00:15Audrey, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration

00:22the Philippine Area of Responsibility or PAR is about to release Hurricane Julián.

00:28But the signal No. 1 is still high here in Patanes and Babuyan Islands

00:34because they are still hit by Hurricane Julián even though it is heading to Taiwan.

00:40Added by the Hydrometeorology Division, Flood Forecasting and Warning Section or HMVFFWS of Pag-asa

00:51they are still preparing for the possible effect of heavy rain.

00:56Two were confirmed to be in Ilocos Norte, one from Lawag City and Batac City, and one from Santa Ana, Cagayan.

01:05Currently, Patanes is still in a state of calamity according to Governor Marilu Caico

01:10with an estimated damage of Php 611 million.

01:14Communication in the area is still limited due to the damaged infrastructure.

01:19The DICT, Batanes Provincial Office, called for the availability of three Starlink for the internet.

01:27The Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD also helped with more than Php 9 million

01:34for more than 21,000 people.

01:37Meanwhile, according to Juan Elmer Karingal of HMVFFWS,

01:42in Mindanao, because of moderate to heavy rains,

01:45the residents of Carraga, Davao, and Sok Sarje are being warned to prepare for flooding.

01:53We have a different system, this is the easterlies that is affecting the Mindanao area.

02:01So far, we are also providing advisory here in Carraga and Davao region.

02:07So, we expect that flooding will be possible again in these areas.
