00:10from a former employee went public.
00:13According to NBC News, a hairstylist and makeup artist
00:16who previously worked for Brooks and his wife,
00:18Trisha Yearwood, filed a lawsuit on October 3rd,
00:21accusing him of unwanted sexual conduct,
00:24including rape, groping, lewd text messages,
00:27and exposing himself on multiple occasions.
00:30The woman, identified as Jane Rowe,
00:33claims that the inappropriate behavior started in 2019
00:36when she went to Brooks' home on a styling appointment
00:39and allegedly found him coming out of the shower naked
00:42and asking her to perform oral acts.
00:45Rowe claims she refused but continued working for Brooks.
00:49She further alleges that Brooks raped her
00:51on a work trip to Los Angeles that May
00:53and claims that the trauma from the alleged incident
00:56was so unbearable she contemplated suicide.
00:59Rowe also claims that Brooks continued
01:01the alleged inappropriate behavior
01:03despite her trying to ward him off.
01:05She eventually stopped working for him
01:07and moved to Mississippi.
01:09Brooks denied the allegations in a lengthy statement
01:11to Access Hollywood and has claimed
01:13that Rowe is allegedly seeking, quote, hush money.
01:17The artist's statement confirmed that he had previously
01:19filed an anonymous complaint against Rowe in September
01:22to, quote, speak out against alleged, quote,
01:24extortion and defamation of character.
01:27Brooks was scheduled to perform at Caesars Palace
01:29the same day the lawsuit was filed
01:31and he acknowledged his intent to, quote,
01:33play music tonight and continue our good deeds going forward.
01:37After wrapping his Caesars Palace show,
01:39Brooks posted an Instagram photo from the venue
01:41and shared gratitude for the crowd's support,
01:44writing in his caption,
01:46if there was ever a night that I really needed this,
01:48tonight was the night.
