00:08Michael Keaton raised eyebrows recently when he announced that he's changing his name

00:14Switching back to his real name, Michael Douglas which happens to be the same name as another

00:18famous Hollywood star.

00:20But as the 73-year-old actor explained in a recent interview with E! News, he's never

00:26felt fully comfortable with his stage name, even though he's used it for decades.

00:30"'I like my name,' the Beetlejuice star explained at the premiere of his new film

00:34Goodrich, referring to Douglas.

00:36"'Every time I say my name, I kind of go, fraught.

00:40It's not your name.'"

00:42Michael then made a joke about another star who shares the Keaton surname, Diane Keaton.

00:53According to Michael, he actually wanted to use the title Michael Keaton Douglas.

00:58For his credit on his 2023 movie Knox Goes Away, but he forgot to update it in time.

01:09As for that other Michael Douglas, it seems he wouldn't have a problem with the change.

01:24As People reported, Michael didn't put too much thought into choosing the name Keaton
