of a tit of yourself on television.
39:24Right, we're in the middle of archipelagos now. There's ten of them.
39:27It'll only be you that picks up on that.
39:30After 12 minutes of intense geography with Mr Harris, thankfully, class is dismissed.
39:38Something exciting about rolling off the ferry.
39:40Yeah, yeah.
39:41It's holiday time, Pat.
39:42I was going to say, it's holiday, isn't it?
39:55This is rather special.
39:57I mean, this could be in the Mediterranean.
39:59Can we find a beach bar?
40:01Oh, that'd be nice.
40:02Two pints of flulitz, loose, please.
40:07Here we go.
40:12Hello.
40:13Welcome.
40:14Here to tell us all about seaweed are expert Cassandra and Anna-Lee.
40:19Today we are going out to the seaweed farm over there.
40:22So that's a farm?
40:23Yes, it's my farm.
40:25So we have the seaweed growing on ropes,
40:28and we harvest like two months a year when the seaweed is fresh.
40:33I'll let you know now, Paddy, when I first met him, was not the most adventurous eater.
40:37So really it was like KFC, and we needed something to eat to have at McDonald's nearby.
40:41But he's getting so much better.
40:43Three years ago he would never have eaten seaweed,
40:45but now he's so open-minded, he's going to eat raw seaweed.
40:48I hope.
40:49When you first think of seaweed, you think about what you see as a kid at the beach,
40:52and it doesn't really appeal to you.
40:54It's got bubbles in it as well.
40:55Yeah, it's got bubbles.
40:56The UK stuff has bubbles in it.
40:57Oh, no.
40:58Is it a dark green still?
40:59More brownish, I would say.
41:01Like gold, really.
41:03Gold.
41:07Where's the propeller?
41:09This is what we need.
41:11Sun, sea, and Spandau ballet.
41:14Come on, McGuinness.
41:15Oh, a bit of waves here, captain.
41:19Come on, Pad.
41:20We have a saying in the UK.
41:21It's called shaking like a shitting dog.
41:30The thing with seaweed is that we're up here, and it's down there.
41:34So to reach it, you need a pair of lungs like Anna Lee's.
41:37She's a free diving world champion.
41:40How far down are you going?
41:41I'll see how deep it is.
41:42Probably 10 meters.
41:44You have to do a routine first.
41:46Yeah, I usually take a few really deep breaths
41:48to really oxygenate my lungs and lower my heart rate.
41:52Just to make you feel better, I was a lifeguard in the late 90s.
41:56That feels good.
41:57I think I've still got the techniques.
41:58That feels good.
41:59I'll try my best, but I'll be watching you.
42:01Very good.
42:02If I lose my breath, I'll call you.
42:15Graceful.
42:18Braving the North Sea for a bit of salad.
42:23Now, that's what I call going the extra mile
42:25for one of your five a day.
42:28There you go.
42:29I like to do plenty lower.
42:30Whey!
42:31Whey!
42:33Brown gold!
42:34Right, I want to see you eat that, McGuinness.
42:36Try a piece of this.
42:37Doesn't smell much, does it?
42:39Quite slimy.
42:40Yeah, it's a little bit slimy.
42:41Yeah, yeah.
42:46Cheers.
42:47Cheers.
42:51Safe to say, the seaweed jury is definitely out.
42:57I've got to say, that is challenging,
42:59because as you chew it,
43:00more of that sticky stuff comes out of it.
43:03White slime in the back.
43:04Then you get the slightly fishy taste.
43:06It's amazing.
43:07It's not very salty.
43:08I thought it was going to be really overpowering with salt,
43:11but it's not.
43:15So, Cassandra, tell us about the sort of,
43:18why this is good for you.
43:20What's in it?
43:21Yeah, we have a lot of vitamins.
43:23Yeah.
43:24Yeah, we have vitamin C,
43:25and we have vitamin B12.
43:27Some minerals.
43:28It includes that as well.
43:36Fresh foods next on the menu.
43:39Cooked up by local chef Juergen,
43:41with, you've guessed it, a drizzle of seaweed.
43:45Oh, look at this, Pad.
43:46This is amazing.
43:48Even the wine's made with the stuff.
43:51Oh, that's lovely.
43:52Juergen, is everything local produce?
43:55Everything is locally produced, yes.
43:57Oh, yes.
43:58So, the oysters out the sea,
44:01langoustines out the sea.
44:02Wild picked.
44:03Normally, Pad, they talk about food miles.
44:05This is food yards.
44:06It's there.
44:07It's there.
44:09Look at this.
44:10I'm not a very adventurous eater.
44:12Chris loves these.
44:13I've never had one in my life.
44:15This will be my first ever time I've tried an oyster.
44:18If you cook, they change flavour.
44:20It's good.
44:21I'm having mine cooked.
44:22I'll try a cooked one.
44:23I'll try a cooked one.
44:24I've never had one.
44:25Smoked seaweed butter.
44:27Oh.
44:28You are a changed man.
44:29I'm so proud of you.
44:31So proud of you.
44:32First oyster.
44:33Go on.
44:34Just shove it down your gutter.
44:35That'll all slide out.
44:36Well, maybe give it a bit of help.
44:48It's no fish finger.
44:51Oh, my.
44:52The expert.
44:53Go on, that's good.
44:54It's always what they say.
44:55No, they're supposed to be an aphrodisiac.
44:57Yeah.
44:58I've always thought you were an attractive man.
45:00Is it?
45:02Shall I feed you an asparagus?
45:08And here we have the dessert.
45:10It's seaweed candy.
45:12And in Swedish, it's called sockerkaka.
45:16Very easy.
45:17Sorry, what's it called again?
45:19Sockerkaka.
45:21Can you try it?
45:22He's had an oyster.
45:24Okay, let's just call it cake.
45:26Okay, let's move on.
45:27It's like a sugar cake.
45:30What a lovely picnic this is.
45:32It's the best lunch ever.
45:34Oh, my word.
45:36And then you have the seaweed candy.
45:38It's really nice.
45:42So you can use the seaweed in many ways.
45:44It's really fantastic.
45:46That, for me, I have got a sweet tooth.
45:48This candied seaweed with the cake is unbelievably good.
45:54That is really good.
45:56That's cake made out of seaweed, isn't it?
45:58No, it's just cake.
46:00Fair enough.
46:08After eating more seaweed than we ever have in our lives,
46:11and probably ever will again, a beer's in order.
46:14So we're heading north to a scenic spot
46:16where I've arranged a nice surprise for Paddy.
46:19Bit more rural this now, Pad.
46:21Yeah.
46:23Feels like we're moving into the territory
46:25of the kind of Nordic murder mystery.
46:28Oh, this is gorgeous.
46:30They've got bears up here.
46:32We're out in the woods.
46:34Well, you've booked it, not me.
46:36It's always good to know what might eat you.
46:38Sweden's largest predator, the brown bear.
46:41Right, here we go.
46:43Can weigh up to 350kg.
46:45Wow.
46:46The lynx is the largest cat animal in Europe
46:49and the third largest predator in Sweden
46:51after the brown bear and the wolf.
46:54Bear, wolf, lynx.
46:56Old rascal.
46:57A more high-flying predator is the golden eagle.
47:00Oh, that's not going to bother you, is it?
47:02Have you seen the size of that?
47:04Although it could come down for you thinking that's an egg.
47:07Try and sit on your head.
47:09Try and hatch you.
47:11Try and hatch you.
47:30Tonight's hot spot is one of Sweden's most picturesque lakes.
47:34It's the perfect place for a sundowner with my mate Pat.
47:38There we go. Look at this.
47:40Now, I know what you're going to say, OK?
47:45That's right, Chris, we've still not found a pub.
47:48Just trust me, OK?
47:50Where's your adventure spirit?
47:52You are going to love this.
47:54Oh, life jacket's on. Very nice.
47:58Don't say I don't treat you.
48:01We are at one with nature.
48:06Feel that breeze?
48:08Yeah. Chilling.
48:10This lake is about 50km long, Pat.
48:13Bloody hell.
48:18And here comes our spectacular destination.
48:21A floating shed.
48:23Our own little private cabin for two.
48:27Two middle-aged men drinking beer in a shed.
48:32I could have done that in Bolton.
48:34You're beginning to get the scale of this.
48:37The nearer we get, it's still the same size.
48:39Normally, as you get near things, they grow bigger, don't they?
48:42This is still small.
48:44Right, come on, let's go. Special service for you there, Pat.
48:47Thank you, sir.
48:48Now, let's have a look round.
48:50Don't go far.
48:52Come on, Pat, look at this.
48:54Ah! Yeah, that works.
48:56Why do we do that?
48:58You always do that on a new bed, don't you?
49:00Right, come and have a beer.
49:02Oh, now you're talking.
49:05Well, I've been to a lot of beer gardens,
49:08but none of them have a view like this.
49:13Cheers.
49:15Ah!
49:16Breathe, love, sleep.
49:20Where's the toilet?
49:22THEY LAUGH
49:35It's our final day in Sweden,
49:39and our adventure isn't quite over yet.
49:43We're heading further north into the wilderness,
49:46where we've set ourselves a challenge.
49:49We've gathered inspirational Swedish health tips,
49:53and we're going to live them in a free-loves-live kind of way.
49:57Come on!
49:59And what does this involve?
50:01Nothing less than a bespoke mini-midlife triathlon.
50:05We'll kayak, hike, swim,
50:08and, of course, have a beer.
50:10Cheers.
50:12Cheers.
50:14Cheers.
50:16Our mini-midlife triathlon will kayak, hike and swim
50:20to a remote island, all in the name of health and happiness.
50:24Hello, I'm Chris. Pontus. Nice, Pontus. Paddy, nice to meet you.
50:28Local guide Pontus is helping us crack the first leg.
50:32Just glad to get out there and put everything we've learned
50:35this week into practice.
50:37The tricky thing is Chris at one end of the canoe,
50:40just front of the boat like that.
50:42But other than that, all good.
50:47It's very pleasant.
50:49Hey, we've got a good rhythm going here, son. We have.
50:52But why can't you go a bit harder?
50:54Oh, do you want me to go harder? Yes.
50:56All right, you just told me not to go as hard.
50:58That's it. No, that's good. No harder than that. We're good.
51:01All right, OK. No, you're going too hard now.
51:04Oh, my God! Do you want me to go hard or something?
51:07It's like my bloody honeymoon, this.
51:09Good work, guys.
51:12Do you know, looking at your arse from this angle...
51:15Yeah. ..is...
51:17..a joy.
51:18Probably one of the hardest things I've had to endure this week.
51:24Next, it's a climb through dense forest
51:27with some bespoke walking sticks.
51:29Have you got a thicker branch for Chris's stick?
51:32I think that might buckle. Thank you, I like that.
51:35Look at the size of that pad.
51:38This is what it's all about.
51:41This reminds me of the Rocky 4 training montage.
51:44Yes. Guys, we're here.
51:47There we go. Oh, beautiful.
51:49Good work.
51:51So, the idea is that I leave you now.
51:54We are on the top there,
51:56and you should keep it in that direction.
51:59And then we're going to go down.
52:02And you should keep it in that direction
52:05and head straight down there.
52:08Right. OK? OK.
52:11From here on in, we're on our own.
52:23Take it steady downhill, please, Patrick.
52:25Yeah. Slow and steady wins the race.
52:28Oh, this is tricky.
52:32Going downhill, if you notice, as you get older,
52:34you make involuntary noises.
52:36So everything's got an ooh or an ah or a ooh.
52:39It's the knees, isn't it, as you're going downhill?
52:42Right. Patrick? Yeah?
52:44There is an animal dropping there.
52:46Quite a big animal.
52:48What's the problem?
52:50It means that there's a large animal on this island.
52:52I'm looking at it. Let's go.
52:56You just think this has been here for thousands of years.
53:01Even a little pat as you go past.
53:03It's thousands of years old and it's got more hair on its head than you.
53:06Look at that. A little pat.
53:08Male rock boldness.
53:11I've got an ant in my shoe now.
53:13It won't last long in there.
53:15Do you know, it's something about, isn't there,
53:17getting out with your mates in this kind of scenery.
53:21It is good. It's good for the soul. I know it is.
53:24Also, talking rubbish. Just bobbins.
53:28I love talking bobbins, Pat.
53:30I've made a career out of it.
53:33Oh, sugar.
53:35Be careful. Are you all right?
53:37What was that?
53:38Ground.
53:40Getting a bit dense now, Chris.
53:44Wow.
53:46How long do you think these trees have been here?
53:50Hundreds, aren't they?
53:52Hundreds of years, probably.
53:55I think I can see a little bit of water through the clearing up there.
53:59Oh, yes.
54:06Oh, look at that.
54:09That's a sight for sore eyes.
54:13Quite steep down there, Pat.
54:14It is steep, isn't it, actually. Bloody hell.
54:16I can spot the signs of a campfire through there.
54:19Oh, lovely.
54:20Can you see it?
54:22But between that and us is a body of water, Patrick.
54:26Chris's keen powers of observation
54:29tee up the next part of the endurance test.
54:32An ice-cold swim.
54:34Oh, no. Covered a kid's eyes.
54:36Little treat for you there, Pat.
54:38Let's do it.
54:40Hey, it's a bit slippy, Chris.
54:43Shit.
54:47That is really...
54:48Oh, that's cold.
54:49Oh.
55:10Right.
55:11Better prepare ourselves for that Daniel Craig exit.
55:15Oh, yeah.
55:17Oh, right.
55:18Get the music going.
55:26He's a bit like that.
55:28Yeah.
55:30But he looks like...
55:35He's out of breath.
55:36Has he got little booties on as well?
55:38Oh.
55:41That's enjoyable.
55:43Oh, look at that.
55:44Lovely.
55:45Absolutely glorious, Pat.
55:49Three lifts, love!
55:52Three lifts, love!
56:08Oh, that's nice now, isn't it?
56:12Look at this.
56:15Oh, that's nice.
56:16This will warm us up a bit.
56:18Some Nordic fire water.
56:20That smells lovely.
56:24This is lovely, isn't it?
56:26It's gorgeous, Pat.
56:27Hey, skål.
56:28Skål.
56:29Skål.
56:35Have you nicked all that?
56:38You could run a car on that, Pat.
56:40That's good gear.
56:42I enjoyed that swim.
56:44I've seen a different side to both of us on this trip.
56:47It's been amazing.
56:49And it's such a beautiful place.
56:51It's so calming.
56:52But I think I've took little bits of everything we've done,
56:55from the boys at the sauna,
56:57the ice hockey team,
56:58the seaweed,
57:00this today.
57:01I agree.
57:02This week's taught me.
57:03Get outside more.
57:04Yeah.
57:05Eat well.
57:06Chat.
57:07Chat, yeah.
57:08Swim.
57:09Yeah.
57:10You can turn things round.
57:21Look at that.
57:22He's pulling me in, the lad.
57:32I think you've kind of...
57:34Something's sort of flicked in your mind, hasn't it?
57:37Outdoors is the key thing as well for me.
57:39I think there's something in here.
57:40There's a chip in everyone.
57:41We were born out here, originally.
57:44And Sweden is the best place for that, that I've come across.
57:47You don't have to be a gym person.
57:49It's about finding what you love doing.
57:53One question for you.
57:54Yeah.
57:56When we're, like, 70, 80 years old,
57:58will gravity do to us what it did to them?
58:01In the sauna?
58:02Yeah.
58:04I'm hoping by then they might be like,
58:06you know, like, you can have Botox.
58:08Yeah.
58:09Scrotox.
58:10That should sort them right out.
58:13Sign me up.
58:17See that there?
58:18That's the island of Ikaria.
58:20The island of longevity.
58:21Yamas. Yamas.
58:23One in three people live to the 90s.
58:25What is the secret?
58:27I had about one second dork story in my life, really.
58:30Look at it.
58:31It's about half a boil, right?
58:33See where the big jugs are?
58:35I beg your pardon?
58:36I can't hold on.
58:37This is the only way to travel.
58:39Ikaria, baby!
59:07IKARIA
