00:00We should probably just jump into it, Tom, because we had a big game with the Lions versus
00:07the Cowboys.
00:08Lions putting on a complete show, 47 to 90 in the victory here, a massive second quarter
00:14with 20 points and then just continue to roll and rally through there.
00:17But I think we start off by the big injury that the Lions took.
00:21It came down to Hutchinson going down, rushed to the hospital.
00:25And then we found out later that he actually had to have emergency surgery for a broken
00:28tibula, I think I saw.
00:30That's going to be major in a number of ways.
00:32I think you, amongst a lot of other people, were on him for defensive player of the year.
00:36I know I love that because of the expectation of what the Lions are supposed to produce
00:39this season and how they're living up to their own hype and expectation.
00:43But kind of start with that injury before we roll into this big win for the Lions.
00:48Yeah, absolutely.
00:50Massive loss for their defense is going to be a very long recovery.
00:55The timelines that I've seen is six, eight, nine months, whatever it might be.
00:59So he's out for the year.
01:01The Lions still have a very good team without him.
01:04Their offense is obviously unbelievable.
01:05I would expect them to try and make some moves at the deadline.
01:08They have Super Bowl aspirations, right?
01:10This is a team that is built to win.
01:13This is not a team that has ever wavered on that.
01:16Once they got Dan Campbell in there, they have been on this path.
01:18I expect them to make moves at the deadline because they know this is their window to
01:22win.
01:24They have a great attack in place.
01:25They have a great O.C. with Ben Johnson.
01:26They have the running backs.
01:27They have the receivers.
01:28They have everything.
01:29They're missing a key piece on defense now, of course, with Hutchinson done for the year.
01:33That is the role that they need to fill via trade, via someone.
01:37The Jets have, who's ever holding out, his name is escaping me right now, Son Reddick,
01:44who's been holding out since camp.
01:46Make a trade for him.
01:47They need someone on the defense, on the D-line.
01:50There are moves to be made.
01:51I expect them to take care of business.
01:54It's a massive loss, but I still have full faith in the Lions that they will move through
01:58the playoffs and be in the Super Bowl.
02:00Yeah, I do too.
02:02And I think that's a great call to kind of mention the holdout going on with the Jets
02:06because not to make it a dramatic headline thing, but the reality is between the firing
02:10of the head coach, between all the headlines that circulate around their quarterback, and
02:14then the contract holdout, this guy's almost losing more money than he's going to look
02:18to make if he ever wants to play football this season.
02:21So at this point, I think the Lions should make a play for him.
02:24I think part of it too is just maybe he's not a fit for the Giants, regardless of being
02:27a dynamic player in his own way.
02:29So I think that that's something they could definitely look at and probably make an affordable
02:33move on.
