00:00Many barangays in the province of Isabela were flooded.

00:03The water in the river overflowed due to the heavy rain caused by Hurricane Nica.

00:09DSWD assured that it will provide sufficient aid to the affected residents.

00:22Alan, you know, here in the province of Cagayan and Isabela, the sun has already set.

00:28But yesterday, Hurricane Nica hit both provinces hard.

00:32In Cagayan, the water level reached the above warning level in Cagayan River.

00:38At this time, Cagayan River is already 10.5 meters deep.

00:43That means, Alan, it's only a few meters closer to the critical level of 11 meters.

00:48While the Pinakanawan River is already overflowing, it's still flowing here in Cagayan.

00:53That's why the bridge that connects Barangay Centro Jez to the eastern barangays

00:58was already flooded and can't be crossed.

01:01The houses you can see in Barangay Centro Jez are almost completely destroyed

01:05here in Tuguegarao because of the high water level in Cagayan River.

01:10Residents are still afraid that the water level will rise

01:13because the water is still coming down from Isabela Mountain towards Cagayan River.

01:19While in Isabela, many barangays in Ilagan City were still flooded.

01:25The Guka Bridge was also flooded after the Guka River flooded Isabela.

01:30Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development is already prepared

01:35and has enough food packs distributed to the residents.

01:40Aside from food packs, hygiene kits, sleeping kits and tents are also available.

01:45According to DSWD, they are in the center of the President's mandate.

01:48President Bumbu Marcos Jr. said that he will not allow the people to starve.

01:53As of now, in the latest update,

01:551,700 families are in the evacuation center in the whole of Cagayan,

02:01equivalent to 5,000 individuals.
