00:00I'm really proud of us, you know, I'm so proud of, I'm so proud of my wife.
00:06Welcome to Ms Mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the best times famous
00:11faces went to bat for their significant other in interviews.
00:15What truly made me fall in love with Barack Obama, now here's the secret.
00:20Get in a little closer.
00:23Number 10, Jason Sudeikis on Olivia Wilde.
00:26It's weird and you know, it's funny, it's a weird funny experience.
00:32Even though they aren't together anymore, Hollywood couple Sudeikis and Wilde began
00:36dating in 2011, and during their relationship, they had two children.
00:41In 2014, Wilde had a photo shoot with Glamour that drew controversy from some,
00:47as she was snapped breastfeeding her son.
00:49He came to work and I had to feed him and either I was going to do it off camera or
00:53on and I thought, you know what, shoot it because this is part of my real life.
00:55While critics got weird about it, Sudeikis stuck up for his partner during an interview
01:00with Access Hollywood, calling the image as one of a quote, working mom and quote, great.
01:06The Ted Lasso star said it wasn't planned.
01:08Their son just needed feeding as the shoot was going on.
01:11Sudeikis also defused the situation by pointing out their kid had peed all over a designer
01:16dress, which received little reaction in comparison.
01:20I heard Otis may or may not have ruined that gorgeous dress.
01:22Yes, yes, he christened it.
01:24He did.
01:25Number 9.
01:26Kristen Bell on Dax Shepard.
01:28After starting dating in 2007, Bell and Shepard famously refused to get married until same-sex
01:34couples in California were able to.
01:36It doesn't boil down to anything other than if someone else wants to commit their life
01:41to another person, why would I not bolster that argument?
01:45Eventually, they tied the knot in 2013 and had two kids.
01:49Jumping forward to 2017, the duo was starring in Chips,
01:53which Shepard directed and wrote.
01:55However, there was criticism that the film was homophobic and sexist.
01:59Hey.
02:00Hey, what's up?
02:02I'm right in the middle of giving a swim lesson.
02:03Oh, sorry.
02:04Bell spoke to the Associated Press about the accusations.
02:08She stated the point of Chips was to explore such themes.
02:11The Good Place alumni also claimed that Shepard was the quote,
02:15most unhomophobic person you could ever find,
02:18as Bell alluded to why they delayed their 2013 marriage.
02:21We're not going to have a party and invite our friends,
02:25half of whom can't do that thing.
02:27We're not going to ask them to come celebrate a right they don't have.
02:30That's just tacky.
02:32Number eight, Robert Pattinson on FKA Twigs.
02:35Since becoming a star after Twilight and the fallout from dating Kristen Stewart,
02:40Pattinson's love life has been a fascination of fans and the media.
02:44He's totally gorgeous, obviously, but apparently nobody here is good enough for him.
02:50I don't think I care.
02:52In 2014, he began dating FKA Twigs, and the duo soon got engaged.
02:58Sadly, some people took this as an opportunity to make racist comments about her.
03:09In 2015, Pattinson spoke to NME, and the topic was brought up.
03:14He called people who send such comments, quote, demons who live in basements.
03:18He also told a story about telling his dad that if they looked up
03:21Nelson Mandela's funeral on YouTube, one of the top comments would be racist, and it was.
03:27Pattinson added that due to these people being a, quote,
03:31faceless blob, battling them only draws more attention to their hatred.
03:35I think it's just professional trolls.
03:37Well, not that professional, but it's just people,
03:39they get so addicted to kind of just wanting to cause hurt and pain on someone,
03:43and it's sort of, and it's just one of the most difficult things to know how to,
03:47how to confront really.
03:48Number seven, Hugh Jackman on Deborah Lee Furness.
03:52Deb knows how to live life to the full, every day.
03:55Don't you, babe?
03:57I try.
03:57Before announcing their separation in 2023,
04:00Jackman and Furness seemed like a fairy tale marriage from the outside.
04:04They broke the mold of the man being the eldest when there's an age gap,
04:08with Furness being almost 13 years older.
04:11Were you reluctant?
04:12So reluctant.
04:14My new year's resolution was I'm not dating any actors,
04:16and definitely none under 30.
04:18Make my husband.
04:19Yet rather than celebrate this, some people took shots at their marriage.
04:23In 2013, Jackman spoke about rumors he was gay
04:26by stating to The Hollywood Reporter that it, quote,
04:29bugs his wife.
04:30With good housekeeping, he commented he felt sorry for the people who believed the rumor,
04:35and that he worries for Furness.
04:37Over the years, the Logan actor has praised Furness in many interviews,
04:41even calling her the greatest thing that ever happened to him
04:44when speaking to Ellen DeGeneres in 2016.
04:47It gets better and better, I can honestly say that.
04:49And she's not even watching, she's not even here.
04:51Number 6.
04:52Javier Bardem on Penelope Cruz.
04:54Yo creo que va a llover más tarde. Llover seguro.
04:57In English.
04:58Oh no, it's fine.
05:00After working together during filming for 2008's Vicky Cristina Barcelona,
05:05Bardem and Cruz soon began dating, got married in 2010, and had two children.
05:10The acting powerhouses have worked together on several projects over the years.
05:14In 2018, during a press conference for Everybody Knows,
05:18one reporter decided a sexist joke was appropriate.
05:27Yikes.
05:28After taking a moment to absorb the audacity and shake his head, Bardem, in Spanish,
05:34responded that the question was in extremely bad taste,
05:37getting a round of applause from those in the audience.
05:40La pregunta es de una falta de gusto tremenda.
05:47Number 5.
05:48Pierce Brosnan on Keighley Shaye Smith.
05:50After losing his first wife, Cassandra Harris, to cancer in 1991, Brosnan met Smith in 1994.
05:57The duo married in 2001 and had two sons together.
06:01Having family life, having movie life, getting away with it all, and just having a great time.
06:06How many kids do you have now?
06:08Five.
06:11It's a long story.
06:12It's a long story, but it's a good one, right?
06:14It's a good one.
06:15Over the years, while the Irish actor has been praised for aging,
06:19some trolls have taken shots at Smith.
06:21This sparked Brosnan to defend his wife on social media,
06:24criticizing friends and fans who've body shamed her.
06:28In various interviews, the former James Bond performer has praised Smith as a partner and parent.
06:34She's a journalist, she's a reporter, she's an artist in her own right,
06:38and as a woman she has, you know, made a family for our sons, our family, many boys.
06:46In 2023, when speaking to Fox News,
06:49he implicitly referenced those ridiculous comments about her looks.
06:54He mentioned that regardless of people changing appearances over the years from
06:58age or weight, it's the love in their hearts that counts.
07:01Watching someone grow up with you and grow old with you
07:06is a very spiritual journey.
07:08It's very, to watch each other change and, you know, whatever it may be,
07:13the hair, the waist, but it's the love in the heart.
07:17Number four, Michelle Obama and Barack Obama.
07:20See, the thing about campaigning is that I get to say all these nice things about my husband
07:26and he doesn't always hear it.
07:28So don't tell him how much I really love him.
07:31In 2012, the U.S. was gripped by the presidential election.
07:35Looking for his second term was Barack,
07:37who was attempting to fend off Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
07:41However, during their first debate, Barack seemingly struggled
07:45and was criticized for his performance.
07:47So the first lady, Michelle, stuck up for her husband.
07:50You see this in, you know, how he leads the country.
07:54I mean, he is very open to other people's opinions
07:58and he's always willing to compromise and he is always, always listening.
08:02Married since 1992 and having two children,
08:06she stated during a roundtable meeting that Barack had done a phenomenal job in the debate
08:10and during his first term.
08:12Michelle also pointed out that on the day following the debate,
08:16they went to a rally with 35,000 people in Madison, Wisconsin,
08:20showing how unbothered they and his supporters were with the criticism.
08:24I believe in you.
08:26I'm asking you to keep believing in me.
08:28I'm asking for your vote and if you stand with me and work with me,
08:33we will win Madison again.
08:35We'll win Wisconsin again.
08:37We'll finish what we started in 2008.
08:40Number three, Charlie Hunnam on Morgana McNellis.
08:43Thankfully, I have an incredible girlfriend who's very, very understanding and supportive.
08:48Fan jealousy can get really ugly.
08:51Since 2005, Hunnam has been dating McNellis.
08:54I've been with my girlfriend 11 years and as anyone knows,
08:57it's been a long-term, fully monogamous relationship.
09:01During a 2012 Elle interview, he praised her jewelry work and promoted her company.
09:07In 2016, Hunnam had to speak against apparent fans of his on social media.
09:12They had made a habit of insulting McNellis over things like her appearance.
09:16On his Facebook fan page, the actor asked them to stop slandering McNellis and praised her.
09:22Hunnam followed the post with a video to confirm he had posted the message.
09:26In 2020, after stating he was indifferent to marriage, Hunnam apologized to McNellis
09:31during an interview with TooFab for hurting her feelings with his previous comments on Tying the Knot.
09:36I suppose what I was trying to articulate is like,
09:40the official government sanction of it doesn't mean anything to me,
09:43but the romance of it means an enormous amount.
09:47I really regret saying that.
09:48Number two, Justin Theroux on Jennifer Aniston.
09:52In 2016, Aniston released an essay with the Huffington Post
09:56that criticized the media for body shaming her, as well as defending child-free women.
10:01Just because we're women, we have a uterus, we have a vagina, we have ovaries,
10:05we need to like get to work lady, as opposed to, hello, freedom metal.
10:11We as women do a lot of incredible things in this world, other than just.
10:18One of her biggest supporters was her then-husband Theroux.
10:21After dating in 2011, the two got married in 2015.
10:25Does she look that good tonight?
10:26Yeah, she does.
10:27Is she inside?
10:28She's inside. She made it in.
10:30Darn it.
10:30I know.
10:31Why didn't she come?
10:33I can show you that she's wearing something amazing.
10:35On top of supporting the essay on Instagram, during an interview with Men's Health,
10:40Theroux stated he was very proud of Aniston, and called the shaming, quote,
10:44disgusting. The same year, in the wake of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's split announcement,
10:50Theroux told the Sunday Times Magazine he was very proud of how she handled the media attention.
10:56Even after they separated, Theroux still spoke highly of Aniston,
11:00even telling the Times in 2024 that he was still protective over her.
11:04I just adored him. I just, he was an easy person to talk with and
11:09he was just a good, a really good, became a good friend.

11:28Number 1. Prince Harry on Meghan Markle
11:31In 2021, Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview that not only shocked
11:36the world with bombshell revelations, but also showed just how much they mean to each other.
11:42Do you think in some way she saved you?
11:49Yeah, with, without question. There was, there was a bigger purpose. There was
11:54other forces at play, I think, throughout this whole process.
11:57After starting to date in 2016, they got married in 2018 and have had two children together.
12:04Over the years, Harry has released several statements to defend Meghan against racist
12:09comments. Due to the intense media attention and issues with the UK royal family,
12:14they moved out of England.
12:15I took matters, and by that point I took matters into my own hands. It was like,
12:20I need to do this for my family. This is not a surprise to anybody. It's really sad that
12:25it's got to this point, but I've got to do something for my own mental health, for my wife's,
12:31and for Archie's as well.
12:32In this famous interview, the couple addressed the speculation and put their side out.
12:37Alongside standing in support as Meghan spoke about her mental health, Harry stated that she,
12:42quote, saved him from that life, while she argued that he did that for her.
12:46He ultimately called it and was like, we've got to find a way for us, for Archie,
12:55and you made a decision that saved, well, certainly saved my life.
12:59What's a time a celebrity defended their significant other that warms your heart?
13:03Let us know in the comments.
13:04If I was not with Deb the last 20 years, I'd be a very boring person.
