00:00Jax Taylor has new divorce papers against Brittany Cartwright.
00:04With the help of an attorney this time, Jax has submitted an amended desolation of marriage
00:09request filed in Los Angeles on October 3rd.
00:13This happened one day after the reality star's rep told E! News that their client had quote
00:19made errors in filling out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals
00:24and that they would be amended.
00:26In Jax's original documents, which he had submitted himself last month in response to
00:31his estranged wife's original petition, he had checked a box that stated that he and
00:36Brittany were never legally married.
00:38The new petition, obtained by E! News, does not note this.
00:42And Brittany did react to the error on social media, writing under E! News' Instagram post
00:48about the situation,
00:49We are legally married.
00:51I'm guessing paperwork is hard for some people.
00:54Additionally, while Jax checked other boxes in his previous divorce filing that stated
00:59he wanted Brittany to receive legal and physical custody of their son Cruz, his amended document
01:05includes requests for the two to be granted joint legal custody of the three-year-old
01:09with visitation rights for Jax.
01:12Brittany filed for divorce from Jax in August, six months after they announced their split
01:17following five years of marriage.
01:19And since their separation, Brittany has occasionally spoken about her and Jax's split and its effect
01:25on their son, telling E! News in September that she and her ex were co-parenting Cruz.
01:30Obviously, we're both going to put him first.
01:33It's going to be fine no matter what, because we both love him so much.
01:37So even if Jax and I are fighting, it's not going to ever come between Cruz.
01:42It's never going to be a thing.
01:49It's never going to be a thing.
