Having everything in one place
We all know that having data for your business in one place is better than having to hunt for what you need in a bunch of tools, apps and service that isn’t efficient. So why are some still use Post-it notes for important information?!

00:00There are some weird things you find on the internet anything from Flat Earth to whatever else tinfoil wearing hat stuff.
00:08Actually, I found something today that posted on my Twitter, but I found something on LinkedIn that bothered me and it annoyed me.
00:17I'm not going to put a link to or anything.
00:20But basically there were there was a poll that was asking about how people tracked information notes and stuff and most people wrote down.
00:35They put it in their calendar.
00:37Okay, that makes sense.
00:38Many put down post-it notes.
00:44That was the thing that annoyed me not not the other things the post-it note thing annoyed me because you should have one place to put everything if you have a bunch of post-it notes everywhere.
00:55How are you keeping track of it?
00:57If you're out of the office to take a picture of the wall or the space where all your post-it notes are and hopefully you can find it in that tiny little screen that you have on your phone.
01:10It's a stupid idea, but many did put that down and I've seen it before in the past as well with some of my clients when we change them over to actually doing things properly.
01:23They're happy with it.
01:24But using post-it notes is the worst idea ever.
01:30If you're taking a simple note that you need for that moment.
01:33That's a different thing.
01:34But if you're trying to track information, it's idiotic.
01:40It just is so again having everything in one place is great.
01:45But post-it notes isn't that one place.
01:47You should have I've said this before single source of truth where you can go to that one place and actually have access to everything whether it's client information project details or your tasks your calendar your email.
02:03The emails that you're dealing with your clients and projects.
02:07I mean just everything or your opportunities your leads obviously that there are different apps that do that kind of stuff.
02:18But choosing an app choosing a system where everything is in one place is way better than having bits of paper information different notes all over the place.
02:31Now I have been speaking about post-it notes, which is an analog thing, but many do the same thing with their computer.
02:38They have two task managers and three calendars and it's just a complete mess.
02:45It just annoys me because I because this is what I do.
02:48Right?
02:49If you go to a garage with your bad car, they get annoyed with you.
02:52So it's the same thing with me with with technology.
02:55I just find it fascinating how people can say I will use post-it notes to keep track of stuff long term.
03:05It's crazy to me.
03:06It makes no sense.
03:08So having everything in one place, I think digitally, especially if you're running a business, you have to have it digitally, especially if you're working with a team, you can't have post-it notes everywhere.
