Transcript
00:00More warm weather to come over the next couple of days across the south.
00:04Further north we're going to see more cloud on Tuesday and there'll be a few more showers around as well.
00:09We've got low pressure moving in squeezing away this area of high pressure
00:13but it is just about holding on across the far south.
00:17These weather fronts toppling across Scotland and Northern Ireland
00:20bringing some outbreaks of rain through the evening and overnight.
00:23Some heavy bursts of rain as well.
00:24One or two heavy showers over southern Scotland, northern England and Wales for a time.
00:28They're heading out into the North Sea but the cloud and rain will continue to spread in
00:32across southern Scotland and Northern Ireland through the night.
00:35Staying quite blustery as well across northern Britain.
00:37Further south the winds lighter.
00:39Could see some mist and fog patches forming as well.
00:41Pretty much everywhere though it's going to be a fairly warm night
00:44certainly across Scotland, Northern Ireland.
00:46Temperatures holding up 15, even 16 degrees in some towns and cities.
00:50So not a particularly cold start to Tuesday.
00:53Some places particularly the Midlands, eastern England should start off with quite a bit of sunshine.
00:58Could be some mist and low cloud across the south but that like on Monday should tend to melt away.
01:03It will be a cloudier day compared to Monday across north Wales and northern England.
01:08There will be some showers here through the day and same goes for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:12Quite a lot of clouds certainly initially with some showers.
01:15I think as the day goes on that cloud will tend to break up.
01:18The showers will become fewer and further between.
01:21So about a chance of a drier afternoon with some sunshine.
01:24The winds easing off as well so it will feel a bit warmer come the afternoon too.
01:28With temperatures high teens, low twenties.
01:30In eastern England with a bit more sunshine temperatures could easily get into the mid-twenties.
01:35With east Anglia and the southeast seeing some warm sunshine 26 maybe 27 Celsius possible here.
01:41Through Tuesday evening still a few scattered showers over northern England, Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
01:47But they do tend to fade so most places becoming dry as we head into Wednesday morning.
01:52It will be a cooler start certainly across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:57Cooler air in place here so temperatures much lower on Wednesday morning compared to Tuesday morning.
02:03Well down into single figures across the far north.
02:05But in the south it will be another pretty warm start on Wednesday.
02:09And again with some sunshine here temperature will jump up again into the mid-twenties.
02:14A bit more cloud on Wednesday.
02:15The chance of one or two showers for Wales maybe the Midlands.
02:18And then western Scotland seeing the showers returning especially over the Highlands.
02:22The possibility of some showery rain heading up towards Northern Ireland and western Scotland later on.
02:27But again for many places dry with the sunniest skies across the south.
02:31That's where we'll see those temperatures again getting up into the twenties 23, 24.
02:36Across the southeast and east Anglia 26 possibly 27.
02:40But further north temperatures are more likely to be in the high teens at best.
02:45Bit of uncertainty about the rest of the week for our full week ahead forecast.
