00:00I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, in the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
00:30I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, in the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
01:00I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, in the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
01:21As you know that I have studied in England and I am not proficient in Urdu.
01:33So I hope that if there are any mistakes in this speech, you will ignore them.
01:42I gave my last public Urdu speech in Kishanganj, India, where there were more than 10 lakh people.
01:54And after 12 years, I am giving a public speech in Urdu.
02:05So it is possible that there will be mistakes in my speech in Urdu.
02:16I apologize for that.
02:18Today, I am very happy that I am on the land of Pakistan.
02:31It was my wish for many years that I come to Pakistan to give a speech.
02:4333 years ago, in 1991, I came for a personal visit.
02:52But today, for the first time, I have come for a public speech at the invitation of the government of Pakistan.
03:03And for the last 2-3 days, I am feeling very happy.
03:14And I hope that through this lecture, I will feel a lot of knowledge and brotherhood.
03:29Inshallah.
03:35Today's speech is about media and its importance.
03:45In my opinion, the media is the most dangerous weapon in today's history.
03:59In my opinion, the media is the most dangerous weapon in today's history.
04:08It can convert black into white, day into night.
04:12It can turn black into white and vice versa.
04:15It can turn a hero into a villain and vice versa.
04:20And in today's international media, we see that there is propaganda against Islam.
04:33In our international media, whether it is an international newspaper, an international magazine,
04:40an international satellite channel, an international website, an international social media,
04:50we see that every day, misunderstandings against Islam are being spread.
04:58As far as the media is concerned, we Muslims are very expert in entertainment media.
05:11Bollywood, where I am from, I was born in Bombay, is called Bollywood.
05:20It is a city where the most number of films are made every year.
05:29And Bollywood is being controlled by Muslims.
05:39Be it an actor or a producer.
05:42It is a pity that we are experts in entertainment media.
05:53We will see that we are experts in Arabic media as well.
05:57But as far as Islamic media is concerned, we Muslims are mischievous, backward and weak.
06:08Why?
06:12When we do business, we have great offices, great cars, great equipment.
06:22For entertainment media, we have the best cameras in the world.
06:26But to present the religion, to spread the message of Allah,
06:34the technology we use is very weak.
06:40We will often see, when it is an Islamic satellite channel,
06:46I call their camera a toy camera, a toy camera.
06:52Those who use bandwidth, often,
06:56a religious Islamic channel, 2 megabits, 3 megabits.
07:01Some channels have 1.5 megabits.
07:03Some channels have 1.5 megabits.
07:06One satellite channel or two.
07:09Sometimes three or four.
07:12The graphics we use are so weak,
07:17that if someone watches television, they can turn it off in three or four minutes.
07:22From this point of view, in 2005,
07:31I thought, why not establish an Islamic satellite channel,
07:38which is according to international standards.
07:52Peace TV English
07:58We established Peace TV English in 2006, in January.
08:06Our standard was not an Islamic satellite channel,
08:11but the best satellite channel,
08:15Star TV, the top entertainment channel.
08:18Keeping that in mind, we established a satellite channel.
08:26And our graphics were as good as the entertainment media used to be.
08:34And we used the best camera of the broadcast industry at that time,
08:472005-2006, the best camera was the digital beta cam.
08:52We used that camera.
08:55And by the grace of Allah, in a few years,
08:59Alhamdulillah, Peace TV English became the most watched Islamic channel in the world.
09:15And its viewers were 100 million.
09:20Alhamdulillah.
09:25Our Peace TV English,
09:28we used 10 megabits.
09:32Approximately 3-4 or 5 Islamic satellite channels in one Peace TV.
09:40Its quality,
09:43because this is the hadith of our Prophet,
09:46Allah said,
09:49Whatever you do,
09:52do the best.
09:55Allah likes those who are the best.
09:59So when we are spreading the religion,
10:02why don't we use the best equipment,
10:07the best bandwidth.
10:10And our satellite channel, Peace TV English,
10:12we had 15 satellites.
10:15Not 1, not 2, not 3, 15 satellites.
10:22In 2009, we established another satellite channel, Peace TV Urdu,
10:27whose viewership, Alhamdulillah, is 80 million.
10:34In 2011, we established Peace TV Bangla,
10:38whose viewership is 5 million.
10:44And in 2015, we established Peace TV Chinese,
10:50whose viewership is 2 million, Alhamdulillah.
10:58If we want our children, our family,
11:04if we don't see the wrong things,
11:10which our religion says is wrong,
11:14then we need to give them a good alternative.
11:18If we use a thing of weak quality,
11:25to spread the religion,
11:28then how will we impress people?
11:31We should give such quality,
11:34that if people turn on the TV,
11:36they won't change the channel.
11:42In 2015, our policy was
11:48to use the best cameras for the broadcast industry.
11:52We changed that.
11:55I said, we won't use the best cameras for the broadcast industry.
12:01The best cameras for the broadcast industry,
12:04at that time, were high definition.
12:06In 2015.
12:09I said, from 2015,
12:13we will start using the best cameras for the film industry.
12:20And in 2015,
12:23we started using Sony's F56, F65, F55,
12:29which were the world's best 8K cameras,
12:33which were used for the film industry.
12:37Sony was surprised,
12:40that which person is using a film camera for television?
12:45Is he mad?
12:47And people thought I was mad.
12:49So, Sony invited me to Japan.
12:52And asked me,
12:54no one in the world uses a film camera for television.
12:59What is your motive?
13:01Do you have more money?
13:05Because at that time,
13:08one camera, along with lens,
13:14was worth 250,000 dollars.
13:17250,000 dollars for one camera.
13:20Approximately 7 crores.
13:22One camera.
13:25So, Sony asked me,
13:27why?
13:29What is your motive?
13:32The 8K film camera,
13:34that you are using for television,
13:37you cannot even broadcast it.
13:40So, I told them,
13:42when you buy the best broadcast camera,
13:47you can use it for 4 or 5 years.
13:53After that, it becomes obsolete.
13:56After 4 or 5 years,
13:58its quality,
14:00according to the technology,
14:02becomes weak.
14:05And all the channels,
14:07news media for example,
14:09the news that is shown,
14:11after 1 or 2 days,
14:13its value becomes zero.
14:14The entertainment media,
14:16be it Star TV or Zee News,
14:18the drama that is made,
14:20when it telecasts for the first time,
14:22the money that you get from advertising,
14:24after that,
14:26the value of the program becomes very low.
14:28So, the shelf life
14:30of the entertainment production
14:32is very little.
14:35The main objective of the entertainment media
14:38is to make a program today,
14:40earn money,
14:41and after that,
14:43keep the program aside.
14:45But we,
14:49who record the speeches of the scholars,
14:56the speeches of those scholars,
15:00are not enough for just 4 or 5 years.
15:03Our great religious scholars,
15:06after their death,
15:08after their death,
15:10with their knowledge,
15:13the way we benefit,
15:16the way we,
15:19with their knowledge,
15:21we can take advantage of it.
15:23So, when we shoot,
15:26we shoot in the best quality of film camera,
15:29we downgrade it to HD.
15:33We record in 8K,
15:35but that original recording,
15:36we can use it for 60 to 70 years.
15:41For how many years?
15:4460 to 70 years.
15:50And if a businessman comes to me and asks,
15:53such an expensive camera,
15:55a camera worth 7 crores,
15:57then I tell him,
15:59our satellite channel,
16:0115 satellite channels,
16:03hundreds of people are working,
16:06the entire budget,
16:08you see,
16:10because of buying this excellent camera,
16:12my budget only increases by 3% annually.
16:15How much?
16:173%.
16:20Because my salary is the same,
16:22my salary is the same,
16:24the cost of the satellite is the same,
16:27only the cost of the equipment has increased.
16:29So, I am spending 3% more,
16:31or it can be 4%,
16:32but I save the recording of the program
16:36for 60 to 70 years.
16:42So, who is a good businessman?
16:49The Ahmed Deedat sir,
16:51who was impressed by Ahmed Deedat sir,
16:53and I left my medical profession
16:57and took up the profession of a doctor,
16:59his speeches,
17:01it is very difficult to show them on Peace TV,
17:04so what I did,
17:06I bought heavy equipment,
17:08to upgrade his 200 hours,
17:11I spent 1 billion dollars,
17:1310 crores,
17:15and still,
17:17I put a sticker on Peace TV,
17:19quality very poor,
17:21because at that time,
17:23Deedat sir had used the best cameras,
17:26but the broadcast industry,
17:27not the film industry,
17:33but it is a pity that
17:35when I migrated from India,
17:37we had 18 cameras,
17:41when we migrated,
17:44the government seized all the cameras,
17:49which was wrong,
17:51they could have taken a computer
17:53or a hard disk to enquire,
17:55what would they get from the camera,
17:58but by the grace of Allah,
18:01even after the migration,
18:04we continued the Dawah work,
18:07but,
18:09there is a good thing,
18:11that a few months ago,
18:13we,
18:15because,
18:17we migrated in 2016,
18:19it has been 8 years now,
18:21so the technology has increased,
18:23so a few months ago,
18:24we bought the best film cameras of this era,
18:28Alhamdulillah,
18:32one camera,
18:34its lens,
18:36its camera,
18:38its stand,
18:40cost 3 lakh dollars,
18:42one camera,
18:45approximately 9 crores,
18:47one camera only,
18:50and,
18:52we bought 10 cameras,
18:54and by the grace of Allah,
18:56our equipment is going to land today,
18:58in Kalachi,
19:00this will be the first tour,
19:02this will be the first lecture tour of this new equipment,
19:05which by the grace of Allah,
19:07we will record in the high end,
19:10in today's date,
19:12it is 8.6k,
19:16we did not know that today,
19:18my lecture is going to happen,
19:20this is unscheduled,
19:21we came in the love of the Governor,
19:27this is our original lecture,
19:29on 5th and 6th,
19:31and I want to give you the good news,
19:34that the lecture which is going to happen,
19:36on Saturday and Sunday,
19:38on 5th and 6th,
19:40we have changed the venue,
19:42and right now,
19:44there will be invitees in this Governor's house,
19:46and the grounds behind,
19:48of Baghej Jinnah,
19:49Insha'Allah,
19:51we have changed the venue,
19:53and on 5th and 6th,
19:55we will be in this ground,
19:57Insha'Allah,
20:00and I hope that,
20:02with this new equipment,
20:05we will try,
20:07that the program which is going to be recorded,
20:10we will protect it,
20:12in the best way possible,
20:15when we see that the ground is big,
20:16we wanted to add 3-4 more cameras,
20:19but in Pakistan,
20:21this camera is not available,
20:25so it is possible that we will hire lower quality cameras,
20:29we want to record with 16 or 15 cameras,
20:33why am I telling you this?
20:36I am saying this because,
20:38if you want to do something for the religion,
20:41if you want to do something for the religion,
20:45then use the best equipment,
20:53people often say that they have Rolls Royce,
21:00they have Lamborghini,
21:03this camera is my Rolls Royce,
21:06this camera is my Rolls Royce,
21:10this is my Lamborghini,
21:13if you drive a Rolls Royce,
21:15it will be difficult to enter paradise,
21:18you will have to pay for it,
21:20but if you use this Ongina lens and Sony Venice 2 camera for the religion,
21:26then I hope that,
21:28you will get entry easily,
21:30so because we started using the best technology,
21:39and this Peace TV started spreading,
21:43as soon as Peace TV started spreading,
21:46so whenever you do something good,
21:50and people start loving you,
21:54so along with that, the opposition also starts increasing,
21:59and the way Peace TV started spreading,
22:03and when the number of audience started increasing for my speech,
22:09so many countries started banning my entry,
22:18but,
22:20my point here is,
22:22my point here is,
22:24that you should use the best equipment for the work of the religion,
22:31and in today's date,
22:33according to me,
22:35in the media,
22:37the media and technology that is changing,
22:40the best one is the satellite channel,
22:46we have the print media also,
22:49which has its advantages and disadvantages,
22:52it is a waste of time,
22:54we have the audio media,
22:56we have the video media,
22:58now social media is expanding,
23:00social media,
23:02and social media,
23:04satellite media,
23:06God willing,
23:08I haven't over taken it yet,
23:10but God willing,
23:12we will do it,
23:14so we Muslims,
23:16should learn,
23:17how we can use social media,
23:21to spread our religion,
23:24in today's date,
23:26through the satellite,
23:28it is spreading worse,
23:30but it is good,
23:32in today's social media,
23:34it is spreading worse,
23:36but it is good,
23:39television is not bad,
23:41social media is not bad,
23:43it is haram to misuse social media,
23:47but if we use this social media,
23:50in the right way,
23:56and if we spread the message of Allah,
24:00the message of our last prophet,
24:04then this can be a way to heaven,
24:07for us in the hereafter,
24:12today we see,
24:14our children,
24:17are glued to their mobile phones,
24:21glued to their computer screens,
24:24on social media,
24:26we can't say, don't look,
24:29some children may listen to you,
24:32but most of them won't,
24:34so we should give a substitute,
24:36to this social media,
24:39the way our children,
24:42are influenced by this,
24:44and come closer to our religion,
24:48it is a pity,
24:52that often,
24:54in our madrasas,
24:56or in our Islamic organizations,
24:58we are not taught,
25:00how to use social media,
25:05many years ago,
25:08I came to know,
25:10about,
25:125 or 8 years ago,
25:14that in Jamia Minori,
25:17Mashallah,
25:19these people,
25:22train the youth,
25:24how to use social media,
25:27and I was very happy,
25:32and it is a matter of joy,
25:34that only the Islamic organizations,
25:36started this in Islamic madrasas,
25:39and now it is spreading,
25:40it started in other madrasas,
25:42it started in Madrasas of India,
25:44so my request is,
25:46how to use different social media,
25:48we should know,
25:50what is the difference,
25:52between Facebook and Instagram,
25:54on today's date,
25:56Facebook is the most watched social media,
25:58almost 3 billion people,
26:00are using it,
26:02and it is spreading,
26:04it is spreading,
26:06and it is spreading,
26:08and it is spreading,
26:113 billion,
26:14people are using it,
26:17on number 2,
26:19YouTube,
26:212.65 billion,
26:23on number 3,
26:25Whatsapp,
26:272.5 billion,
26:29then Instagram,
26:312.45 billion,
26:33then TikTok,
26:35and the list is long,
26:37we should know,
26:38how technology is used,
26:40what is the benefit of Instagram,
26:42what is the benefit of Whatsapp,
26:45but I repeat again,
26:47all these social media,
26:49are more harmful than Halal,
26:53so we should use these social media,
26:56so that,
26:58we,
27:00can spread the message of our religion,
27:04by the grace of Allah,
27:05by the grace of Allah,
27:07Alhamdulillah,
27:09on my Facebook,
27:11there are almost 24 million,
27:132.4 billion followers,
27:16Mashallah,
27:22but,
27:24as the technology increases,
27:26and they start to know,
27:28that you are doing the work of Islam,
27:30they shadow ban you,
27:32shadow ban means,
27:33they don't let your followers increase,
27:38or they let them increase very less,
27:41when we started,
27:43my Facebook was banned,
27:45so in 2013,
27:47we started again,
27:494 million in one year,
27:518 million in the second year,
27:5312 million in the third year,
27:55and average,
27:574 million increase in every year,
27:59but after 2017,
28:011 million in one year,
28:032 million in the third year,
28:05this is called shadow banning,
28:07shadow ban means,
28:09they put a spanner in your growth,
28:14means,
28:16they have algorithms,
28:18how can they,
28:21stop your growth,
28:24earlier, when we used to release on YouTube,
28:29Mashallah,
28:3150 thousand,
28:33today,
28:352000,
28:37but,
28:39because,
28:41there is no copyright in any of my programs,
28:43so the same speech,
28:45which is on my channel,
28:472000-3000,
28:49on the other channels,
28:51it is 5 lakhs, 6 lakhs,
28:53Mashallah,
28:55its viewership,
28:57so we should use a different technology,
28:59how can we spread it,
29:00the reality is,
29:02the technology,
29:04the media,
29:06is mostly in the hands of the Jews,
29:09Allah has given us,
29:11black gold,
29:13Muslims,
29:15in my opinion,
29:17the richest people in the world,
29:19are Muslims,
29:22Allah has given them black gold,
29:24petrol,
29:26if we use it properly,
29:28inshallah,
29:30we can control the media,
29:32but,
29:34we waste our money,
29:36on wrong things,
29:39if,
29:41and,
29:43because of the lack of time,
29:45there is a new technology,
29:47it is called AI,
29:49Artificial Intelligence,
29:51the topic of media is so big,
29:53that even if we talk all day,
29:55it is less,
29:57I will say it in English,
29:59but it is a late technology,
30:01AI,
30:03Artificial Intelligence,
30:05through which,
30:07if you ask any question,
30:09you will get the answer,
30:11the graphics were so difficult,
30:13now it is easy,
30:15if you want to copy something,
30:17it is easy,
30:19if you want to produce something,
30:21it is easy,
30:23it has many benefits,
30:25and the latest is coming,
30:27it is a matter of time,
30:29but,
30:31we Muslims,
30:33are not researching,
30:35on AI,
30:37not at all,
30:39not at all,
30:44if we research on AI,
30:46and,
30:48use it in the right way,
30:50then,
30:52a better tool than this,
30:54a better tool than AI,
30:55a better tool than AI,
30:57you will not get to spread religion,
