23 October - National weather forecast.
Transcript
00:00Hello. It has felt decidedly autumnal over the last few days, although a change is underway
00:06to milder weather, but rain is also making a return to the forecast. Rather cloudy today,
00:13with perhaps the odd sunny spell in the east, rain and cloud across Northern Ireland and
00:18Scotland moving eastward slowly. Feeling much warmer today with temperatures in double figures,
00:24although wind is picking up, so becoming fairly breezy. That rain across Northern Ireland
00:31and Scotland continuing to move eastwards overnight, and that rain becoming locally
00:35heavy and persistent across parts of south-west Scotland for a time, elsewhere largely dry
00:40but cloudy. Temperatures generally in double figures overnight, although just dipping into
00:46the single figures in a few more rural locations, still rather breezy for many. So a dry but
00:52cloudy start tomorrow morning for many across England and Wales, although that band of
00:57rain will move eastwards, fragmenting and weakening during the course of the day. Temperatures
01:03generally into the mid-teens, so around average for the time of year, so feeling fairly warm
01:08for many, still rather breezy. And look at the outlook, so sunshine and showers for Monday,
01:13although cloud and rain becoming locally heavy in the west for Tuesday, generally mild throughout.
