00:00Hey, Scott, Week 12 in college football now in the books, a great slate of games once
00:08again.
00:09Here are my observations before we look ahead to Week 13.
00:12First off, I think of the four schools most likely to get a bye in the college football
00:18playoff, I'm beginning to think that Texas might be the most overrated.
00:23This past Saturday, 20 to 10 over Arkansas, it's an average SEC team.
00:29They struggled, had a hard time getting going offensively, and when we look at the schedule
00:34of Texas, which of their wins now is impressive, Scott?
00:38It was supposed to be Michigan in September.
00:40Michigan has been awful.
00:43It was supposed to be Oklahoma in early October.
00:46Oklahoma is struggling to get to bowl eligibility.
00:50And then the one big game, the one current opponent that is ranked Georgia at home,
00:55they get beat bad, 30 to 15.
00:58So I'm concerned about Texas and what lies ahead for the Longhorns if they can't turn
01:04things around.
01:05Now, second observation, Colorado just steamrolling through the schedule, blown away by what Coach
01:11Prime has been able to do.
01:12He had the big stars in Shador, his son, Travis Hunter, now who leads in terms of the Heisman
01:19Trophy.
01:20But they are developing into a complete football team, defensively getting it done, getting
01:24more out of the running game.
01:26However, this weekend, I've been warning folks all season long, do not sleep on Kansas in
01:32the second half of the season.
01:34We saw it rise up last week, Kansas hands BYU their first loss of the season.
01:39KU is much better than their 4-6 record.
01:42They've got a veteran quarterback in Jalen Daniels, Devin Neal, now the all-time leading
01:47Jayhawk rusher, defensively coming around two-star cornerbacks in Mello Dotson and Kobe
01:54Bryant.
01:55So watch Kansas this week as far as Colorado goes.
01:58Now, quickly, Heisman, Travis is pulling away, but I think now is the time to sprinkle a
02:04little bit of money on Curtis Rourke of Indiana, plus $3,000 on FanDuel.
02:10Hoosiers are a 12-point underdog to Ohio State, but why not now?
02:14I mean, if Indiana pulls an upset, as voters are looking for alternatives to Travis Hunter,
02:20if IU can pull that off in the horseshoe this weekend, I think Curtis Rourke could catapult
02:25to the top spot, plus $3,000.
02:28I love him for some Heisman long-shot money right now.
02:32And then final thought for Week 13, obviously, Ohio State-Indiana, the big game.
02:36But how about Arizona State, Scott?
02:38I mean, Kenny Dillingham, year two, has done a remarkable job.
02:41The Sun Devils, along with Colorado, control their own destiny in the Big 12.
02:46If they could win the next two, they will play in the Big 12 championship game with
02:51a shot to get a playoff appearance.
02:53Unbelievable what's happening in Tempe this year.
