01:03city to the rest of the country remained blocked by landslides.

01:26As rainfall began to slow on Sunday, rescue efforts got underway.
01:31Authorities have pulled dozens of bodies from vehicles buried under landslides and uncovered
01:36people trapped under rubble.
01:44At least 3,600 people have been rescued, but dozens remain missing.
01:50More than 5,000 police officers are involved in the efforts, using rafts and helicopters
01:55to reach people who need help.
02:06And people are cleaning up their houses and belongings.
