00:00In boxing, Tinay Olympian boxer Nesty Petetio

00:03has started to look for new talents

00:07because he plans to build a boxing gym in his hometown in Davao, Del Sur.

00:12That's the story of Isabel Reyes.

00:16Nesty Petetio is a 32-year-old Filipino boxing sensation

00:19and one of the successful athletes who gave back to his countrymen

00:23the blessings he received.

00:25Like 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Heidelin Diaz

00:28who built his own weightlifting gym in Rizal and Buanga.

00:32Petetio also plans to build a first fully equipped boxing training center

00:36in his hometown in Santa Cruz, Davao, Del Sur.

00:39In the PTV Sports interview, Petetio said that

00:42if the gym he said would be successful,

00:44it will give opportunities to all aspiring athletes in their area,

00:49especially to athletes who want to use the sport

00:51as a way to get out of poverty.

00:54The gym I'm dreaming of building will be successful.

00:58For the first time, if I will be given a sponsor or someone to help me,

01:04I will be very happy if it will happen in Davao, Del Sur, in my area.

01:09Petetio also said that this is also one of the dreams of his father, Teodoro,

01:14where the gym he said will help a lot

01:17for the students taught by his father.

01:20I hope that it will be realized, that it will happen because that was my first plan.

01:26That's what my father wanted for a long time and now I can see their support.

01:30That's what I want so that I can start sharing my knowledge to the youth there

01:37because my father already started so he already has about 20 or more athletes.

01:43Petetio was able to return to the gym this October

01:46to prepare for the Asian Games and Southeast Asian Games next year
