00:00We waste water in our everyday tasks.
00:12We use drinking water to do laundry, but we just need clean enough water to do our laundry.
00:30When you do laundry, you release warm water that's filled with microplastics.
00:36One single wash can release 700,000 of these tiny plastic particles.
00:41They go through the treatment plants and end up in our oceans and rivers.
00:46We have created a product that we call the Membox.
00:48This is an add-on water recycling system for laundry machines.
00:52It recycles up to 70% of the water, it recycles up to 30% of the energy, and we filter out
00:57the microplastics released from your wash.
01:00We want to help people's lives by implementing filtration systems, or Memboxes, on all domestic
01:05laundry machines.
01:06Then we can reuse all the water that we use in our everyday life.
01:15The goal for Membly is by 2030 to have 300,000 systems out.
01:21And with that amount of systems, we would save 450 million cubic meters of water and
01:26over 18 tons of microplastics, while at the same time saving over 1,000 gigawatt hours
01:32of energy, and also saving 470,000 tons of CO2.
