00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. We'll see some unsettled weather
00:04across the UK over the next few days, all thanks to low pressure moving in from the
00:07south-west, coming in off the Atlantic, bringing particularly wet and windy conditions to the
00:11north-west at times. Whereas towards the south-east, higher pressure certainly for time, keeping
00:15things mostly quiet. And notice the orange colours on the chart there indicating it's
00:18fairly warm air, again particularly towards the south-east of the UK. As we head through
00:23the rest of Saturday then, we'll see wet and windy weather working its way north-eastwards
00:27across the Northern Ireland, into parts of Wales, the north-west of England, into south-west
00:31Scotland too. The rain particularly heavy on the hills but not exclusively so, and brighter
00:36towards the north-east across parts of north-east Scotland there, and also brighter across the
00:39south and south-east of England. In the sunshine in the south-east doing quite well for the
00:43time of year, up to 21 or 22 Celsius, 22 is 72 in Fahrenheit, a little bit cooler and
00:49fresher the further north-east you head. As we head into the evening and during the overnight
00:53period, notice those outbreaks of rain continue to work their way north-eastwards across many
00:57parts of the UK, becoming mostly confined towards the north-east of Scotland into the
01:01early hours of Sunday, and a slow moving band of rain also developing across some central
01:05areas across parts of Wales, the north midlands and the north-west of England, again some
01:09heavy bursts at times here. Clearer towards the south-east and staying generally dry here,
01:13but notice those temperatures across the south-east, very warm in the mids, locally up at 10 Celsius,
01:1816 or 17 Celsius as a low overnight. Towards the north a little bit fresher, here down
01:23to 11 or 12 degrees. As for Sunday, well we'll see a bit of a three-way split developing
01:27in the weather, this band of rain continuing to affect the central slice of the UK. Again
01:32for a time there'll be some heavy bursts across parts of Wales in the north and north-west
01:35of England, towards the south and south-east, always holding on to drier conditions and
01:39brighter weather at times here, and brighter, fresher, with a few showers developing towards
01:43the north-west of the UK. In the sunshine, becoming very warm towards the south-east,
01:4823 or 24 Celsius, 24 is 75 in Fahrenheit and way above where they should be for the
01:54early part of October. Towards the north-west, slightly fresher air, but even here in the
01:57sunshine temperatures climbing to 17 or 18 degrees, and again that's above the seasonal
02:02average. That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office
02:05forecast by following us on social media. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
