00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this July the 4th election day.
00:04Now through today low pressure remains to the north of the UK. We do have a
00:09squeeze on the ice bars meaning it's going to be windy across Scotland,
00:13Northern England and Northern Ireland and rather gusty over the hills. Any
00:17showers could merge to form a longer spell of rain across the western side of
00:21Scotland and later we'll see more cloud approach across the southwest of the UK.
00:26So wherever you are it's a breezy day if not windy and rather gusty over the
00:30hills and mountains. Frequent showers also across western and central parts
00:34of Scotland. Northern Ireland seeing a fair few showers and they are moving in
00:38across Northern England. Towards the east we'll see some brighter skies and
00:42certainly some fine weather to start the day across the rest of England and
00:45Wales. It'll be breezy here not as windy and we could see a few showers as we
00:50head through the morning into the afternoon just slowly develop but
00:53there'll be the exception rather than the rule. So it's going to feel cool
00:57across Scotland with this wind and this wind will pick up some strength as I
01:01said the risk of some higher gusts and these showers will merge to form a
01:06longer spell of rain. You can see it just running in here across the Western Isles
01:10through the day. Sunshine and showers for Northern Ireland and some showers
01:14across Northern England again could turn heavy through the afternoon. Whereas for
01:18Aberdeenshire fewer showers here. Caithness also seeing some fine weather
01:22even Orkney but we will see some more persistent rain for a time across
01:26Shetland. Through the afternoon not a lot of change. One or two showers could reach
01:31the Midlands maybe Mid Wales through the latter part of the day. Here temperatures
01:3517 to 21 degrees Celsius but feeling cool in that wind across Scotland and
01:40Northern Ireland 14 to 16 will be your high. Now if you are out and about on
01:44Thursday evening yet again it's a mix across Scotland with some more persistent
01:49rain across Western and Central Scotland. Brighter towards the north as
01:53well as the south. Watch out for a few showers. A few showers for Northern
01:56Ireland some developing across Wales the Midlands Northern England but they're
02:01fairly scattered and some fine and dry weather to end the day across East
02:05Anglia Central Southern England down towards the West Country. It will be
02:08breezy here and later we'll see more clouds slowly move in across these parts
02:13as this showery rain continues across Scotland and again we could see more
02:17clouds just moving in across Northumberland as well as Cumbria and
02:20one or two showers can't be rolled out through the evening into Friday across
02:24Northern Ireland. Towards the southwest outbreaks of rain will continue and
02:28they're drifting ever eastwards into Friday morning so it's across this zone
02:33here we'll see some wet weather. On Friday we lose the sting in the wind
02:38across Scotland still a mix of sun cloud and a few showers and some lighter
02:43showers also for Northern England but this is where the rain is central and
02:46southern parts of England and Wales 18 to 21 degrees Celsius temperatures up a
02:50notch across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Then come Saturday we have a mix
02:55of cloud as well as some sunshine also and showers particularly in the north.
02:59I'll see you later.
