00:00A rich scene and culture of more than 30 indigenous tribes was held at the Dayao 2024

00:06Philippine Indigenous Peoples' Festival in the province of South Cotabato.

00:44The three-day celebration included cultural performances, traditional games,

00:51sharing of cultural practices of the indigenous tribes, and demonstration of local arts, crafts, and tiboli cuisine.

01:10Together, we hope to create a future rooted in the traditional and a future that is for all of us.

01:18It is the center of the annual celebration to get to know and help indigenous tribes

01:29For 16 years, we have been celebrating Dayao, the leagues, to further trust our indigenous peoples into the spotlight.

01:38It is important to us, especially to our indigenous peoples, because we need recognition.

01:46And because of the recognition, we will get to know who we are, our heritage, and this is what gives pride to our country.

01:59Meanwhile, the local government of Lake Cebu and the National Museum of the Philippines

02:06will hold the deed of use of raft for the establishment of the National Museum in Lake Cebu.

02:11Lake Cebu will be known as the Home of the Living Treasures

02:16because it will have four Gawadban ni Likha ng Bayan or Gamaba awardees.
