Transcript
00:00This week, Callum, an opportunity for you to cast an eye on some potential rivals,
00:05but also a chance just for you, presumably, to be a bit of a sponge and soak in what these big fight weeks are all about.
00:10Yeah, it's been a great fight week, you know, I've enjoyed it.
00:14Like I said to you yesterday, it's not quite found the town centre in August, but, you know, it's still good.
00:19You know, just like I did in England, I wanted to get around as many big shows as I could,
00:23especially the stadium fights, to try and get myself used to that environment,
00:27which is exactly the same I'm doing now, so hopefully, you know, I'll be out here next year as well in some big fights.
00:32And what do you make of this match-up, Whittaker against Liam Cameron?
00:36I think it could be a good step up for Whittaker, depending on what Liam Cameron turns up tonight.
00:42You know, I think it's still going to be important for Liam to try and put that pressure on Ben,
00:47try and maybe walk him down, something that no-one's really done yet so far,
00:52it's going to be interesting to see if Ben can handle the pressure from Liam, if he does put that on him.
00:57This is Liam Cameron, I mean, what a redemption story.
01:04He's had his issues outside of the ring, problems with addiction relating to drink,
01:10and substance abuse coupled with the grief of the tragedy.
01:15He lost his step-daughter Teagan in a road traffic accident three years ago.
01:22What does that say about his strength of character to claw his way back to be on a platform like this?
01:29I think even if you're a Ben Whittaker supporter, you can appreciate Liam Cameron's desire to get back.
01:36The undisputed defending champion, Ben the Surgeon Whittaker!

02:51This is the Surgeon Ben Whittaker, ring walk number nine in the career of the fast-rising prospect from Wolverhampton.
03:02He's rapidly becoming the face of boxing for the casual sports fans.
03:06Such is the nature of his skilful, brilliant, sparkling, but sometimes controversial approach to the sweet science.
03:14Only last week, a highlights video was shared by Snoop Dogg on social media, being viewed by millions worldwide.
03:21Matt, whether you like it, whether you don't, he's making enormous waves early on in his career.
03:27Yeah, this kid oozes star quality, and he's got the ability to back that up and support it.
03:33You know, Olympic silver medalist, loads of talent, loads of ability.

04:54Introducing to you first the challenger fighting tonight out of the blue corner.
05:02He comes to the ring wearing purple and gold and weighed in officially at 174.6 pounds.
05:09Coming to us from Sheffield, England, he brings a professional record of 23 wins, 6 defeats,
05:18with 10 of his 23 wins coming by way of knockouts.
05:24Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the former Commonwealth Champion, Liam Cannonball Cameron!
05:39And his opponent across the ring in his championship contest, fighting tonight out of the red corner,
05:45he is the defending champion. He comes to the ring wearing black with red and weighed in officially at 174.9 pounds.
05:54Hailing from Darliston, West Midlands, England, a 2020 Olympic silver medalist,
06:03he is now undefeated as a professional with 8 wins, 5 of his 8 wins coming by way of knockout.
06:13Ladies and gentlemen, here is the reigning and defending IBF International Light Heavyweight Champion,
06:22Ben the Surgeon Whittaker!
06:34Okay boys, you've had your instructions. Remember, obey my commands at all times, defend yourselves at all times.
06:40Touch gloves, God bless.
06:43Well this surely represents a step up in class and a step up in calibre of opponent for Ben Whittaker.
07:0210 rounds at Light Heavyweight. Ben Whittaker is in the black trunks, Liam Cameron is in the purple and gold.
07:12He has Teagan on the waistband and he was pointing to that during the introductions.
07:17That is the name of his stepdaughter who he tragically lost 3 years ago.
07:22Fast start from Whittaker. Good use of the left hand, Matt.
07:28You get the impression that the speed of hand, speed of foot may well be with Whittaker.
07:33But Cameron is proven former Commonwealth Champion, good amateur as well, winning the ABA title back in 2009.
07:42But more importantly and more recently put up a really good showing against Lyndon Arthur.
07:46Yeah, a lot more experienced as a professional than Whittaker.
07:51Certainly won't have come here to roll over or lie down and won't go into survival mode either.
07:55Obviously having a bit of a look here at Whittaker, tries the left hook there.
08:00But yeah, I think you'll want to see what Whittaker's speed's like, what his power's like.
08:08Good forepunch combination just ending on the left hook to the body there.
08:12That was a good shot from Whittaker.
08:19Really enjoyed that the early part of the week Dalton Smith was employed as the minder.
08:24Slash bodyguard for Liam Cameron.
08:29The rest of the team arrived later in the week.
08:31Piers Gudgeon and Grant Smith, Dalton's father, in the corner.
08:37Whittaker had plenty to say at the press conference and at the head-to-head yesterday.
08:45First part though, you think Liam Cameron's got the right sort of temperament to deal with that outside the ring.
08:50It'd be a different test in the ring if Whittaker starts to open the box of tricks.
08:55Whether or not he can not get frustrated and perhaps try and get deeper into the fight.
09:00Yeah, that right hook was a little low there, certainly below the belt.
09:05Cameron just using experience, trying to get his jab going but not really opening up or taking any chances.
09:11Catching a lot of these shots on the gloves, trying to make Whittaker work.
09:16Whittaker, you know, put some nice combinations together but hasn't really managed to pierce the guard of Cameron.
09:22Yeah, nice right hand there though from Whittaker.
09:25Early impressions Callum?
09:27Yeah, it looks like Liam seems to have pierced himself.
09:29Obviously it's a ten round fight, you know, you can go ten rounds.
09:32Like they beat him last fight with a close fight with the knife but he seems to have pierced himself a little bit.
09:37Just caught Ben with a good right hand there, not too much in it but a good clean shot.
09:41Like I said, Ben seems to be quite busy this first round.
09:44Plenty of jabs but nothing too much getting through to Liam.
09:51Yeah, Cameron will be encouraged by that though.
09:52Did land a cuffing right hand.
09:57Last ten seconds of this open up.
10:03That's nice work going up and down with the jab.
10:08Yeah, Liam does.
10:12Fight Night, brought to you by That Prize Guy.
10:16At Currys, we invited some die hard online shoppers to remember the benefits of buying their tech IRL.
10:23Shark Flag Style rotates between a versatile multi-styler and hairdryer.
10:27For some, it can be a little overwhelming.
10:30They miss all the scrolling and all zooming and clicking and there's no need to swipe.
10:34But once they experience seeing, feeling and trying the tech, it makes such a difference.
10:39Can I get a next day delivery?
10:41You could just take it now.
10:44Currys, beyond expectations.
10:52Welcome back to Riyadh.
10:55First round in the bank.
10:59Ben Whittaker may well have been the busier there Matt and had the more success.
11:02Yeah, definitely.
11:04Even though a lot of the shots were blocked on the gloves, he still got through with some.
11:07He was by far the busier.
11:09Won the round.
11:10I think Cameron was having a look there trying to get the timing, get the speed of Whittaker.
11:15I'd imagine he'll try and progress now, push on a little bit.
11:18Maybe not in this round.
11:19They're certainly going to start building into it.
11:21Can't just stand on the outside and let Whittaker dictate.
11:24Yeah, I think Liam Moran has come out a little bit sharper in this round on the jab,
11:27but he's throwing it quite slow and bringing it back pretty low as well,
11:30which I think they'd better be looking to time that.
11:32But on his, you know, like I said, again with his lead, I'm bringing it low again there.
11:38There you go.
11:41The gloves are up nice and high for Cameron,
11:44but Whittaker just like that has been able to punch through that guard on a couple of occasions.
11:50And then Cameron comes forward.
11:51That was encouraging.
11:54With a round of applause from the blue corner in front of us.
11:57Drop the shoulder for the jab.
12:00Just hit whatever Liam, don't want to pinch it.
12:03Good, that seems good for Cameron.
12:04I feel like Liam is doing the right thing here, putting that pressure on Ben moving forward,
12:07but I'd like to see him maybe slip a little bit more and get caught in a few straight shots.
12:11This is good work from Cameron though.
12:13Just seemed to get his distance right there.
12:16Whittaker's good with his elusive upper body movement,
12:19but wasn't able to evade all of those shots.
12:23No good steady pressure from Cameron.
12:25Keeping the hands high, walking forward, making Whittaker work.
12:34His defence is good.
12:36Most of the shots that Whittaker's throwing, he's catching most of them on the gloves.
12:39Some are getting through, but he's definitely catching the majority of them on the gloves.
12:43Nice high guard.
12:45Whittaker, I think he was, that was almost like an amateur trait,
12:48raising the right hand to say that landed.
12:50It was a quick bullet-like right hand,
12:53but that's a short chopping right hand from Cameron which finds the target.
12:57Having a good round here, Liam Cameron.
12:59Yeah, I think Liam seems to have got a bit confident,
13:01but seems to have found his confidence here now after letting his shots grow up.
13:06And he seems to be landing as well.
13:07A little bit off the putt there.
13:09Cameron sticks his tongue out there.
13:10They're a little bit away from us under the lights,
13:12but that looks like some blood on the right temple,
13:16right on top of the right eye from Cameron.
13:19Is there a little nick there perhaps?
13:22Maybe just a bit of mark reddening.
13:28Styles are gelling nicely here.
13:29He's got a bit of a knack for it.
13:30He's got a bit of a knack for it.
13:31He's got a bit of a knack for it.
13:32He's got a bit of a knack for it.
13:33He's got a bit of a knack for it.
13:35Styles are gelling nicely here, Cameron.
13:40Yeah, it looks like he's going to go inside the ball,
13:43having to trade on the inside,
13:44which is something we've not really seen from Whitaker so far in his career.
13:48I wonder if he's trying to make a statement.
13:50I wonder if he's trying to show people that he's more than just the boxer tricks.
13:55I don't know.
13:56I think it's more of Liam's pressure coming forward.
13:58He's the one putting the pressure on him,
14:00not really giving the time to step away and box off.
14:02I agree.
14:03I agree.
14:04It's the pressure from Cameron.
14:07Now, Callum, we had a nice conversation off camera, didn't we?
14:11You've got a bone to pick with me, I gather.
14:13Yeah, all it is, you know.
14:14We've had a conversation a few times, a few interviews,
14:17and you always seem to ask me about Ben Whittaker,
14:20would I fight him?
14:21And I've told you yes every time,
14:22but whenever I see you have an interview with Ben,
14:24you never ask him about me.
14:25And then, you know, at the end of the day,
14:27I've got my own career to focus on as far as I see it.
14:29Now, I'm a stadium fighter,
14:31sell-out stadium fighter, you know,
14:32British Commonwealth champion.
14:34So it'd be nice to, you know, I'm not chasing anybody,
14:36but I've told Ben Shalom, Boxer Sky,
14:39that I'd be happy to fight Ben next.
14:41Obviously, I know it's something that's going to happen
14:42in a couple of years, but I'd like to see,
14:44maybe ask Ben if he'd take that fight,
14:46and we can see how he answers it.
14:48What do you think he'll say?
14:50I think he'll just try and talk rubbish
14:52and try and say something probably a bit cringey,
14:54to be honest, like he normally says.
14:57I must do better.
14:59Callum, I'll let you off, I'll let you off.
15:01As AJ said, I'm not perfect, but I'm trying.
15:10Back to this one, round three.
15:12It's all love in commentary row.
15:14I'm glad I'm away from him.
15:16I think that last round was probably the most difficult round
15:18of Ben Whittaker's professional career.
15:20Cameron landed some good shots, cut through the guard,
15:23made him work.
15:25Sorry, Matt, that was a really good right hand.
15:27He just seemed to stand Cameron upright.
15:29Really sharp, short right hand.
15:33Well, like I say, I think the last round was the most difficult
15:36of his career, and this has been a good response
15:38in the first 30 seconds of round three here for Whittaker.
15:40But again now, Cameron coming back,
15:42this fight could start to really ignite.
15:46Yeah, some confusion there.
15:47I don't know if Victor Loughlin could stop boxing,
15:50but Whittaker continued to punch,
15:52and Cameron, for all of his experience,
15:54was a little bit inexperienced and was looking at Victor.
15:57There's definitely some marking down the right eye of Cameron.
16:03Couldn't quite be sure.
16:04I was looking on our monitor, and I was looking in person as well,
16:07and I couldn't quite be sure, but that was good work from Cameron.
16:10This really is a good fight.
16:11This is bubbling up nicely.
16:16There's a bit of physical stuff there from Cameron
16:18just gets ticking off, and I think Victor's just saying,
16:21look, he's both out of order there.
16:26Yes!
16:28Yes!
16:29That's better!
16:31Nice jab there from Cameron.
16:33That's better!
16:34A few moments ago.
16:35Big roar from the corners coming as well.
16:37They're happy with what they're seeing.
16:38There you go, Ben!
16:39Yeah, I think Ben's throwing a lot of those straight shots,
16:42but Erkin's getting caught on the gloves.
16:45I'm sure Grantman is all complaining about Ben holding a little bit.
16:50Good lad!
16:53Yes!
16:54Good lad!
16:55Both trade body shots.
16:56Again, Whittaker just raises his right hand
16:58as if to say, mine was a better shot.
17:00Good shot!
17:01Good lad!
17:03Swing!
17:04Swing that body, yes!
17:06Good round at the top there by Liam.
17:08Another one, another.
17:10There's about three there.
17:11About three.
17:12And all landed.
17:15Whittaker just employing a tactic of almost trying to macho Liam Cameron.
17:22Now he pins him against the ropes.
17:25Yeah, nothing's really got through yet though,
17:27but he's on the ropes.
17:28I thought Ben would be a little bit smarter when Liam's on the ropes there
17:31with his hands tight.
17:32I'd like to see him use a bit of intelligence
17:34but pull the gloves down, use the angles that he normally does.
17:38Good left hook there from Cameron as well to the body of Whittaker.
17:42Here caught with a couple of good uppercuts as well on the inside
17:45just a few moments ago.
17:48But I wonder if he's just trying to show us
17:50and everyone back home that there is more to the Whittaker
17:55repertoire.
17:56There is more than one way to win a fight.
17:57Not necessarily the most advisable tactics.
17:59I was going to say Andy, I don't think advise fighting with pride.
18:02Be smart.
18:04There's a time for a couple of pride
18:06but you don't want to be doing that this early.
18:14Back down the undercard.
18:15Here's the WBC featherweight champion, Sky Nicholson.
18:18Correction, she takes on Raven Chapman later on.
18:22It is the first female world title fight
18:25in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
18:27These two, I think, are friends.
18:29They've sparred a lot.
18:31There's a mutual respect there
18:33but there's been a bubbling rivalry all week.
18:36Raven Chapman, she is super confident.
18:40She has a super confident team behind her as well.
18:43That looks like a very relaxed dressing room.
18:47Should also be a really good clash of styles.
18:52Down low again.
18:53Out of the body.
18:55Get ready for the head seconds.
19:07Into the fourth of 10 here.
19:08This is a really good watch from Ringside.
19:10I hope this is coming across on the television back home
19:13because Liam Cameron is giving a great account of himself.
19:17Yes, just as you were talking over there,
19:19You know, with the Scott Nicholson and Raven warming up,
19:21then we actually had a few replays of Liam Cameron
19:25in slow motion, landing a big left hand
19:26and a big right hand on Ben.
19:29Probably the most he's been tagged
19:30in his professional career, which, you know,
19:32you cannot swim without getting wet.
19:36It was always going to happen that he was going to get hit.
19:40Cameron's certainly in this fight.
19:42Yeah, I think he's probably getting hit a little bit
19:44too often for someone who's as slick as Ben.
19:47Is he trying to hold his feet more,
19:48trying to prove a point?
19:50Is he, you know, a bit too proud,
19:52too much early doors, I think.
19:54He's getting hit with shots that I don't think
19:55he needs to get hit with, with someone who's as slick
19:57and as quick as him.
20:00But that's taking nothing away from Cameron.
20:01He's smart.
20:02He's walking towards him.
20:04He's timing the jab.
20:05He's coming over the top with the right hand.
20:07His left hook combinations, head and body are working well.
20:10His fights, you know, this is heating up here.
20:12Yeah, Cameron's clubbing away and having success.
20:15There was a good Whitaker left hand to the body as well,
20:17which was right on the belt line.
20:18That one looked like it strayed south.
20:21Victor Laughlin lets it go.
20:24And there is marking on the face of Liam Cameron.
20:26So maybe the eye-catching shots, the ones that are catching
20:29our eye are from Cameron.
20:30But Whitaker is getting through.
20:31That was a great exchange in shots on the belt line.
20:35OK, take it over now, Ben.
20:38I'll break it.
20:38Don't you push him off your elbow.
20:40Yeah, Victor Laughlin just saying, I'll referee it.
20:42Don't need you to do it.
20:43Another good old run right round the end,
20:44and a left hook as well.
20:48Whitaker's had some success to the Cameron body.
20:51Good lad.
20:55Good score.
20:56You can hear Grant Smith just advising Liam
20:59to go for the body in the corner there.
21:01Through the gate, Ben.
21:04Great work, Matt, Liam, great work.
21:06Yeah, again, getting caught a lot of shots here.
21:08Just staying there too long, allowing
21:10Cameron to put combinations together,
21:11opening up the defenses of Whitaker,
21:13and getting good momentum.
21:15Yeah, he was just trying to ride those shots and catch them.
21:17He didn't catch them all, though, Whitaker,
21:19and it resulted in a good passage from Cameron.
21:21That was around the back of the head, surely, from Cameron.
21:24But again, Victor just lets him get on with it.
21:29Good three-punch combination from Whitaker.
21:32Which are one of them, they will.
21:35Keep me honest over here, Callum, please.
21:38Someone's got to get in on it.
21:48Yes, good.
21:50And then switch on after you've thrown.
21:52Punch, punch, buddy.
21:53Good.
21:53In the gate.
21:54Hold it.
21:54Ben in.
21:55Ben in.
21:55Ben in.
21:56Ben in.
21:56Ben in.
21:57Ben in.
21:57Ben in.
21:58I think Liam were confident about the use of the head
22:00from Ben, then.
22:06Good round.
22:06Well done.
22:16Fight night brought to you by that prize guy.
22:30This land is calling.
22:36Ice towel, please.
22:38Ice, ice towel.
22:40OK.
22:41Well, he's in the house.
22:43Big Fraser.
22:45It's a rematch of one of the best heavyweight fights
22:47we've seen in many a year.
22:50Sporting an Al Nasser shirt.
22:53Big Fraser, he's got a confident figure all week.
22:57Some of the grabs he's given us, some of the verbals.
23:00He seems to be in a terrific place mentally,
23:03and he will need to be in a terrific place physically
23:06if he is going to get over the line this time
23:09against the champion, Fabio Wardley.
23:22Captain's jab's working well.
23:24Another quickie, but he's got nice timing there.
23:28He's found a very nice, natural rhythm, I think, Liam Cameron.
23:31Ben Whittaker has not been able to nudge him out of that
23:33at all, and he's got work to do here.
23:36Whittaker, no doubt about it.
23:38He's being extended for the first time
23:40really in his professional career.
23:46Good variation from the jab, the left hand from Cameron.
23:49Then he fired a right hand off the back of it.
23:52I think Whittaker's jab is too predictable.
23:54It's coming from the chin.
23:56It's well executed, well-spoken, but he
23:58needs to use more feints, vary the speed,
24:01maybe drop it from the hip a little bit, hook off the jab.
24:04That left hand's just a little bit too predictable,
24:06coming straight at Cameron.
24:08And he's able to time it and come over the top of it.
24:18High-catching right hand from Whittaker doesn't land.
24:21It's well-blocked by Cameron.
24:31Both exchanging jabs in centre ring.
24:36Whittaker finishes that exchange with a left hand to the body.
24:39In close, Cameron just says something to him there.
24:43Yeah, I think it's complaining to Whittaker about the older
24:46than he used to head, but.
24:49Cameron finished that exchange with a left hook to the body
24:52as well.
24:52This is like you go, I go.
24:55It's good.
24:55Yeah.
24:59They don't like that in the blue corner.
25:01That's not the first time I can hear the voices
25:03over the crowd here that Dalton Smith, Grant Smith,
25:07they're saying that those shots are below the beltline.
25:10You were a bit further over that side, Callum.
25:12What did you think?
25:12Yeah, it was below the beltline, but Liam
25:14needs to be careful.
25:15He can't be putting his hands down like that
25:17and stopping and looking at the ref.
25:18If the ref doesn't say a break or stop,
25:20then he's going to get caught with some shots,
25:22just like he did there.
25:23He needs to be careful.
25:24Exactly, protect yourself at all times.
25:26Don't look to the ref.
25:27The next one, that point, you understand that?
25:29That was low.
25:29The referee has given Ben a warning.
25:31I don't know what it was for, but the next one
25:33is going to take a point off.
25:33It was for the low blow.
25:34He said, next one, that was low.
25:36Next one, that's a point off.
25:38Right, right.
25:39We'll see.
25:41Whittaker sticking there, though.
25:43Not discouraged.
25:44Hit the back, hit the back.
25:47Oh, that was unlucky.
25:48The heads just coming together there
25:50as Whittaker was bringing his own head up.
25:51Sorry, Matt, I cut you off before.
25:54I can't remember what he was going to say.
25:56I think he was talking about Liam putting a drop in his hands
25:59and looking at the referee.
26:00Yeah, looking away, very inexperienced
26:02from someone that is experienced to do something like that.
26:04Whittaker unravelling a little bit here,
26:06and doesn't look the sharpest to me.
26:08He seems a bit lethargic, a bit sluggish.
26:10Yeah, to me, he doesn't seem to be having much timing at all
26:13for the count, again, low again there.
26:16Liam, I don't know how you two are scoring this,
26:18but other than the first round, for me, Ben's probably,
26:22I think he might have lost the last three.
26:24Whittaker, did his balance just lose,
26:28leave him there a little bit?
26:29Is Ben Whittaker just half stunned?
26:31Oh, that is not what we want.
26:33Over the top rope.
26:36That's an ugly incident.
26:37We hope that both are all right there.
26:43Certainly, this is going to take some sorting out.
26:45That was a really, really dangerous incident
26:50that happened there.
26:50They both went over the top rope.
26:52We just need to make sure that both are OK here.
26:59OK, let's have a look.
27:04Yeah, the top rope is just under that weight,
27:09and they both sort of spike themselves
27:13on the corner of the ring apron there.
27:21Oh, that really does look painful.
27:30I mean, this round is not going to start on time.
27:32Certainly, it's not, because Whittaker is still
27:35prone on the canvas.
27:37They've rung the bell for the start of the round.
27:40I mean, I'm guessing that's a no contest if he doesn't
27:43make it back to his feet.
27:51So it's obvious there that the injury is to the leg,
27:57I think, of Whittaker.
27:58Look, the right leg there.
28:00That's a no contest, surely.
28:02That fight can't go on.
28:04Yeah, it doesn't look like it's going to go on.
28:10No, they're taking the boot off here.
28:11So if that's an accidental foul, that
28:16will be the end of the contest, and they
28:19will go to the scorecards.
28:21That is our interpretation at ringside.
28:23But even with something as bizarre as that,
28:25would that not surely be a no contest?
28:27It's not like it's been a cock from a punch.
28:30I mean, the first thing is, he's obviously not going
28:32to be able to continue here, Whittaker, because like you
28:34say, that boot's coming off.
28:41So let's just have a look again, and now
28:43focus on the right leg of Whittaker.
28:49Let's have a look again.
29:01I don't want to be too controversial, but for me,
29:04you can't really see anything happen to his right leg there,
29:09especially his ankle.
29:10He's taken the boot off, and that didn't even
29:12make contact with anything.
29:16But he's in instant agony there.
29:18It's difficult to see.
29:22This is a better angle, perhaps.
29:31So we're going to have a delay here either way.
29:34Either way, the fight obviously can't go on.
29:38I'm not sure how this works.
29:40Was that an accidental foul, or was it just a...?
29:44I'm guessing.
29:45I don't know what the rules are.
29:47I'm guessing it's a no contest.
29:53I've just seen Grant there telling Liam,
29:55you've won.
29:56You've won.
29:57But I don't think the referees are going to be able
30:00to do anything.
30:01I don't think they're going to be able to do anything.
30:05I don't think the referees are saying,
30:08I don't know.
30:09Unless it's a technical draw or a no contest, that's what...
30:15That's what I would imagine it would be.
30:20I don't know if he's a cut-eye with some
30:22sanctioning bodies or commissions.
30:24It'll go to a scorecard after four completed rounds.
30:27Was that the fifth round, that?
30:29That was the fifth, yeah.
30:30The end of the fifth, was it?
30:32It was the end of the fifth, yeah.
30:34I was checking with Andy Clark there,
30:36and the referee obviously has a decision to make here.
30:40If it's an accidental foul,
30:42and it's in the rough and tumble of the fight,
30:45you know, it's not deliberate,
30:47they will go to the cards.
30:49And that's the decision that our referee,
30:51Victor Laughlin, has got to make.
30:54How would a YouTube score that?
30:56What do you think, Matt?
30:58How would you have it?
31:01I think obviously Whittaker definitely won the first round,
31:04but for the other three, I know they were busier,
31:07but the clear, clean shots, I think Liam landed them,
31:10and quite a lot of them too.
31:12One thing I would say, from that overhead angle there,
31:15I wonder if it's as the weight pushes on the top of Whittaker,
31:18his foot is still planted.
31:20If they're holding his achilles there,
31:22I wonder if he's almost like overextended his achilles.
31:25If that's where it's happened,
31:27it's where his foot is still planted on the floor
31:30as he goes over the top rope.
31:32I think if you watch it again,
31:34once he actually goes over,
31:36when his right foot comes down,
31:38it looks like his ankle hits the metal stairs.
31:40You can't see it from a certain angle,
31:42but from above, you can just see it.
31:44I think that might be what it is.
31:46It looks like his achilles does hit the corner of the step.
31:48It's an absolute tangle of limbs.
31:50We've seen it from so many different angles now,
31:52it's still impossible to gauge.
31:54Campbell's obviously leaned over, he's leaned back.
31:56That's an accident.
31:59What are you thinking, Callum, points-wise?
32:01Points-wise, for me, it looked like Liam
32:03started to beat Whittaker up a little bit.
32:05I'm not going to lie.
32:07Obviously, the first round, Ben was a lot busier.
32:09He was busy all the way through,
32:11but he wasn't landing many clean shots,
32:13hitting a lot of goals from Liam.
32:15For me, Liam was landing the much bigger shots,
32:17much clearer shots.
32:19He was busy himself as well.
32:21For me, I'd probably have it 3-1 for Liam.
32:25Robert Smith from the Border Control
32:28is in the ring.
32:30He's had a lengthy chat with Victor Laughlin.
32:32Whatever that message is, it has been
32:34relayed to Thomas Treiber,
32:36and we are going to hear shortly.
32:38Liam Cameron has his arm up,
32:40whether or not he knows something
32:42that we don't.
32:44Whittaker is being taken out the arena,
32:46and we don't want to see that.
32:48We do not want to see that.
32:50No, definitely not.
32:52It was really gelling into a great fight.
32:54It was becoming a hard fight for Ben,
32:56but these are the types of fights
32:58that he's got to come through,
33:00and they'll be good learning fights.
33:02If he was to come through it,
33:04come out the other side,
33:06then that's a fight that will give him
33:08the experience and the seasoning
33:10that he needs in order to move on quickly
33:12because he's a serious talent.
33:14He's 27, I believe now,
33:16so they do want to start moving him more quickly.
33:18I think these are the right fights for him.
33:20Cameron was giving him a lot of problems
33:22that he was going to have to solve and work through.
33:24Okay, let's get confirmation.
33:26Ladies and gentlemen,
33:28after five completed rounds of boxing,
33:30the Red Corner is unable to continue
33:32due to an accidental injury.
33:34Therefore,
33:36we will go to the scorecards.
33:38Oh, wow, the scorecards.
33:40Judge Steve Gray scores it
33:4258-57
33:44in favor of
33:46Ben Whittaker.
33:48Judge Kieran Miscan
33:50scores it
33:5258-57
33:54in favor of Liam Cameron.
33:56And Judge
33:58Mark Bates scores it
34:0058-58.
34:02This bout is
34:04a technical decision
34:06split draw.
34:08So,
34:10a technical decision
34:12split draw.
34:14So, Liam Cameron,
34:16I mean, he's not happy there.
34:1858-57 Whittaker,
34:2058-57 Cameron,
34:22and 58-58.
34:26A split draw.
34:28Technical decision, split draw.
