00:00I have to say, like, one thing I noticed is that, remember, they went on the road and
00:10won in a hostile environment.
00:12You talked about it.
00:13But Missouri hadn't been on the road yet.
00:15So I think they're a lot better football team, frankly, than what I saw on Saturday.
00:21That was a team that went on the road and laid an egg.
00:25And obviously A&M played fantastic.
00:27I thought Moss was incredible.
00:29We'll talk about him, but let's face facts.
00:32It is brutal to go on the road in the SEC, and it's brutal to play your first road game
00:39in a place like Kyle Field.
00:41Like Notre Dame pulled it off, but they're not in the SEC.
00:44It's tough in conference to go on the road and win a game in anything like Big Ten, Big
00:5112, SEC, ACC.
00:55I don't care what it is.
00:56Those road games are brutal.
00:59Could not agree with you more.
01:00I totally agree.
01:01And you have to be, you actually have to be better on the road than you are at home.
01:05And for Missouri, they're going to learn some things about themselves.
01:09And I have total confidence that Eli Drinkwicz will say, hey, okay, guys, this is what we
01:14did.
01:15That's not us.
01:16How do we get better?
01:17It's the only thing you can do after a loss.
01:19And that's Notre Dame.
01:21Here's the beauty of Notre Dame coming in.
01:23Notre Dame has played under Marcus Freeman.
01:26They've played under Al Golden, especially that defense.
01:29And they have been comfortable together.
01:32What I'm watching with Mike Elko in this Jay Bateman defense is getting comfortable together
01:38now through six weeks.
01:40There's still a way to go.
01:41There's still a way to, they're not a finished product yet.
01:44It reminds me of Mike being here in 2018 under Jimbo Fisher as the defensive coordinator.
01:50There's an awful lot that he installed.
01:52Even he says, we were better in 2019 than we were in 2018.
01:56Doesn't mean you can't get better over the course of the season.
01:59And I asked Mike, is this a team that can do that over the course of the season?
02:03And he says, you're seeing that.
02:05Scott, I think the other thing is, when you come into a program, you've got to address
02:09what you have, and you've got to address the deficiencies.
02:13And not only just address the deficiencies, you've got to correct those.
02:17And that's what I think Mike Elko was able to do.
02:20When you correct those deficiencies, the offensive line is better.
02:24The defensive line is a monster.
02:26And the back end on defense is better.
02:28And that's what's showing up this season.
