00:00The publishing company agent who was involved in the DepEd Textbook Scam is said to have been dead for three decades.

00:10He was released because his lawyer was willing to give up his life for the case, but he was arrested.

00:23This is the video of the actual arrest of the NBI in the case of Jessica Francisco for the Estafa case.

00:29They received a tip that this Francisco is actually Mary Ann Maslog, a publishing company agent who was involved in a bigger case,

00:39the 24 million pesos textbook scam in the Department of Education.

00:44It has been three decades.

00:59It was confirmed that Francisco is Maslog after comparing the fingerprints.

01:04After thorough comparison and analysis, we got 14 identical reads characteristics.

01:11We are now 100% sure that Mary Ann Evans Basa Tupa Smith, also known as Mary Ann Maslog, and Jessica Cece Francisco are one and the same person.

01:26Maslog seemed to be alive from the death.

01:29In the records of Sandigan Bayan, his lawyer declared that he was already dead.

01:35That's why he was declared dead by the court and he was acquitted in the Graft case.

01:40His two co-accused DepEd officials were sentenced to 10 years in prison

01:47because of breaching the document of the Department of Budget to be paid by Maslog's company in 1998.

01:54Our Sandigan Bayan believed that she's already dead.

01:58She was not involved in the decision.

02:01Only those two were convicted.

02:03Illegal use of alias and falsification is the only thing that the NBI can accuse Maslog of.
