00:00Hello, and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office.

00:04It's been an unsettled start to Sunday, particularly across southern England and Wales

00:08where many may have been woken up by an overnight thunderstorm.

00:12Further bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue moving north-eastwards throughout

00:17the rest of the day and could bring some quite strong winds at times.

00:20There is a yellow weather warning in force for thunderstorms until the early hours of

00:24Monday morning.

00:25There will be some sunshine too, especially across Wales and central and southern England

00:30this afternoon.

00:31And in the sunshine, it will be feeling pretty pleasant with temperatures of around 17-19

00:37in the south.

00:38Cooler in the north though under those cloudier skies with highs of 14-15.

00:43Not much is expected to change into this evening with a continuation of heavy showers and thunderstorms.

00:49These will be most likely in the south and east of England.

00:52Showers will become less frequent in the west into the early hours with a chance of

00:56some mist and fog patches forming for Northern Ireland, Northern England and across southern

01:00parts of Scotland.

01:03It will be another rather mild night though with towns and cities in the south generally

01:07saying in the double figures that it will be a touch cooler further north.

01:11The unsettled theme continues into the new week with further scattered showers and maybe

01:17the odd thunderstorm.

01:19Other spells of rain will clear away from Northern Ireland and Northern Scotland later

01:23on.

01:24It will again though be rather warm for the time of year and though breezy, will be feeling

01:29quite nice in any sunny spells on Monday.
