00:00The scale of this tractor is hard to believe, even when you're standing next to it.
00:07I couldn't believe it. We drove in and just went, oh my gosh, like it was just amazing.
00:11At 11.5 metres tall and 16 metres long, it's high enough for a four-wheel drive to travel
00:17underneath it. Built in Geraldton and sent piece by piece in 18 truckloads. Over the
00:23space of a week, cranes were used to install the tractor in Carnamar, 300 kilometres north
00:28of Perth. The town of about 400 people swelled by thousands, keen to see the monument celebrating
00:35WA agriculture.
00:36I think Carnamar is really very excited about it and I know that there's surrounding districts
00:41that are really excited about this and I am aware that there are people coming from large
00:46areas across WA to actually be here today.
00:49The tractor was the long-held dream of 84-year-old Bob Lukens, who put the wheels in motion nearly
00:55three decades ago.
00:57I've got to cut the ribbon and when I've, when I cut that ribbon, I only hope I can
01:03keep the tears back because that's the emotion I'm feeling.
01:07The tractor is a replica of a Chamberlain 40K, the first Chamberlain model manufactured
01:12in WA. Every component measured to be exactly five times the size of the original.
01:18It's more so seeing everyone else, all the old fellas that actually drove these machines,
01:24the smiles on their faces and what it actually means to them to, yeah, see something like
01:29this because they spent their lives driving them.
01:32Locals don't quite know how many tourists to expect the big tractor will bring to this
01:37sweet belt town, but news of the fate has travelled worldwide, even going viral on social
01:42media app TikTok. Now well and truly putting Carnamar on the map for lovers of farming
01:47and big things.
