00:00Six people have filed a Certificate of Candidacy for the election of the Mayor of Manila in the election of 2025.

00:06The incumbent Mayor Hanila Puna, former Mayor Isko Moreno, Congressman Sam Versoza, and three others will be facing off.

00:20On the last day of the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy, the former Mayor of Manila, Isko Moreno, has arrived.

00:26He will face off against the incumbent and former Vice-Mayor, Hanila Puna.

00:32I respectfully ask Ate Hani if I can return as Mayor.

00:43And swiftly, she answered, no, I'm running for re-election.

00:51And, you know, of course, I don't want that. She's sitting. She's the one sitting.

01:59In Davao City, the former Civil Service Commission Chair, Carlo Nugrales,

02:07who was a former Cabinet Secretary and Acting Presidential Spokesman during the time of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

02:14Nugrales will fight as Mayor for the former President.

02:18Aside from the two, Nugrales' brother, Margarita, and Duterte's daughter, Pulong Duterte, will also contest for the first District of Davao City.

02:30Janis v. Janis will contest for the third District of Negros Oriental.

02:37One of the Janis is Pamplona Mayor Janis Digamo, widow of former Negros Oriental Governor Ruel Digamo.

02:45She will contest against Janis Tevez Gaston, the brother of Pride Henry and Arnulfo Tevez Jr.

02:53The two Janis will fight for the position that was held by ex-Congressman Amit Tevez, who was involved in the killing of Digamo in 2023.

03:03Aside from the two Janis, the independent aspirant, Reinaldo Lopez, will also contest.
