00:00Some landslides have been recorded in the Dominican Hill, Baguio City following the storm Hulian.

00:07The government's assistance was also dispatched.

00:11This is the story of Janice Deniz.

00:17In the aftermath of the storm Hulian, the soil formed on the Diplomat Road in Barangay Dominican Mirador, Baguio City.

00:26Four structures were affected in the formation of the soil, including a transient house.

00:32Jessica has been a caretaker in the transient house for 18 years, but only now landslides have occurred in the area.

00:39It's a good thing that there were no visitors when the incident happened.

00:44Yesterday evening, it started to rain.

00:47Then in the morning, I noticed that the soil was moving.

00:53At 3.50 a.m., before 4 p.m., our wall suddenly split.

00:57The reason for the incident is that the landslide hit the area, causing the drainage to overflow.

01:04Ma'am, there's a construction going on below that building.

01:10So maybe when they didn't expect the storm to come,

01:18According to a short investigation yesterday, that's when it started.

01:24Meanwhile, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, and Mountain Province were affected by Hurricane Hulian.

01:34More than 1,000 families were affected by the construction of almost 32,000 individuals.

01:41Two houses were totally damaged, while three were partially damaged in Cordillera.

01:47The DSWD and LGUs provided immediate assistance to those affected.

01:53According to the DPWH, all national roads and bridges in Abra, Ifugao, and Baguio City are now passable.

02:03But there are several road sections in Apayau, Benguet, Mountain Province, and Calinga that are not yet passable due to the incident of the landslide.

02:13Clearing operations are already underway by the agency for the affected roads.

02:19In Barangay Di Pilat, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, the bridge is no longer passable after it collapsed due to the strong flow of water.

02:28Rescue operations were carried out by members of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, Bureau of Fire Protection,

02:36and local rescue groups to the residents affected by the floods and heavy rains in Lawag City, Batac City, Pauay, and other areas in the province.

02:47As for those affected by the landslide, Governor Mathew Marcos Manotoc was the first to provide relief packs to various evacuation centers.

02:57The DSWD has already sent additional family food packs to local governments in the Ilocos region,

03:05which were immediately distributed to the families affected by the landslide.
