Lammy warns of risk of escalation in Lebanon

Foreign secretary David Lammy calls for ceasefires in Lebanon and Gaza and urges Israel and Iran to avoid the risk of a regional war in the Middle East. He said: “At this time, none of us want to see a regional escalation. None of us want a return to the years in which Israel found itself bogged down in a quagmire in southern Lebanon and pitched battles between Israeli soldiers and of course the Lebanese side.” Report by Covellm.
