00:00Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo will be accepted by the Commission of Elections if she receives a Certificate of Candidacy.

00:07A congressman has admitted that Guo withdrew a large amount of money before freezing her bank accounts.

00:14Jonathan Andal has this report.

00:20Almost Php 200 million in bank accounts and more than Php 500,000,000 in real estate properties and vehicles.

00:29Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo's properties were frozen by the Court of Appeals until January 2025.

00:35However, Guo withdrew a large amount of money before freezing her bank accounts

00:40according to the congressman who sponsored the AMLOC or Anti-Money Laundering Council budget.

00:44Prior to the issuance of the freeze order,

00:48AMLOC saw that there were large series of withdrawals in the bank accounts.

00:56Maybe they already anticipated it, so they took the lead by withdrawing their cash in different banks

01:04plus disposing several properties at a lower price.

01:08The Commission of Elections said that they will accept Guo's Candidacy,

01:12but they will still allow her to run, especially the punishment from her ombudsman

01:17as long as she is no longer allowed to serve the government.

01:20If a person is perpetually disqualified to hold public office

01:25because the office of the ombudsman has a decision,

01:28we will cancel her candidacy.

01:31Even if that person is appealed to the Court of Appeals,

01:35unless the Court of Appeals issues a TRO to her case in the office of the ombudsman.

01:41We tried to get a statement from Guo, but there was no response.

01:44It was only until December that POGOs in the country were surprised

01:48that a POGO with a license was still hiring employees,

01:52just like the last POGO hub they raided in Pasay that was involved in the Love Scam.

01:56When we raided it, we only got new entrants.

02:02They have no intention of leaving.

02:05And while the election was approaching, POGOs started a fight against POGO politics.
