Actress Adah Sharma shares insights about her upcoming series Rita Sanyal. Speaking on the occasion, she mentioned that, "Rita is a budding lawyer who initially handles small cases, but when she takes on a high-profile political case, she has to go undercover in disguise." Adah also spoke about her passion for action films, highlighting that she got to perform action sequences in this series as well. When asked about the portrayal of women in Indian cinema, Adah expressed, "Indian cinema is evolving, and roles like this are ones every actress would love to play." 00:10show have very strong, powerful roles. Yes, Rita is very glamorous but like I said

00:16if you are doing a court scene then I am going in a lawyer's outfit.

00:23She is a very glamorous character. I haven't played maybe such a glamorous

00:28character in too many things that I've done. Like I said, glamour depends again

00:32on your definition of glamour. I don't think there's some unnecessary

00:37skin show or something like that happening. However, the character that I am playing in Rita

00:43is a prostitute. So, I am trying my best to look like an authentic escort woman.

00:50I had to wear a fat suit for that to look glamorous because I can't put on 140 kilos

01:05overnight and they didn't even give me that much time for that.

01:08But I found her to be very glamorous. She is actually one of my favourite characters

01:13in the show. She is Juhi Krishnan, the food inspector.

01:18In my saree, we had to wear a whole fat suit. So, I've just tried to stick to the character.

01:23If you want to look glamorous, I think it's a very good thing.

01:27Unnecessarily, I don't think there's anything but I think that's for the audience to decide.

01:36I think Simple Sweet Girl was a Kerala story where I am a college girl, I am very innocent

01:41and I get trapped in it. Of course, the action was not... I mean, I could have like punched

01:49somebody in the face and all which I could in real life but we didn't use it there.

01:54I am very vulnerable and naive. In Bastar, of course, I am a tough soldier.

01:59I am fighting a war. So, there was action there. But I think Bastar's action and Commando's action,

02:05if you compare, was very different. In wars, you fight with guns.

02:10And Commando's action is hand-to-hand combat. You know those choreographies like...

02:15So, it looks... It's almost like dancing because you learn these punches, kicks and stuff like that

02:22which is similar to the action that I also do. There's a little bit of action that I'm doing in

02:25Rita. Not a little bit. There's a lot of action with nunchucks and stuff.

02:30So, I enjoy doing all sorts of roles. From what I get, I pick and choose.

02:36Sunflower had no action. I'm a bar dancer. So, the only action I had was dancing in the bar.

02:44So, I try with each of my roles to pick different things. I love all genres.

02:53To be honest, my next thing that I'm doing is not a legal thing. Like I said, I'm trying

02:57different roles which you haven't seen. But I enjoy doing the legal scenes here.

03:03I enjoyed giving like you know those... In section, this, this, this. It says this,

03:08this. I don't remember those lines right now. But I have like these long monologues,

03:13fighting for justice, putting my point across,

03:16being so affirmative about things. I enjoyed it a lot.

03:25There's actually like a lot of exciting stuff happening. But I'm someone who...

03:29I would like the production to announce it and then we speak about it. Like Rita,

03:33when we know it's releasing with a date, then I like to talk about a project and say that

03:3714th October, Rita Sanyal is releasing. I think from the Kerala story, I got that

03:44habit and I liked that the trailer came and then we can say it's releasing in 10 days.

03:50Then no one can ban it.

03:52I would love to actually. I have judged the Telugu version. I was a judge on it of Dance

03:57India Dance. I mean, it's the same format as Dance India Dance. That was fun. So yeah,

04:03why not? I think it would be nice if someone thinks I'm able.
