00:00I think usually we do different films or different shows so that we can play different characters but I was able to play all the characters in one show so I think I am very lucky.
00:18So many accents, so many looks, so many characters in one girl.
00:23So Rita is a lawyer, I mean she is a budding lawyer. She is currently doing some small cases but then she wants to do something big and she gets a big political case to do.
00:44So she is doing that and to win that case she chooses the path of truth but for that she has to go through a lot of ups and downs and she doesn't know how she is going to solve it so she goes into these disguises.
00:59In one she is honey trapping someone, in another she is a fish seller, in another she is a waitress, if you watch the show you will see that she is a food inspector. So there are different girls in Rita so I hope people will enjoy it.
01:17So this show, we all are very real, we talk normally like we talk in our daily life but the situations are a little larger than life.
01:31Like our villains in the show, they are like Acid Anna, Magnet Meena, there are such type of villains and the situations are real, like the lawyer's situation or the case she is fighting, they are actual real life situations.
01:47So maybe to bridge a gap with humour as well as all this but I like reading comic books and watching Marvel films, Avengers and all. I like watching superhero movies so I think that was my inspiration because Rita is almost like a superhero.
02:05Like I said, she has different skills in different clothes and the situation she is in, she is always outsmarting it, most of the times. But she also makes mistakes, she is human and I think drawing that line, now you will watch the show and you tell me how did you like it?
02:24I think it will have to change in real life before shows can change it. I think movies and shows are just a representation of our society, maybe a slightly glamourized version of your society but maybe if there is a change in society but I also believe it is both interconnected.
02:45If shows and films do a good representation then maybe society can get inspired because whatever you say, people do get inspired by movies and characters that they watch on screen even if they are different from the actor but people do get influenced.
03:00So Rita promises only a dramatized version, it is not reality. Rita Sanyal is a fictional show, like I said it is larger than life. If you watch a superhero movie, you can't say that a person can't fly, how did this person fly at the angle of 42? You don't.
03:23You see somebody flying and you say, yes, he is a superhero, he flew. Or you see a superhero who has become an ant and that ant is entering somewhere or you are seeing that a superhero can burst himself into flames, then you think that no, this person can't do it. So Rita Sanyal will have to be seen as if you are watching a comic book or a superhero movie and then you will like it.
03:46However, the law scenes we have done like a proper law court, there is a court of law, we are fighting proper cases but we are promising you it is not going to be close to reality, it is completely fictional. If you want to see reality then watch Kerala Story or Bastar.
