02:29Out near the front and you have to imagine lucas kooner who's sitting fifth is going to join this party very quickly
02:34Anstey getting alongside webb. He's going to drop down the inside
02:39On a bit of an off balance there for webb allows anstey to go through anstey now up in the second place
02:44yeah, and I think for webb it's really important to try to walk on to the rear of anstey just

03:08Lucas coonan he's closing in on dwarf who's all over the back of webb

03:15But lucas coonan just sees red when he looks at kind of wolf
03:18He wants to get up there and pass the wolf up to third with that move on the american

03:30And look at lucas coonan closing in on cooper webb as well jumps long goes down the inside

03:48Lucas coonan has been absolutely pretty much unstoppable the second half of the season hasn't he race wins grand prix victories

04:26Anstey is really starting to find himself in smx, but these other two have been battling for a world championship all summer
04:31They're coming in like it's another race on a saturday afternoon
04:34And that's the key isn't it treating it like another race if you can but not easy coming from the u.s
04:39We've just had 31 races. The last three will be in smx on the back end of outdoor protocols
04:45Yeah, and you know that I think it's easy to say well this and that and think of it as an excuse
04:51There are no excuses at the motocross of nations
04:54You just try to give reasons why you see riders pull away and where he may be losing time
04:58Those are the things you try to sort out going into sunday, though
05:01Webb will be able to go back look at film watch
05:03Where he's a little bit slower try to understand why he wasn't as comfortable on the bike going in on a saturday
05:08Some of it will be setting some of it is just a really difficult racetrack on a saturday afternoon
05:13So all is not lost. I think one of the most important factors there is webb got a good start
05:17Which will really serve him well on sunday if he can replicate that just taking him out
05:22Just looking at the timing screen here the number five of kyle webster who fell from second on the opening lap
05:26He's in 14th place 14 australia, of course santa laurence was fourth in race one
05:31So as it stands right now if you count all of your results
05:35France go to the top of the group on four with a third from roman fevra
05:39And a one with tom biel at the moment the netherlands
05:42Move up to eight with a fifth and a third that fifth from hurlings and a third from dwarf here in orange at the moment

05:50To third because aurea olivaire is ninth. So that's giving them 10 points
05:54So you can see how quickly this competition changes and the belgians at the moment with lukas koonen
06:01They've moved themselves up to 11th. It was 19th after brent bandonic in race one

06:08Bialik turned in a 203 the last lap around this lap was a 204 which are still
06:12Right at the best lap time on the racetrack. So he's kind of sending a message here

06:19Now it comes into the likes of dewulf and lukas koonen battling for that same, right?

06:42That's the tough part. So i'll show you has a team that can win this event overall, right?
06:46But you need all three riders to participate at the top level to get that done
06:51So that is that's the impetus for webster now jet and hunter gonna have to do their part, but a crash like that
06:57Tomorrow won't get it done. That will not win this event. Yeah, I like to wolf here in a moment
07:01He's uh found some nice lines bottom end of the circuit top end of the circuit
07:05And he uses them to good effect as he finds his way past the wolf

07:29And then watch him today completely different rider. He doesn't have the pressure that he had last week

08:44He stayed at the very top of the rut stayed light and was able to get squirt right through there and ansty was none the wiser
08:50Just looking a little bit further down the order mcclellan is six for south africa
08:53The german langenfeld is seven olivier of spain eight the italian adamo nine. Yokoyama is ten for japan
08:59Mikulov czech republic is up to 11th head of uh, hara for denmark tonus of switzerland is in 13th place
09:06Then we got the 47th of bernardo eto to burcio
09:11But brazil he's next in 14th and benjamin garib of the uh of chile then sandler leon connelly
09:18So he's fallen down the order as well. That's a nice little double now. He's turning into a double
09:22Yeah, he took prado's line and basically as the track developed turned it into a little step up which
09:28The key there is that he's allowed to drive down the downside
09:31Of that landing and push forward into that corner
09:33Especially on a 250 being able to carry that momentum and not have that bounce back is really important top
09:38Right if you're screened langenfeld are trying to get around the outside of camden mcclellan these two fighting over fifth place
09:45mcclellan hanging on in there at the moment
09:49Where are the uh, they're 23rd at the moment they're heading for the b final but they were 30
09:5433rd or 34th after the first race. Yeah, they need every position for mcclellan right now
10:00Yeah, 36 actually they were so the last four teams unclassified
10:08No web loss between these two so you can expect coonan to give everything he has to try to make a move
10:14when you think when you talk about turning, uh
10:16Certain situations into positives you can look at it go lucas coon and he'll be annoyed that he's there in third place
10:22But then he'll come back and he'll say right

11:31So they had been preparing for this event coming in. He knew they would be ready and uh, he's showing up so far

11:50It was a french one two, which pretty much sealed the deal for the french in that middle race
11:55But the way that he caught his teammate that day
11:58Was uh impressive. Yeah, and I think that's what surprised so many people this summer
12:02Is he wasn't able to harness that all the time hayden deegan simply had the best of them
12:07Most of the time and bialik was he was his own worst enemy at times threw away race wins crashed
12:12But then you watch him at a race like this weekend and you understand why people expected him to come in
12:17And be a champion already and nothing's decided. Maybe he still will be one day in pro motocross
12:22But the uh, the question will be where is this type of performance in the usa?
12:27Well, just a little bit of deja vu here between dwarf and coon and as we've seen on this side of the pond all year

13:31So he's trying to get himself back up into contention
13:34He's now up to 19th place the australian and uh, what does that do that puts him about ninth of the grid at the moment?
13:41The langenfelder is up to fifth. He's found his way past camden mcclellan as the wolf continues to be harassed by his teammate

15:56Up to second the gap between him and vial is only four seconds with just under four minutes plus two to go

16:05Normally, you'd expect the team belgium to say you know what you're safe in second position, but you're not that safe

17:36Yeah, just rattled or maybe the bike has bent up. You never never really know. Yeah, especially after that, uh, four actually

17:45Because he went down he cross ruts and went down on the right side
17:48Maybe those bars are pulled over to the right hand side
17:50Nothing worse when you're trying to follow a either the front fender that's going the wrong way
17:54You're trying to keep yourself straight and the bars are already 45 degrees
17:57Yeah, you have to tilt a certain direction to go straight on a track like this

18:16This is a fantastic performance from lucas coon and I don't care where you are from in the world
18:20He is one of the most exciting riders we've seen in a long time
18:23And he is shining right here on the biggest stage of all. Yeah, this is the guy he's always looking for a fight
18:29He's always looking for trouble. There is not a situation
18:31He's gonna settle or any of those things in you know
18:34I remember seeing some of his first interviews ever it was either
18:38I would rather crash than not win, right?
18:39I just want to win and their intermediate sectors. He lost a full second in sector two. So i'm not sure what happened there
18:48But anyway, can he
18:50React and uh sort of pick himself back up or as lucas coon
18:53And now that he's got that carrot in front of him just gonna go. You know what i'm on it

20:41So if this is the best they've got guess what bragging rights are on me, you know, maybe yeah
20:46And honestly, but you don't know until you get into this scenario this event. It's a different kind of event
20:50yeah, and hayden deegan needed surgery, right we all know why he's not here, but uh
20:55I love that about this get the best of both sides of the world and let's duke it out and see who's truly best

23:06You see when you felt her leaning on that inside as well, but the track got slower as the day went on but
23:11If you tell me that a guy like lucas koonin starts inside the top five tomorrow afternoon the combined motos
23:16I think he could be in the fight because I don't know that he could beat jorge prado
23:20But uh battling inside the top three all day would not surprise me
23:24So vial on his last lap it was six seconds as they hit the line kuna backing off
23:28It's now almost nine seconds langenfelder great ride for him
23:32He's there in third anstey fourth about three and a half seconds further back that brings their team gb
