00:17In 2020, an application was sent to get a social pension for Nancy, who is now 64 years old.

00:25But four years have passed, and she still hasn't submitted her application.

00:31That's the personal that was sent to the Receipt Caravan Service in June.

00:36The Department of Social Welfare and Development is happy with the GMA Action Center.

00:40I've been waiting for my social pension for four years.

00:48Six thousand pesos of social pension should be received by qualified senior citizens every six months.

01:30so that she can at least be assessed if we have a validation schedule.

01:34For the public's knowledge, it's not automatic for senior citizens to receive social pensions.

01:40The DSWD's Regional Social Pension Section examines the qualifications.

01:47You should be a senior citizen.

01:49Seek freely and with disability.

01:51You should not receive a pension from SSS, GSIS, PIVO or any other pension from the government agency.

01:59Third, you should not receive support from your relatives or your children.

02:06Fourth, you should not have a regular income.

02:09After receiving the caravan service, Nancy underwent assessment and validation.

02:15Good news, because she is qualified to receive social pension and she is in the final process of eligibility check.

02:23She will be given a notice on when and where she can receive her pension.
