00:00Wahbi Mohamed, a man born in Somalia who aided the plot to blow up the London underground.
00:06Akindoyin Akinchipe, born in Nigeria, who raped a 13-year-old girl.
00:12Murad Mustafawi, an Algerian who recruited for ISIS in Edinburgh.
00:18A Ugandan, who we only know as ZM, who beat a man to death in the back of an ambulance in London.
00:25What do these men have in common?
00:27They're just a few of the people the European Court of Human Rights has stopped us from deporting.
00:33The court is also why illegal migration is out of control.
00:38It's created an arsenal of rights for illegal migrants that are used to gum up our courts and prevent their removal.
00:45Our special forces are killing rather than capturing terrorists,
00:49because our lawyers tell us that if they're caught, the European Court will set them free.
00:55The court is telling the Swiss to change their net zero policy because the court doesn't think it goes far enough.
01:01After the war, we helped European countries craft a convention of basic rights
01:06to help ensure there was no repetition of its horrors.
01:10The right to life, liberty and a fair trial.
01:14These were noble aims, but it all started to go wrong in the 1970s
01:19when the court decided the convention was a living document.
01:23The convention has been twisted out of all recognition.
01:27Churchill signed up to a right to family life, not to keep terrorists on our streets.
01:33As the former Supreme Court judge Lord Sumption has said,
01:36the court is now making laws for us, and they're laws we don't want.
01:42So what should we do?
01:44We can't ignore the court. We're a common law nation.
01:47Our courts ultimately have to follow their judgments.
01:50Blocking out parts of the convention isn't an answer either.
01:53You can't derogate from Articles 2, 3 or 4, the very articles that most immigration cases rely on.
02:01What about reforming the convention?
02:03Well, that would require the unanimity of 46 member states.
02:08That's a fantasy.
02:10So the choice is leave or remain.
02:14Leave and get foreign terrorists and criminals off our streets.
02:18End illegal migration.
02:20Finish what Brexit started and restore sovereignty to our people and our parliament.
02:25And the nation of Magna Carta, Habeas Corpus, the Bill of Rights,
02:29protecting and enhancing our own freedoms.
02:32Or remain and let the madness continue.
02:35So I'm for leave.
02:37What about you?
