00:00The sheriff of California's Riverside County says his office stopped another assassination attempt
00:04on former President Trump. But it's not clear what really might have happened had they not
00:08intervened. Trump held a rally Saturday in the Coachella Valley. Sheriff's deputies there stopped
00:1449-year-old Vem Miller at a security checkpoint. Here's Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco on
00:20Miller. He showed up with multiple passports with different names, an unregistered vehicle
00:27with fake license plate, and loaded firearms. If you're asking me right now, I probably did
00:36have deputies that prevented the third assassination attempt. Miller was arrested and released on bail
00:41that same day. However, speaking with Fox News on Sunday, Miller denied that he intended to harm
00:46Trump. He said he is 100% a Trump supporter, that he always travels with his guns and reported them
00:52at the rally, and that he carries multiple IDs because he is Armenian and some have his full
00:56Armenian name. Two sources close to the Trump campaign also told Fox News that they did not
01:01believe this was an assassination attempt. And two federal officials reportedly told CNN that there
01:06is no evidence of such a plot. But Sheriff Bianco spoke out against potential dismissals at his
01:11press conference Sunday. If we are that politically lost, that we have lost sight of common sense and
01:23reality and reason, that we can't say that, holy crap, what did he show up with all of that stuff
01:29for and loaded guns, and I'm going to be accused of being dramatic, we have a serious, serious
01:36problem in this country.
