00:00In the near future, chemical weapons cause a disaster that renders the air unbreathable.
00:06During a press conference, the President of the United States confirms that the priority
00:10is for his citizens, but reporters continue to mention rumors about secret shelters where
00:15scientists will eventually hide.
00:17Most humans perish due to this catastrophe, and the country's most important and intelligent
00:22scientists were put into deep sleep in underground shelters, waiting for the air to become clean.
00:28There are dozens of these shelters maintained by two engineers who wake up for two hours
00:33every six months.
00:35These engineers are Sam and Carl.
00:37Sam always wakes up first.
00:39He feels some nausea but recovers quickly, unlike Carl, who always wakes up with nightmares
00:44due to his fear of enclosed spaces.
00:47Sam bothers him for a while before finally letting him go out.
00:51Sam is a different model from the others.
00:53After that, both men begin their maintenance tasks, which include logging into computers
00:58to keep the other facilities alive.
01:01Carl is happy to see that the other shelters are also working well, despite the lack of
01:06communication between the facilities.
01:08They also test the air on the surface, but unfortunately, it still contains Sam's room,
01:14which has a board with pictures of their old lives.
01:17Sam likes to place a label with the word, DEAD, on the faces of his friends to remind
01:21themselves of the reality above.
01:24Carl hates that and removes the labels every time.
01:27The engineers continue to check the information on the computers, and Carl begins to worry
01:32when he discovers seismic activity and the possibility of causing damage.
01:37Sam seems scared of the sleepers, so they agree that Carl will check on them while Sam
01:41goes to the corridor to do the original tasks.
01:45Carl seizes the opportunity to glance at the picture he had hidden behind the board.
01:50He then suddenly turns around when he hears a voice asking if it is his loved one.
01:54The woman Carl loves is not opposed to chatting with him when he is alone.
01:59After putting the picture in his pocket, Carl goes to check on the sleepers, discovering
02:04that the woman is one of the sleeping scientists.
02:07Carl imagines her next to her tank, talking to him while he conducts the diagnosis.
02:12She tells him to inform Sam about her, but Carl says he will wait for the right time
02:17to tell him.
02:18At that moment, Sam joins him and starts complaining about the sleepers, thinking it is a waste
02:23of resources to have scientists who specialize in things like reptiles.
02:28However, Carl truly believes that the scientists are the future of humanity and expects them
02:33to sleep through 20 more cycles.
02:36Once they finish their work, the duo uses the remaining time to watch old recordings
02:40and play chess.
02:42Sam also uses the bathroom to get some rest.
02:45Hallucinations appear, saying that she is looking forward to meeting him again when
02:49she sleeps.
02:50However, Carl feels tense because entering the tank is always like hell for him.
02:56Despite having gone through this situation more than once, his fear of enclosed spaces
03:01always dominates him.
03:03While hallucinations tries to comfort him, Carl suddenly sees her smile on her body and
03:08then realizes that their tank is on fire.
03:11He immediately calls Sam, who comes out of the bathroom with a fire extinguisher, successfully
03:17putting out the fire.
03:18Unfortunately, the sleeping chamber is now damaged and Sam injures his hand in the incident.
03:24To make matters worse, the two hours are up, which means the lights in the air sector go
03:29out.
03:30Using flashlights and the little remaining air in the room, the engineers read the instruction
03:34manual and find that there is an emergency situation.
03:38They go upstairs to find the correct room and quickly activate the emergency air supply
03:42valve.
03:43The two return to the office, waiting for the backup air to arrive.
03:47While waiting, they share some details about their lives.
03:51Sam admits that he had a wife and three daughters and had to lie to them about his job due to
03:56the special requirements.
03:58Sam was forced to watch the government close the shelter on him while leaving his family
04:02to die under false promises.
04:05Carl tells him that he understands, even though he doesn't have a family.
04:09At that moment, the power finally returns with the emergency air, giving them an extra
04:14two hours.
04:15The engineers search for a backup cylinder in the storage room but find nothing, despite
04:20the manual indicating the presence of spare parts.
04:23Carl realizes that this may not be the only storage, so he checks the basement plan, which
04:28contains a set of incomprehensible codes.
04:32There is also a room called long-term storage, but it is locked.
04:36However, Carl believes that spare parts are stored there, so he removes the door cover
04:41and descends a corridor they have not seen before.
04:44They then find a door leading to a room with changing clothes where Carl finds a broken
04:49security camera, which is illogical since their system is not connected to this room.
04:54Sam explains that this could be remnants from when the place was a military facility.
04:59After deeper exploration, Carl sees hallucinations again, guiding him to the box where he finally
05:05finds the backup capsule.
05:07The engineers quickly prepare the capsule, but Carl is still afraid to enter it.
05:12Therefore, Sam volunteers to try it first.
05:15Once inside, he notices there must be a leak because the air becomes heavy.
05:20Carl goes to check the pump and suddenly the capsule sucks Sam in, choking him until he
05:26nearly dies from the fear.
05:28Fortunately, Carl appears and tears the capsule open to free him.
05:32Sam believes Carl tried to kill him, so he pushes him away.
05:36Carl explains that he was delayed because he couldn't find the knife to tear the capsule
05:40open and reminds Sam that he was supposed to enter it.
05:44This convinces Sam that it was an accident.
05:47Since Carl's capsule is now destroyed, Sam says they must kill one of the sleepers to
05:52use their capsule.
05:53Carl reminds him that their duty is to care for the sleepers, but Sam changes his mind,
05:59saying they cannot care for them if one dies.
06:01While watching the euthanasia needle, hallucinations appears and tells him not to do it, saying
06:07it is as easy as ABC.
06:09Because of this, Carl hesitates and says he cannot commit murder.
06:14Sam immediately argues with him, saying it's a matter of survival, and starts hitting him.
06:20Carl pushes him away and threatens him with the needle, asking for a chance to think.
06:25Eventually, Sam accepts his defeat and the duo returns to the office.
06:30Thanks to hallucinations' words, Carl realizes that the strange codes in the blueprint are
06:35the same as those on the computer, meaning each code represents another fortified facility
06:40that may contain more spare parts.
06:43Sam thinks it's extremely dangerous because they cannot know if there is an air leak between
06:47the facilities.
06:48But Carl is willing to take the risk.
06:51Carl wears a protective suit that provides clean air and a wireless device to stay connected
06:56with Sam, who will guide him through security cameras.
07:00As Carl enters the first corridor, he is shocked to discover a skeleton on the floor.
07:05Its clothes and weapon indicate that it was a soldier.
07:08Now, with only half an hour left, Sam begins to fix some old screens in the office while
07:14Carl delves deeper into the dark tunnels, finding lots of floating blue dust from airborne
07:19pollutants.
07:20After walking for a while, Carl finally appears on the old security cameras, so Sam starts
07:26correctly labeling the static screens.
07:28Eventually, Carl finds a door with a sign confirming it is an ABC facility.
07:34After unlocking it, Carl is shocked to discover that no one is working there.
07:39Unable to open the adjacent door, Carl begins to feel despair, but hallucinations appears
07:45and tells him not to give up.
07:47At that moment, Sam comes up with a solution and suggests that Carl enter the ABC facility
07:52by crawling through the air duct.
07:54Carl's fear of enclosed spaces starts to show, but he endures it for the sake of survival.
08:00As he crawls through the duct, Carl feels disgusted by seeing many corpses in front
08:05of him and has to crawl over them.
08:08As Carl delves deeper into the duct, he loses contact with Sam, so he decides to use some
08:13tools to boost the signal.
08:16However, when he checks his toolkit, he discovers that his knife was there all along, and Sam
08:21may have lied to him.
08:23To be sure, Sam reviews the security footage and is shocked to discover that Carl was standing
08:28next to the capsule, completely indifferent while choking.
08:31At that moment, Carl finally reaches the ABC facility.
08:36His radio starts working, and as he looks around, he notices that the facility is in
08:41complete disrepair with no survivors.
08:44Through a hole in the ceiling, Carl looks outside and discovers that the planet was
08:48destroyed by nuclear weapons a long time ago.
08:52He then inspects the sleeping quarters, which are also destroyed.
08:56Carl is disturbed when he finally realizes that the computer, which showed all facilities
09:01as operational, was a lie to keep the engineers safe and make them think they were not alone.
09:07Sam comments that they cannot trust anyone anymore and places the dead label back on
09:12the board.
09:13While Carl continues to explore, he concludes that their facility is the only one still
09:18working, meaning they are the only ones alive.
09:21At this point, hallucinations appears to tell him he is not alone.
09:25But Carl realizes that the air is running out and starts returning to his facility.
09:31Once he reaches the last corridor, Carl goes through a removal process and Sam appears
09:36on the other side of the door, holding a knife and accusing his friend of lying.
09:41Carl swears he can explain, but Sam suddenly shows him a gun he took from a dead soldier
09:46and says Carl is a threat to him and the sleepers and must die.
09:50Carl, now scared and desperate, returns to the ABC facility, but the air is running out
09:56and he struggles to respond.
09:59Hallucinations appears and tells him to return to the duct because there is an alternate
10:03path he can take.
10:05As Carl crawls through the duct, Sam confronts him via radio, warning him about the consequences
10:10of betrayal and that he will die soon if he doesn't return.
10:14But Carl ignores him and continues moving until he finds a path that leads him back
10:19to his facility.
10:20He quickly removes his suit to breathe properly again and tries to return to the office, but
10:26suddenly he finds Sam who starts shooting at him.
10:30Fortunately, the shots miss him due to the darkness, so he rushes to hide behind the
10:34door, ignoring Carl's pleas and reminder that they are the last survivors.
10:40Sam fears Carl might kill him while he sleeps.
10:43Using his radio, Sam tries to locate Carl through his device, but when he follows the
10:47signal, he discovers that Carl left his flashlight and radio behind to deceive him.
10:53Meanwhile, Carl locks the door behind him and goes to the clinic to get some morphine.
10:58He is unsure whether to kill his dear friend, but hallucinations convinces him to do so
11:04or Sam will kill him first and they will lose their future together.
11:08After preparing the injection, Carl goes out and finds that Sam managed to open the door
11:13and exit.
11:14Carl tries to sneak inside cautiously, but is shot in the shoulder from behind.
11:19Sam approaches him, struggling with the need to kill someone he considers family.
11:24Carl tries to explain that he did it to protect his loved one and hands Sam her picture.
11:30Sam then begins talking to hallucinations, which angers him as he thinks Carl is insane.
11:36Carl uses this distraction to attack Sam, forcing him to drop the gun, but he fails
11:41to injure him and escapes to the sleeping quarters.
11:44Sam retrieves his gun and finds the picture on the floor, noticing something familiar
11:49about it.
11:50He rushes to the sleepers and realizes that Carl lied more than he thought.
11:55It turns out that hallucinations is Carl's wife, which is the only reason he cared so
12:00much about the sleepers.
12:02Sam becomes furious and threatens to kill hallucinations to force Carl out.
12:07But Carl surprises him from behind and injects him with morphine in his shoulder.
12:12Sam tries to shoot Carl, but the morphine's effect causes him to collapse from the pain.
12:18Carl intends to help him, but Sam reminds him that there isn't much time left, so
12:22Carl must sleep to continue caring for his wife.
12:26Eventually, Carl returns to the office and uses Sam's room to sleep before the timer
12:30reaches zero.
12:32Before losing consciousness, Carl hallucinates that Sam is playing chess.
12:37After several years, the sleepers finally wake up from their cold sleep and start searching
12:42around to see the current state of the world.
12:45Hallucination searches for Carl and discovers that he has become an old man.
12:50She finally embraces him.
12:52End of summary.
