00:02today, the locals made products of different cooperatives.

00:06In addition to this, there is support from small and big businesses.

00:22distributed by the Department of Agriculture today

00:26in celebration of World Food Day.

00:31These are different kinds of foods.

00:34There are fruits, vegetables, corn, peanuts.

00:36I can save my expenses today.

00:39The cooperatives made the products

00:43and brought them to the central office of the agency.

00:47The DA's goal is to distribute the local products to the public.

00:52The support of our small and big businesses

00:57will strive to provide food to the Filipinos.

01:01Some are coming from Mindanao and some coming from Visayas and Luzon.

01:06Many of the food coming from the production area

01:10so that we can all see it.

01:12By Wednesday, all of the regional offices

01:15will also have an exhibit and display of the food.

01:18The price here is 20% cheaper.

01:21There are also other agricultural products

01:24such as fresh vegetables and new fruits.

01:27500 kadiwa stores were opened in different parts of the country.

01:31Of the 4 stores, 29 and 43 pesos of rice were sold.

01:37The DA's target is to increase the number of kadiwa stores to 1,500

01:42so that more Filipinos will have access to cheaper products.

01:47We hope to top other agencies and offices of the government

01:58We would like to bring down the price of rice,

02:01particularly rice from all over the country

02:04because the price of rice is too high.

02:07We want to bring it down to at least 42 or 40

02:13so that people will have affordability

02:16because the market is still at 55.

02:19While targeting to bring down the price of food,

02:23the DA is also eager to promote our local products abroad.

02:29The Philippines is now cooperating with New Zealand

02:32to sell durian.

02:34Mangoes from Zambales and Guimaras are also exported.

02:38What we really want is that our mangoes will be able to be exported to other countries

02:44because the quality is very good.

02:46It should be accepted in Australia, the U.S. and other countries where we need mangoes.

02:52The DA is eager to work with the World Trade Organization

02:56to implement their export requirements.
