00:00They are thousands fleeing the Israeli strikes on Lebanon and heading to Syria.
00:05The lucky ones were able to load their personal belongings onto a vehicle.
00:09Others don't even have the essentials like the necessary paperwork to cross the border,
00:14such as the case of Faisal and his family, who had fled to Lebanon five years ago.
00:19There was an airstrike that hit my home and I lost everything inside, I lost my identification
00:27documents and the money, around 5,000 US dollars and all other documents of my family were
00:32burned to ashes.
00:34My family and I survived the airstrike.
00:37The vast majority of those crossing the border are Syrian refugees who had come to Lebanon
00:41in search of a better life, but now find themselves having to pack up again.
00:46I came to Lebanon to work four years ago and I was making a good living, but all of a sudden
00:51the war broke out and we decided to return to Syria, although the situation in Syria
00:55is also bad.
00:56And fleeing with them are many Lebanese nationals forced out of their homes by the relentless
01:01airstrikes and left with nowhere to go.
01:05At that time the bombing started and were increasing gradually.
01:10That night and during the whole day the airstrikes were intensive and unstoppable.
01:14They were targeting every place including civilian homes, destroying the roads.
01:19No place was spared.
01:21The Lebanese Prime Minister says the Israeli attacks may have forced up to one million
01:25people to flee parts of the country, calling it the largest displacement movement that
01:30may have happened in the history of Lebanon.
01:33Some have found refuge in public squares and beaches in the centre of Beirut, but uncertain
01:38for how long they will be safe there.
